Trip to Orsini

So that is the reason why Claude was currently going to the mansion of the Orsini household. Even though he was a bit reluctant to live with a bunch of strangers he didn't have much choice. He didn't fear his protection as even if someone sended a tier 4 or a sword saint Claude was confident to kill them with his awakened senses.

Still a huge argument happened afterwards as Eren wanted to stay with Claude in the marquessy but Eren didn't allow it. First, living in someone else's residence for more than a few days is rude. Second, Ares still has to teach Eren the sword saint techniques and train him to become a sword saint. Third, Eren is a year older than Claude. That's why he has to give the entrance examination to the academies in a year.

' Still it annoys me not having that dumbass around.'

Claude didn't recognise this before but he has gotten a little too attached to Eren. After all they literally spend more than half of the day together of course they are a bit closer than most of the normal brothers. They are like best friends.

' I will be going to the imperial academy before you. I am getting a head start but I won't show any mercy on you in competition. I will stay at the top of the academy waiting for you to join me.'

A small smile spread on Claude's face as he remembered the words said by Eren. They need to stay away from each other so that they can stop relying on each other and grow individually.

Claude told about his leave to flames roar's pride as well. They had a bittersweet goodbye. The 4 flames roar which were Romeo's children who were literally crying like small kids when they heard that Claude is leaving. Some of them were crying because they really were sad about Claude leaving them while others were crying because they won't get to eat grilled meat made by Claude, a bunch of lazy assholes.

The lionesses were also tearing up as for them Claude was none other than a cub who had grown old enough to leave the pride. After all, they have seen Claude grow up from a five years old to ten years. They have seen all the happy moments and sad moments of Claude's life. They have seen the indifferent Claude turn into a cold monster.

Romeo's reaction was the best or maybe the worst because he didn't know how to react when seeing a majestic lion the size of a house whining and crying like a kitten. Yes, Romeo wanted to make this moment memorable but seeing Claude's eyes he was not able to control himself and jumped on Claude crying for about an hour. The lionesses had to console Romeo till he finally decided to leave Claude.

Claude also teared up a bit as the flames roar's Pride was a kind of family to him as well. He had watched the kids of flames roar grow up and into flames roar themselves. He has seen two of the 6 cubs leave the pride. He has also seen the Romeos arguments with his childrens. He had seen many things alongside the flames roar's pride so leaving them like this after so many years of friendship was enough to move even the cold and indifferent Claude to tears.

That's why at the end the flames literally destroyed Claude by licking him to let their smell be on him. Like normal cats do.

' What would have been Ellen's reaction to this ?'

Claude suddenly thought about this situation. He didn't guess much as he knew that Ellen would have persuaded the others to let Claude come with them no matter what. After all, only two years are left until they join an academy and go on their own separate path. Yet Ares and Amber want to take those two years away. Never !! How dare they keep any of her two babies away from her !? She wouldn't have allowed them but Claude knew that if he would have talked with her she would have agreed because she was never good with her childrens in talk. After all, they were her sugar plums which she would spoil no matter what the situation. That's why saying no to them was a hard decision for her which will give her critical damage.

' hehehe…..'

Claude inwardly laughed by thinking about the situation but was not able to hide a small tear running down his cheeks.

Claude saw the environment around them changing as a small snow village appeared in his sight of view. Along with the plains which were covered in snow like most of the regions in the north.

" We have entered the territory of Fitoya, in a few hours we will reach the Orsini's family palace." One of the knights on the horse respectfully said to which Claude simply nodded.

The knights and every one along with Claude were given orders to protect Claude and listen to every order from him. They were used to such orders to bring a noble child but just not Claude was no noble, he was also a lot different than those noble scions.

Those noble kids think they are the owner of the world and can do anything they please but Claude just didn't act arrogantly. He even tried to help them when necessary. Hunting, skinning and cooking was done by Claude himself in this trio.

As the roads of the North are snowy there are not many inns on the way. That's why they had to hunt to eat food. They were very happy and satisfied with Claude's cooking that they also have taken a liking to him.

Claude also discovered something interesting and that was mana fuel. This was the same fuel used to burn Claude's house. This fuel is made by alchemists and is a necessity in the north. They don't particularly require dry wood and they produce more heat than normal fuel. The flames produced also last longer than normal flames.
