On the Way

Tokimo sighed, he hadn't made any companion at all, and he had acted rash and killed the only one that seemed to agree with his goal. He had felt as stupid as a grain of sand right now. Though, Tokimo didn't pay no mind to this feeling. He was well aware of the dangers of carrying along people who didn't trust him.

Tokimo scolded himself.

But, in the end he didn't care all that much. He wasn't close with Zekoru any at all, and knew that it was better for him to be dead than alive. Right now, he only needed to focus on one thing.

Tokimo decided to talk with Zedith again, so he reestablished the link the two of them had formed in the past when they were dealing with Yagura. The summoned bijuu was extremely intelligent, and it was creepily wise.

'Zedith, you there?' Tokimo thought in his mind. He needn't speak out loud as he knew Zedith could hear him without much issue. He felt a rumbling within his mind, before a deep, and gruff voice spoke.

"Father, I'm so happy you've decided to contact me after all this time!" Zedith's deep and monstrous voice juxtaposed his giddy demeanor, but Tokimo was used to it by now, so he didn't care enough to acknowledge it.

'Zedith, I've come to to you to have a meaningful conversation, it's about our future plans. How can I acquire any human allies? While it is absolutely possible for me to do this all myself, It'd be rather lonely and I'm beginning to get tired of not having much human interaction.'

Zedith deadpanned. Wasn't this the same exact guy acting all high and mighty about not being like the rest of the humans? He didn't dare to voice those thoughts though, because he knew nothing good would come out of it.

"You know father, I watched that completely one sided beat down between you on Zekoru. I completely agree with you killing the man. He had dangerous information about you, and was going to escape. You were justified in every right, so you shouldn't feel anything about killing him." Zedith stated matter of a factly.

'It's insulting that you think I honestly care one bit about that person. But you're right, how dare I insult my intelligence? It's what's got us this far after all. My schemes have always worked, and nothing seems to have gone wrong yet.' Stated Tokimo.

"That's what's a little worrying father. You seem to know everything that's going to happen before it even takes place? Don't you feel that there is trouble on the way?" Inquired Zedith, who wore a face of skepticism.

'It could very well be possible. But if there is trouble, it's definitely not going to be any time soon, plus my powers are already something not to be trifled with. You haven't seen the full extent.' Tokimo brushed it off.

'Anyways, Zedith.' Tokimo continued, 'Where should we go next? My short term goal for now is to gain some allies who will be useful to me and my plans. Who do you suppose we should visit next?'

Tokimo thought for a little bit more, before he had an epiphany. 'Wait! I've got it! I've found exactly who to go for next.'

"Do tell, father?" Zedith was a little confused as he had never seen his father this energetic before.

'What about Orochimaru? We need to track down his exact location and find him. I don't know if you know this already, Zedith, but I have everything he could ever hope to want.' Tokimo stopped and looked at Zedith to see if he knew what he was getting at, but was only met with a look of confusion.

'You see, Zedith, Orochimaru's ultimate goal is to achieve all the jutsu, learn all jutsu, and obtain immortality. If I learn all the Jutsu, and manipulate him using my skills, he would surely be willing to work with us. I have a multitude of techniques I have already mastered, so all I have to do is demonstrate the grasp in our strength using the plethora of techniques and powers I have mastered, and after that, he's ours.'

'I dunno father, that man has displayed some extraordinary intelligence when it comes to manipulating people. Plus, he has years of experience. It won't be that easy.'

Tokimo had to stop and think. Zedith was completely right, but based of of his prior knowledge of the anime, he knew that the man was often critically impulsive when something he wanted was right in front of him. That's something that he could most definitely use to his advantage. It's akin to a mouse or a rodent trap. Set the cheese, and the rodent shall go after it, ignoring all dangerous signs before. Then, the trap activates.

'You're right, Zedith. But just because it won't be easy, doesn't mean it's not a possibility. Sure, he might recognize our alterior motives, but we still have the things he wants. He will most likely ignore it. We still have the positional advantage because we have something he needs, and he doesn't have anything to give back to us but his company. The real challenge is finding his whereabouts. The mans' as slippery as a rat covered in oil.'

'True, he always had elaborate escapes and defintiely knows how to infiltrate a place and make a base of operations or hide there....We'll have to work to find him.' Zedith acknowledged.

'Exactly, it'll provide for some mental gymnastics. It'll be nice to actually have to use my brain instead of relying on physical strength. That's what I love about this world.' Tokimo quirked his eyebrow, a small smile on his face.
