Chapter 17. The Dark Cloud Organization

Strolling through the feeds of the WHA website, Lucas managed to come across a piece of information that currently seemed the talk of the moment.

In a picture with a blurred background, an intimidating figure donned in a white dojo uniform stood in a very catchy martial arts posture with what one would presume to be a sword scar on the left side of his cheek. Above the picture was the caption'' Flame Phoenix Xi Fei emerges from seclusion. Humanity now has in it's arsenal another S rank powerhouse. Congratulations to Flame Phoenix Xi Fei of Dulia country for becoming the 4th S rank powerhouse of humanity.''

Many comments strolled beneath the post, mostly messages hinted at admiration for the new S rank powerhouse of humanity..... 

'' Interesting. To think another S rank powerhouse will emerge after 50 long years ago''. Musing to himself, Lucas strolled down the feeds, then came across another piece of shocking information...

''Shocking news, for the first time in history ,a fifteen year old young man awakens at the Oslon city academy awakening center. He awakens as an E rank hunter, directly skipping the f rank''. Beneath this caption was a picture of Lucas with a shameless smirk on his face. The comments session had literally blown out of proportion. Many individuals deemed the information too absurd to believe at first, and rattled out that it was unauthentic. However, they soon were bashed hook, line and sinker by other individuals who also managed to bring their attention to the fact that the information was uploaded by the official account of the WHA .

''Although aunt Daffny mentioned how famous I had become, I did not assume it would be to this level, coupled with my recent skirmishes with that arrogant young master, it's no surprise campus fellas keep pointing fingers at me wherever I go. And what's with that picture, oh I remember, this was right after the time I was done with the official registration as a hunter of the WHA when those kids were so shocked that their mouths hung open. As expected of me, the protagonist''. Chuckling slightly, the young man proceeded to rummage through feed after feed, until, he came across a piece of information that Lucas sigh deeply in thought.

Security cameras captured that B rank hunters stationed as security agents of the mall were slaughtered before they even had the chance to even offer civilians any form of protection. Security cameras also zoomed in that the individuals responsible for this assault wore black masks and black body suits with the insignia of a red scorpion at the back of their body suits... It is assumed that they decided to leave the security cameras untampered with in order to advertise their feat to the world... In blood red, the phrase, Dark cloud shall purge the world, we are coming for you all, was left on a white wall at the mall after the brutal massacre. The whole incident took less than 2 minutes. The mysterious dark cloud organization of deranged hunters, who showed up five years ago, whose whereabouts remain unknown, still remain the greatest threat of the United Federation and the World Hunters Alliance .Already faced with the issues of diabolic beasts, and now with the overlord threat of the Dark Cloud Organisation now looming over us, may all hunters be reminded that we are not safe, and there is no time to slack off on increasing in your strength. They claim to be coming for us all, and we must be prepared for them . The video of the unfortunate event at the mall is below this caption''. Aware that this was another message uploaded by the official account of the WHA, no individual bode a sarcastic comment. Many however, expressed their discontent with the Intelligence Department of the WHA for failing to identify the secret base of the Dark cloud organization.

''To think the devil spawns that murdered mum and dad are still at it... With their whereabouts unknown, just how is the WHA supposed to deal with them?... Another mysterious thing about them is that they finish their malicious acts quickly and disappear before anyone is able to reach them... The last time an A rank hunter managed to be at a scene where these individuals launched an assault, he was murdered before he even had the time to act... There's no use thinking about them now, I should just focus on getting stronger when I can... my current strength makes me just a pebble in the grand scheme of things...I vowed that I would grow strong to a point where my fate would not be in anyone's hands.. yet... I am still so weak'' Lucas sighed, his former cheerful mood now replaced with a determined and serious one. One would think he would head to the Awakening center to train with is new-found motivation, however no... He planned on taking a shower and getting some sleep...He knew his limits...The body needed it's rest too. Stretching his muscles a little after getting up from the sofa, Lucas requested Anna the AI to hand over the bathroom towel he previously hung around his neck and left on the couch... Right before he proceeded to close the retinal screen of his ID bracelet, a notification popped up . It read '' Congratulations on your successful awakening Mr Lucas Grimstone. You have now been assigned to class 3b of the awakened by the administration system of the school. Locate your class and have a nice lecture tomorrow''

''I suppose my first class as an awakened is set for tomorrow err... I do not have to worry about the four core subjects like applied mathematics, chemistry ,history and beast knowledge, but I'm a novice in other areas... I guess I can only wait to find out how I will fair tomorrow... '' Lucas closed his retinal screen and maneuvered his way to his washroom... After freshening up, he fell on his bed, about to put this stressful day behind him, when he heard a roar from his hungry stomach...
