Chapter 6: Haruto Vs Arashi! Arashi Explodes Back Into Action!

Spectator 1: That was amazing!

Spectator 2: Yeah!

Spectator 3: He went up against 2 Augmenters and won. He's amazing!

Spectator 4: I can't wait for his next match

Hirata: Kousuke that was amazing!

Kenji: I can't believe you pulled off a Bicycle Kick!

Katsuo: Damn it. How could this happen?

Sato: I'm sorry. this was my fault. I wasn't good enough to beat him. I'm too weak.

Sato falls to the ground clutching his injury.

Katsuo: Sato you were injured.

Sato- That was amazing. Even though my Augmentation gives me a perfect counter he shattered my expectations and pulled off a Bicycle Kick. Meanwhile I was useless.

Katsuo notices that Sato is feeling down.

Katsuo: Sato you...

Katsuo slams his fist onto the ground.

Sato- Damn it all. We lost.

Kousuke is still on the ground having taken a fall after performing the Bicycle Kick. Hirata offers him his hand as Kousuke takes it as Hirata pulls him up. Kousuke approaches Sato and offers him his hand.

Kousuke: You've got one awesome Augmentation but if you don't train your body to keep up it's all meaningless.

Sato takes his hand and gets up as Kousuke puts Sato's arm over his shoulder and helps him to the Infirmary.

The enter the Infirmary and Kousuke helps Sato sit down.

Kousuke: You've probably made your injury a bit worse but I bet you'll be...

Sato: Could I have won?

Kousuke shifts his attention completely to Sato.

Sato: If I had trained my body to be as good as yours?

Kousuke: Maybe.

Sato: But you thought that my Augmentation was a perfect counter!

Kousuke: Yes but I'm under the impression that my Augmentation gives me some kind of physical boost. I'm also not sure you could reach my position physically either given I have such a huge head start.

Sato (defeated): So it was impossible.

Kousuke: No that's not what I said. Nothing is impossible if you try your best.

Sato: What are you talking about? I was trying my best!

Kousuke: No you weren't. If you really try your best. If you don't make excuses and focus yourself to achieve your goal and prepare yourself, then and only then does something that is impossible appear. That is only time where failure is impossible!

Sato looks at Kousuke in awe.

Kousuke: I admit I haven't done my best and prepared myself which is why I lost against Haruto without scoring a single goal but next time my best will be better than his.

Sato's Aura turns to a shade of blue instead of light blue.

Sato- He's completely sincere. His thoughts completely match his words.

Kousuke: Anyways you were real impressive. You were capable of so much even though you were injured.

Sato- This guy is the one. I want to follow him down the path he's taking. I want to see where it will take me.

Kousuke: I got to head back to my team. Are you going to be alright?

Sato: Yeah.

Kousuke begins to leave.

Sato: Kousuke!

Kousuke stops.

Sato: Wherever you go after the First Test is over... I want to follow you.

Kousuke turns his head back to look at Sato.

Kousuke (smirking): Yeah sure. Do what you want.

Kousuke leaves and turns to the right to find Katsuo standing there eavesdropping.

Kousuke (sweating and speaking in a joking tone): Katsuo. Sorry but it seems I've stolen your teammate.

Katsuo: Take good care of him.

Kousuke looks surprised but calms himself.

Kousuke: Yeah. Leave him to me.

Katsuo: Kousuke. I hate this place but spending time with the people in my team wasn't so bad. And getting to go against you head to head wasn't so bad either. I don't regret anything but when we go against each other again I'll win!

Kousuke: We'll see.

Kousuke leaves.

Kousuke enters the field again seeing Hirata he walks up to him.

Kousuke: Hirata. That's 2 wins and 1 loss for us.

Hirata: Yeah next match let's make it 3 wins.

Kenji: That's right. Next match is the last one. It's against Oriyamaru Ashina's team.

Hirata: Let's go watch the next match.

Kousuke: Haru's match against Arashi huh?

They all move to the stands ready to watch the next match.

Hirata: How do you think this will go Kousuke.

Kousuke: Arashi is amazing but I don't see this ending well for him.

Kousuke- I need to find out what I need to do to beat Haruto and this match might show me what that is.

Haruto's team starts with the ball. Haruto passes to his team mate and rushes up field zig zagging his way through in front of the goal.

Kousuke- What is he doing? There's no way anyone can pass to him there.

Haruto then rushes in to support his teammate who struggling to get through.

Kousuke- Did he realize getting through wasn't possible? But he's not that stupid. He should've known that from the start.

The ball is stolen from Haruto's team as Arashi's team passes to him and he shoots using his Augmentation via his left foot but he completely misses.

Arashi- Shit... I can't do this. Using my left foot to shott? How can I? I'm useless.

Haruto's goalkeeper passes the ball when Kazuki intercepts it.

Kazuki: Arashi get your head in the game!

Kazuki uses his arm to stop someone from stealing the ball.

Arashi: I can't shoot anymore. My dream is dead.

Kazuki: Well my dream isn't.

Arashi: What am I supposed to do?

Kazuki: I don't know but figure it out already so we can win.

Arashi then gets an epiphany.

Arashi- It's just a hunch but...

Arashi: Give me the ball.

Arashi dashes towards the goal.

Kazuki drags the ball back and roulettes as he then passes the ball down the field.

Arashi: I'm almost in position.

Suddenly Haruto appears sporting his Aura.

Haruto: How boring.

Haruto intercepts the pass and then shoots it down field.

Ichiro- What is he doing?

Haruto then teleports down the field and shoots the ball into the goal.

Announcer: Goal!!! 5 minutes and 6 seconds everyone!

Kousuke- Why didn't he do that before?

The scoreboard changes to Striker Team A (0) : Winger Team A (1)

Kazuki: Arashi. You had a plan?

Arashi: A hunch. I've already decided. Either my dream dies here or it's reborn. Everything is going to be decided by the next goal I score.

Kazuki smiles. The ball restarts as Arashi passes to Kazuki as they both rush up the field. Ichiro attempts to block off Arashi.

Ichiro: Whatever you're planning don't even think about it. You're useless without your right foot. The ironic thing is that you did that to yourself you idiot.

Ichiro and Winger Team A all prevent all of Arashi's shot options.

Haruto- He won't pass. He plans to stake his career on this next shot.

Arashi shoots the ball with his left foot.

Ichiro: But there's no clear shot course!

The ball flies off course to the right of the goal but suddenly another explosion triggers on the ball at it changes direction as it hits the back of the net with the goalkeeper absolutely stunned.

Announcer: Goal! Hasshinsha Arashi scores a explosive goal at the 8 minutes and 13 second mark.

Arashi: Football is an explosion!

Spectator 1: Holy shit that was amazing!

Spectator 2 (A Child): I knew Arashi wouldn't sit back and let his team lose!

Spectator 3: I'm voting for him hands down!

Kazuki: Arashi... you...

Arashi's Aura just now was black as it settles into a dark green color.

Kousuke- Arashi's still getting stronger even after that huge setback with his foot.

Yoshino watches this and sits up intrigued.

Yoshino: What's this? Black Aura?

Kazuki hugs Arashi as he lifts him into the air.

Kazuki: You did it!!!

Arashi: I've found myself again.

The scoreboard changes to Striker Team A (1) : Winger Team A (1).

Haruto: You seem to be quite happy to score 1 goal. I'll show you what the best looks like.

Haruto- How boring.

Haruto and his team mates start with the ball as they rush up the field.

Arashi uses his explosions to catch up to Haruto as he attempts to go shoulder to shoulder with him but just as he attempts to lean into it Haruto teleports back a few steps causing Arashi to fall over as he then jumps over a collapsed Arashi and recovers the ball and shoots scoring easily.

Announcer: A goal from Tasogare Haruto as he reclaims his team's lead at 10 minutes and 5 seconds.

The ball restarts as Haruto rushes in to steal the ball from Kazuki. Kazuki however passes behind him only for Haruto to appear behind him ready to intercept.

Kazuki: Damn this guy's teleporting bullshit!

Arashi is already there and recovers the ball as he dribbles forwards and shoots the ball as it goes off course but switches direction via an explosion. However Haruto sees this and teleports to intercept it.

Haruto- The same trick?

Haruto then passes the ball down field to a teammate who picks it up and rushes forward.

Kazuki: I have to stop him.

Kazuki goes shoulder to shoulder with Haruto but Haruto passes the ball and teleports in front of the goal.

Kazuki: Stop that ball!

Arashi and Kazuki try to stop the midfielder desperately but they can't as the Midfielder recovers the ball and passes it to Haruto who shoots and scores.

Announcer: And that's a wrap people! At the 13 minutes an 46 second mark the match ends with Winger Team A as the winners.

The scoreboard then changes to Striker Team A (1) [Hasshinsha Arashi] : Winger Team A (3) (Tasogare Haruto, Tasogare Haruto, Tasogare Haruto).

Kousuke: You have to be kidding me! A hat trick again?

Kousuke stands up in shock.

Kousuke- I knew that Arashi would lose but still. Like this?

Hirata: Haruto is really is just something else isn't he?

Kousuke (still in shock): Yeah.

Kousuke's family walks through the stands and then notices Kousuke and walks over to him. Haruka runs over and jumps at her brother

Haruka: Big Brother!

Kousuke catches her a bit shocked and confused.

Kousuke: Haruka? What the?

Kousuke looks around to see his parents while Hirata and Kenji notice them as well.

Kousuke: Father. Mother.

Kyojuro: You were amazing in that match son!

Hiyori: You did great.

Kousuke: Thanks.

Hiyori: You took a bit of fall earlier though. You okay?

Kousuke: I'm fine.

Haruka: Big Brother was so cool!

Kyojuro: Was that match fair though? There were 2 Augmenters.

Kousuke: You know. I'm not sure but we still won so I doubt there'll be a fuss about it.

Hiyori notices Hirata and Kenji.

Hiyori: Oh I'm sorry. You 2 are?

Hirata and Kenji introduce themselves while Kousuke hugs Haruka.

Hiyori: Oh so you're his teammates.

Kyojuro: Oh is that so? Thank you so much for taking care of our Kousuke.

Hirata: Huh? Oh no. It's actually the opposite.

Kenji: Of course. He's proven to be quite interesting.

Hiyori: Oh. Well that's good.

Hirata- Without Kousuke I probably would quit football eventually.

Hiyori: That seemed like a tough match though. So why don't you come home for a bit.

Kyojuro: Yes. We'll celebrate a bit.

Haruka: Yay Big Brother is coming home!

Kousuke: I can't.

Haruka: Huh? Why not Big Brother?

Kousuke: I have to train. I have to train so that I can beat people like Tasogare Haruto. And in my next match I'll be facing off against someone just like him.

Hirata- Right. Our next match is with Ashina.

Hiyori: I heard Ren is...

Kousuke: I know.

Kyojuro: What're you planning on doing then?

Kousuke (determined but with a hint of anger): We'll settle it on the field. I'll destroy him completely.

Hiyori: Wait what? Kousuke. Can't you 2 just make up already?

Kyojuro: It's fine. Go for the win.

Hiyori: Kyojuro! Don't encourage him!

Kyojuro: Hiyori. It's just him being competitive. It's fine.

Hiyori (reluctantly): All right.

Hiyori- I'm not so sure about that.

Haruka: Big Brother. Are you and Ren fighting? Why?

Kousuke: Haruka... It's complicated.

Kyojuro: Hiyori. Haruka has school tomorrow and it's getting late.

Hiyori: We have to go. But please stay safe. And try to talk to him okay?

Kousuke nods as they begin to leave but Haruka turns around and waves to him.

Haruka: Good luck in your next match Big Brother!

Kousuke smiles as his family sets off back home.
