Chapter 139 Seventh

Walking through the illuminated streets, Prince Tsuku looked side to side, seemingly looking for something.

Then, a guard, on his nightly patrol, noticed his presence, causing him to come over and ask politely. "Prince. How may I help you tonight?"

Prince Tsuku calmly turned to them and asked. "Are there anymore guards around this area?"

To which the guard replied. "Yes. Because of the recent events, security, especially at night, have been doubled."

"Very well. Rise."

The guard then stood up."

Prince Tsuku then said with a serious tone. "Not a word of me being here, got it?"

With a polite, yet slightly terrified bow, the guard replied. "I understand."

Then, the two of them went off of their own ways.

Taking a turn towards a dark alleyway, Prince Tsuku hid from the moonlight.

Just then, a shadow wizzed past up ahead on the rooftops.

With haste, Prince Tsuku gave chase.

Running alongside the dimly illiminated canal that weaved in and out of the hilly landscape, Prince Tsuku followed the shadow.

Then.

It was gone.

Prince Tsuku then found himself in an alleyway, that is pressed between two buildings.

A damp, silent alleyway, not a single cricket nor sound could be heard.

Ahead of him, lay nothing.

No litter. No random piece of wood. Not even a pebble. Just a smooth path ahead of him.

Yet, Prince Tsuku remained still and silent as a rock.

Then, with a calm motion, he slowly drew his blade.

As the moonlight shone down upon it's silver blade, it happened in an instant.

Suddenly, in a single breath, a figure dropped from the rooftops, blocking his front

A figure also peeked out of the ground like it was water, assisting the figure at the front.

And four figures emerged from the buildings' walls that surrounded him, preventing any sideways movement.

As Prince Tsuku calmly faced off with his opponents, he noticed a familiar presence blocking his rear.

Then, time stood still.

Neither Prince Tsuku nor his opponents made a move while the cold nightly wind brushed against their cheeks.

Then, just as the wind stopped, it started.

With the help of a dash and an upwards slash, Prince Tsuku made his way to his right, attacking the nearest opponent.

With a lean backwards, the opponent managed to dodge his blade, who then retaliated immediately with the help of a very sharp looking fork.

With ease, Prince Tsuku dodged to the side, but was caught off guard when the fork released concentrated blasts of air from it's tips.

As three turbulent spheres wizzed past his head, another opponent charged in, allowing the previous person that Prince Tsuku attacked the ability to get some distance.

As Prince Tsuku noted that the air bubbles popped just before they made contact with the walls not too far away, he attacked the second opponent.

Just as Prince Tsuku was about to slice open their neck, the second opponent undid their belt and calmly blocked his blade with it, smiling at Prince Tsuku's face while they did it.

Just as Prince Tsuku took a step back to regain a foothold, he then found himself sinking into the stone pathway like it was mud.

Prince Tsuku hastily embedded his sword into solid ground before pulling himself out.

Then, the other four took the opportunity to attack.

A set of blue needles on strings.

A bag full of black liquid.

A rock that was somehow turned into a yo-yo.

And a familiar barrage of sharp leaves.

Firstly, Prince Tsuku deflected the needles away from him.

Secondly, he slashed down into the bag filled with a black liquid, causing the majority of his blade to be covered with it.

Thirdly, he dodged out of the way of the sharp leaves while blocking some of the ones that still headed his way.

Fourthly, he dealt with the DIY yo-yo by simply ducking underneath it, causing it to smash into a wall.

Without even giving him room to breathe, the man with the belt attempted to whip him with it.

As the belt headed for his face, Prince Tsuku noticed that some leaves got stuck onto his blade thanks to the black liquid.

Then, with an upwards slash, Prince Tsuku did not only block the incoming attack, but also disarm his opponent with the help of the black liquid, preventing the belt from getting removed off of his blade.

Then, with an elbow, Prince Tsuku smashed the now disarmed opponent's face into the wall, knocking them out cold.

Then, he noticed that he was sinking into the ground once more.

He then saw a head poking out of the ground not too far from him.

Then, after preventing himself from sinking into the ground, by using the knocked out opponent's body as a foothold, Prince Tsuku leapt in the air.

Just as he was about to land, he kicked the head on the ground so hard that the person flew out of the ground before slamming into a wall.

And with a knee to the chin, that's another opponent down.

Next came the person who threw the bag filled with the black liquid.

He attacked bare-fisted, but his hands where covered in the same black liquid that wrapped itself around Prince Tsuku's blade.

Due to the quick nature of the person's attacks, Prince Tsuku was forced to back off, only to realize that a barrage of leaves are headed for his back.

With a weird motion, Prince Tsuku swung at the bare-fisted person, missing them completely.

Just as the person was about to smile, the belt that was stuck on Prince Tsuku's blade thanks to the black liquid, smashed into the person's face, causing a bit of blood to emerge.

But before they could recover, Prince Tsuku wrapped his arm around them before spinning them around.

Just as they stopped spinning, they then found themselves with a body shredded with sharp leaves, with Prince Tsuku hiding behind them.

Just as the third opponent's body slammed lifelessly onto the ground, Prince Tsuku charged at the person with the needles on strings.

And with a quick stab through the chest, they were dealt with.

Next came the person showering him with deadly leaves, who seemed to be conjuring them with the help of a fan made out of leaves.

With a swipe of their arm, another barrage of leaves headed for Prince Tsuku, who blocked it by using the body of the opponent he stabbed as a shield.

And with a mighty push, Prince Tsuku braved the barrage of leaves while using a meat shield, causing him to only receive small, yet deep cuts.

Then finally, he was face-to-face with his fifth opponent, who tried to slash at him with their leaf fan, but was quickly dealt with by a downwards slash.

Just as the fifth opponent's blood dyed his clothes and blade in red, Prince Tsuku charged at his sixty opponent, being the person with the DIY yo-yo.

And with a defiant look on their face, they swung their yo-yo at Prince Tsuku's face, which was their last thanks to being slashed from the left waist all the way up to their right eye.

Just as his sixth opponent was collapsing onto the ground, his seventh has already released their air bubbles out if their forks, which was now heading towards him.

With a cold, bloodied face, Prince Tsuku merely glanced at the turbulent air bubble.

Then, he took a step forward without any hesitation.

Then, just as the air bubbles was about to hit him, they burst.

"Tsk!" With an annoyed click, the seventh opponent ran away from the scene without any hesitation.

Then, with a deep breath, Prince Tsuku yelled. "Oi! Guards! Get over here!"

As his voice echoed through out that part of the capital, Prince Tsuku tore apart his sleeve.

Then, from the base of his sword, he rid it of the belt, the leaves, and the majority of the black liquid.

He then threw the now dirty, but still recognizable sleeve onto the ground before he chased after his seventh opponent while the full moon still loomed up above, only to be then covered with a layer of dark clouds that prevented any of it's light from getting through.
