Haruto held the tube in his hand before he directly drink the black liquid inside the tube.

Thud! Thud!

Haruto opened his eyes widely as he fell down on his knees. He felt that his heart was about to burst out of his chest. It was throbbing widely.

It feels like a thousand ants were crawling around his body. It feels hot and itchy at the same time.

"Argh!" Haruto groaned and saw the black veins were popping out of his arms. He found that it's not only in his arms but it's around his whole body.

These feeling last for about ten minutes. It leaves him gasping on the ground trying to catch his breath.

"That really feel something uncomfortable..." He muttered in a low voice. He turned around as he lay down on his back looking at the ceiling.

Beads of sweat drip down from his forehead to the ground.

He slowly out his hand on his pocket and took out his phone. He checked the changes of his stats.

The increased in his stats were not that great. The [Strength], [Agility], [Vitality], and [Perception] attributes increase by 0.1.

One take of black fluid would hardly increase his strength. He need to take it everyday like a medicine to see the effect.

Four months... The people here already drunk the black fluid four months ahead of him. The difference in strength was large so he need to be careful when meeting them.

It need ten days before his stats increase by 1 and in thirty days his stats would only increase by 3. It seems that he really need to find those vaccine.

Day one of the outbreak.

I'm a doctor of the Galgon Private Hospital. The hell start this day. One of our patients died because of heart failure. I'm sad because I once again failed to save a life. I'm preparing to call the family of the patient but I stopped because something strange happened. The patient which was supposed to be dead stood up. I was stupefied when I saw this. I going to talk to the patient when the patient grabbed the nurse beside and bit her. I'm shocked and I screamed on the top of my lungs. I quickly exited the room.

Day two.

Chaos already spread out in the city. I'm with my husband and my three children. The law enforcer tried to suppressed the chaos. My family stayed in the house watching the news. My husband went out of the house and he came back with a bunch of food and medicine.

Day three.

The news said that the government were about to suppress the living dead. That was the last time we heard something in the news. All the channels stopped working at that time.

Day fifteen.

We somehow survive for two weeks. We still have a lot of foods here and it were enough for us to last for few months. She's a doctor so she have an idea when the zombies will rotted.

Day fifty.

The zombies were weak but they have overwhelming numbers. I have a guess that most the people here in this city were dead. We heard something from the radio that there's a military base in the neighboring city.

Day fifty one.

Our family decided to stayed here in our home. We don't have the power to go to other city. The number of the zombies outside were countless.

Day ninety three.

The government fell and only a handful of people were working to keep it running. They were doing everything to support the masses. It was this day that the government made a breakthrough in their research. They found a way to made use the virus in our bodies.

Day one hundred sixteen.

We finally extracted the black fluid inside the zombie's brain. At first we were afraid to use this.

Day one hundred thirty.

We grew slightly powerful from taking those black fluid. We could kill one or two zombies.

Day one hundred fifty six.

My husband went out of the house to collect a weapon. He went to the police station. Once we got a weapon we will go to the neighboring city. In that military base. He came back looking pale...

The diary stopped after day one hundred fifty six. He had an idea what happened after that. The zombie must have bit the husband but he didn't tell anyone in the family. This lead to the downfall of their family.

There's a lot of information that he need to process. In less than two hours since he arrived here, there's already a lot of things that happened.

One month wasn't enough to finish all the quest. He guess that there's no other choice but to get help from the locals of this world.

Haruto stood up and put a surgical mask on his face. He also wear a gloves and proceeded to take out the black fluid in the brain of the zombies.

It took him one and a half hour before he managed to get all the black fluid from the four zombies.

He found a backpack and put the things he need inside. He wasn't going to stay inside one place for too long if he wants to complete the mission.

Haruto was standing beside the window looking down the zombies wandering around the city.

"Hmm...?"

He frowned as he saw a zombie moving faster than the other zombies. The zombie were moving at the speed of ordinary person.

"It must be one of those mutated zombies." He said in a low voice while observing it.

Then, he looked at the buildings surrounding this house.

One of this building was his target. He will go from one building to another building. He doesn't want to go outside while the zombies were chasing him. Although it was slow, it was enough for him as this was safer than running alone in the middle of the street.

He picked the building that he will spend his night. The building were one hundred meters away from this house. The building were a huge mall and it seems that there's zombies inside.

He doesn't need to worry about those zombies. Looking at the building, it seems that there were not that many zombies inside the mall.

He opened the window and held a vase in his hand.

He took a deep breath and throw it outside.

Clang!

The vase was shattered when it landed on the ground. It gathered the attention of every zombies in the vicinity.

Haruto quickly went down to the first floor. He picked up the backpack and putted the pistol on his waist.

"Quick!"

He opened the door and saw the zombie gathering around in one area. He run in the opposite direction and opened the door in one of the buildings.

He took out his knife as he saw that there's few zombies blocking his way.

"Grr!!" The zombie opened its mouth.

"What a simple move!"

He kicked the chest of the zombie and stabbed its head.

Putchi!

Haruto didn't even turned his head to look at the zombie. He just continue running as it's only a matter of time before the pack of zombies behind notice him.

There were still a few hindrance in front of him.

Since they were slow, he was going to avoid them. With his speed, he could easily leave them behind.

Swooosh!

Haruto swiftly moved his body as he avoided all the zombies. In just a minute, he arrived in front of the mall.

The mall was closed and the only way to go inside were through the underground parking lot.
