Turntables [2/2]

Crash!

The slash exploded the ground where Junya and Wenji were previously. The impact of the blast echoed slightly through the canopy above.

This subtle detail was enough to make Forsen know they were not down for the count. He took his sabre in arms and rushed toward the dust hoping to catch them off guard.

The print of his shoe barely made a print on the ground, however, he travelled and a quick speed.

As the distance grew shorter he saw a figure standing on the other side of the smoke. He never cared about being caught by surprise and attacked.

His sabre moved effortlessly creating multiple slashes with greater intensity than the ones before.

Woosh!

The figure made a single burst of speed and cleared most of the smoke in an instant.

Forsen started wide-eyed seeing Junya rocketing toward him knee first. The speed was to quickie for him to react, and the same could be said for the speed he was travelling at.'

Crack!

As Junya's flying knee connected it echoed with the shattering of bones.'

"Heuk"

Forsen was unable to scream in pain and his mouth was limited to something he could only spit blood from. His nose was pressed inward grossly and blood was everywhere.

"Kheuk…kheh." His blood gated between his airway for some time, and then soon he passed out from the fright of being grievously injured, which was something he had never seen before. He quickly lost his calm demeanour and lost his cool.

If he was able to calm down he could see that he would have still been able to fight, however, he panicked.

"I take being healthy for granted. It's a lot easier to fight when you can see what going on, felt like my head was spinning in a blender"

He straightened his uniform brushing off all the scuff marks that appeared on it.

'To think after all that I only have a few scuff marks'

He was pleasantly surprised by the uniform, just wearing its armour like a layer of protection. Also, it could have acted as a weapon as well an example was how crushed he left Forsen's face with a single knee.

A part of that fact was he got a direct blow in the only area where he wasn't protected. This was because of his carelessness, if it was anywhere else, it would have hardly had that much of an impact.

'I should ask Alice if there is anything else about the uniform I should know'

It took a few seconds for him to catch his breathing thinking of his next move. Forsen was breathing so he wasn't worried about him being dead.

'He should be fine with his body's innate regeneration.'

Turning his head he turned his head to Wenji who was dishevelled with his hair swirled in a mess and his breathing was still slightly shaky. He touched all over his body to make sure that he wasn't missing any chunks of his body.

After his initial confusion, he managed to come to his senses about what happened.

While thinking, Junya could see him jolt his head and look toward him.

Junya's brows were furrowed aggressively and still had a slight scowl on his face. Wenji instinctively squealed and crawled back when their eyes met.

"Err-Uhh, W, wait man… thanks for helping me out, I never expected them to betray me like that. I owe you one, well anyway, I'll best be on my way"

Wenji stood up and dusted off his pants, with his legs wanting nothing more than to take off running, but somehow he felt like he would get away.

'He has just knocked out cold a few seconds ago and those guys gave him a real good thrashing. His wounds ceased bleeding completely with that short amount of time, that means he had more potions, not even including the ones he gave me.'

Hmmm

'They also looted his body, I'm sure of that much, still, he had enough potions to give me one and have some leftover for himself.'

Junya suddenly found his ticket to completing the trial quickly.

"Don't think I forgot that you tried to con me with some fake product, I should crush your head right now for putting me in a situation where I had to risk my life for you to give me the correct potion."

He chuckled softly in a tone that made Weji's expression fall. He hadn't forgotten about what happened.

"I never knew that you got the wrong thing, Honestly brother, you don't need to speak to me in that tone of voice." He tried immediately to plead his case.

"Enough bullshit, I'm calling the shot from now on. First things first, tell me how you keep getting potions. How do you keep getting more even when they took everything from you."

"I, I can't tell you that." Wenji knew that the question was bound to come based on his expression.

"Do you think after saving your dumbass that you have any right to keep lying to me?". Junya lifted him by the shirt and held him into the air. they were face to face, however, Junya found it difficult to look into his icy cold glare.

"Look man, I am sorry for what happened before, but… I really can't tell you, besides didn't you lie about your name. What sense does it make that you can have secrets but I can't."

"Stop trying to pull excuses out of your ass, My name is Junya Wo..tan..be, Why is it so hard to believe?!"

"I- Are you even being serious? The Wotanbe family is one of the Ten founding families besides all the members are public and I've never heard of you before. If someone that could take over the Wotanbe was born how could that not be known by now? That's how I know…no, I'm sure you're lying"

"I never said I was a part of that family. You asked my name and I gave it to you, that was an assumption you came to by yourself."

Junya's grip around his collar became tight enough to make his neck red.

Sigh!

He let Wenji go and rubbed between his eyes slightly relaxing his nerves.

"I don't even know why I even tried talking to you. I lost way too much time, I'm sure those guys will have a fun time with you, I doubt they'll be happy to know that I broke their friend, so I'm getting out of here." Junya bent his stronger foot back before leaning forward to use Asura's step.

"Wait!"

Wenji shouted knowing that he wasn't in the best situation himself.

"I'm sorry, I think we should at least work something out, for the benefit of both of us"

"Not interested, you will slow me down and there isn't anything you could offer me." Junya sounded indifferent and unamused by his tone.

Wenji knew he had to make a sweet deal. Junya waited for a while longer seeing that Wenji was thinking deeply about something.

A few seconds later, he spoke. "I... I have a lot more potions, I can give you some on the condition that we work together to leave."
