She stopped eating, patting her lips clean, and her eyes zeroed in on the twins. With a brief glance their way, she looked towards the king. ''I pick the twins,'' She said in a deadpan tone, causing Damien to choke on the wine he was sipping.

He coughed into his fingers, the other princes's eyes widened in shock, each glancing at her almost pityingly. 'Of all people, she chose them?' this thought filled their minds even the King's.

Ian and Hunter stood frozen, their expressions etched with disbelief that such an unbelievable happenings would cross their part.

''Your Majesty, are you sure about your choice? Perhaps you might look at my other sons again,' Damien said, practically telling her to make another choice.

He didn't want to be blamed if his friend's daughter met an early grave. He thought the twins' sadistic mischievous nature was not for the faint-hearted and some other reasons he couldn't disclose.
