Mustard Yellow

The large bus rolled up slowly next to the curb where Ally stood awkwardly noticing others waiting for its arrival. She could only hope they wouldn't recognize her and that she could keep to herself long enough to get some clothes and quickly return home.

The doors of the vehicle opened wide and the girl walked up the steps to see a small pathway to an empty seat toward the back.

A victorious smile spread across her face loving the fact she would be at the back of the bus.

As she sat in the backside of the end of the vehicle, she noticed how there were barely any other humans on the bus, however, she could see other creatures casually sitting on the vehicle along with them. She could see how the creatures maintained a good amount of distance away from the human people.

"Look at that! A little pixie has someone to carry her around since she doesn't want to fly!" Snickered a bull looking creature with the body of a man.

He sat close to another human who read the newspaper unable to hear the conversation conspiring nearby.

He had a face like an animal that somehow turned into a human form, yet he remained extremely hairy with thick brown fur surrounding him.

Alicia ignored his taunts since interacting with the magical being would only make others glance in her direction. To all the humans, there were only seven living beings they could see aboard, but Ally knew the truth.

"Pixie?!" Exclaimed Tiera who stood on Ally's shoulder stomping her feet toward the creature. "That is very insulting!"

The bull like man chuckled as he glanced over to the human girl. "A feisty little pixie!"

Tiera muttered some curse words in his direction before turning her back to the beast like being. "Pixies do not have any magical abilities and are quite annoying compared to the fairy!" She huffed.

"I haven't met a human like you in quite some time. Your gift is quite rare these days." He narrowed his eyes toward the blonde human who he caught listening to the conversation.

Ally barely nodded so the being could see her response while not drawing any unnecessary attention her way.

"Are you nervous someone might hear you speak to me?" He taunted looking around the bus at the few motionless humans sitting causally. "I can assure you none of these humans care what you do in your spare time. But I don't even want to associate with you, so don't worry about offending me."

"Just ignore him Ally." Tiera commented patting her friends neck. "His kind is known to be quite mean." She then sent a quiet glare toward the beast who just rolled his eyes in response.

The bull like man sighed to himself as he turned his attention to the window looking at at the city. There use to be a time where magic filled this empty world, but now he had to learn to curve around the human race.

"He's a very ugly color." Tiera said looking over at the brown creature before glancing up to Ally with a gleam in her bright gold eyes. "Maybe giving him a little makeover can help with his demeanor. I can make him look more approachable and hopefully he can make some friends!"

Ally narrowed her eyes at the fairy knowing exactly what the little thing was planning.

"Don't you dare!" She hissed hoping the fairy would heed to her command. She then reached to her shoulder to grab Tiera who flew away from her too quickly.

The shiny fairy flew off the humans heading over to the beast like man who didn't notice the annoying fly who was planning to turn his world upside down. Her delicate wings were light making the mythical creatures unable to hear her properly.

Tiera lightly touched his brown fur on the beast's backside making the color change to a bright mustard yellow. Laughing as quietly as she could muster, the fairy flew back to her human friend holding her hand over her mouth covering her little sounds.

"Tiera! Fix this now!" Ally said with wide eyes only imaging how the beast would react. She kept her stance still hoping the beast wouldn't see what the little fairy had just done. "Please don't do this today!"

"No way! He called me a pixie!" She pouted giving her friend a deep frown.

"We are on a moving vehicle and if he gets angry, people will get hurt! This is very dangerous!" Ally said with worry almost tempted to pull the emergency break she was closely next to.

"Relax! It will go away in a couple hours. I only made it temporary." Tiera said rolling her eyes. "He needs to learn a lesson!"

The bus finally came to a stop making Alicia notice they had arrived at their destination. She quickly stood up almost running down the aisle to the bus doors. She quickly stepped down looking behind to see the bus beginning to depart.

She sighed a breath of relief before glaring daggers toward Tiera who gave her a charming smile.

"What's wrong?" The fairy asked in a sweet tone almost tempting the human to throw her in the trash.
