Eating Longue

"Huft… that took too much of a time…" I sighed as I opened the door to our hotel room after arriving back with the team.

Without hesitation, Hazana ran through me and jumped to the bed with her back leaning on its headboard. She then immediately took out her tablet with a serious face and fiddled with it in a hurry.

"What's the rush Hazana?" I asked, a bit confused by her behavior.

"It's right 1600 hrs, Your Highness. The energy course is starting!" Her expression suddenly changed, I take it she's already inside the class with the camera pointing at her.

"Oh… that got me thinking, wasn't Revian supposed to be in class at 1300 hrs before? When we're at the Government Office?" I quietly asked Chiya and Anna, not wanting to bother the lightning girl.

"I think he attended it. Face on beast, ears on Kaoma." Anna answered.

"Ah… good then. Well if he didn't attend it then at least we can negotiate with the lecturer since we have a good alibi for it." I said to the two.

"Well, you should at least sharpen your silver tongue, My prince."

During our chattering, Chiya out of nowhere pulled me and Anna back through the door of our room. "Let's not bother Hazana." She said as we were standing idly in the corridor.

"Have some interesting idea?" I pleaded for a piece of her mind.

"Let's go downstairs! Taste some of their cuisines. Maybe we'll get some sweet data for Mrs. Ara's assignment." Her voice could be heard echoing through this empty corridor.

"Hmm… not a bad suggestion I suppose."

The three of us then went to the Eating Longue located behind the receptionist desk on the ground floor. The place was actually had customers sitting on a good number of tables, but seeing most of them are Kaoma, it could mean that this place also serves as a restaurant, not just somewhere to eat for the hotel residents.

The 'restaurant' is quite on the upper side echelon by just looking at how they décor the table with candles and silk cloth. The atmosphere felt fancy with the chandeliers sparkling their beautiful glass ornament right above us.

I'm sure silk is highly expensive for most of the Kaoma, but knowing hotels like this are funded by the guild, I'm sure they won't hesitate to put it all over the place since it's also a tact to promote their race specialty to us foreigner.

"Fancy some native, love?" A waitress came to us right after we comfort our bum on the seats of the table.

Now, in an eatery such as this I would've guessed they'll dress up their waiters in some long sleeves and vest, also apron to cover their legs, but no. This waitress's attire felt like she coquettishly asked me to breed her, even Chiya the queen of seduction herself was impressed by her.

She wore a super skimpy one-piece lingerie with a really beautifully designed laced apron and headband, all in the shade of red and black. Her bust and butt were protruding like a fucking mountain while bouncing everywhere as if there were 12 different earthquakes currently happening.

There's also a giant red bow (fabric) tied to her back waist as an accessory, and her feet stood on shiny red heels.

"Sure, we'll eat whatever the chef's pick," I replied to her from my seat.

"As you wish." She bowed a bit and walked away as her body moves like a tsunami. I'm now struck by two kinds of hunger, and the three of us left just staring at her until she's gone from the sight.

"Now that's a service!" Chiya said to us with a bright smile on her red face.

"Ehm! By the way, My Prince. For the Governor's mission, shouldn't we prepare a bit?" Anna threw her question while Chiya was busy admiring the waitress.

"Supposedly… yeah. Hmm… he said the scale will always be big with thousands involved from both sides." I rubbed my chin, thinking for an idea.

"Does our presence even matter? We're a group of six in the middle of a situation us Shaper would count as a full-fledged war." Anna was a bit aggressive with her tone.

"Probably not. We're not even ranked iron yet, we're just a newly bloomed apprentice. Though some of us came from the mainline." I answered her. "But I think this mission is more of an investment for the governor."

"Investment?" She curiously asked.

"That's right. He's educating us about the war this city is facing, with the hope of us being able to fully handle it in the future." I explained.

"A team from the Guild can easily clear a battle like this, right?" Chiya finally joined in, after feeling fulfillment in her eyes.

"Well yeah, but this city is mad big, and they just going to be even bigger with the Kaoma kept growing in number," I replied to the lady.

"So… is the governor wanted every side of the city protected by the Guild?" She once again asked.

"No, that'll just be too greedy of him. There are 7 other provinces that we need to guard, and he knew that our population isn't adding significantly as Kaoma does." The two of them could agree on that one.

"Back to the mission, brother. What's the plan?" Anna's retracted to her question.

"We stay on the wall unless the situation turned too grim to ignore," I suggested.

"Are we just gonna observe how the battle goes?" That sounded evil, Chiya, I'm not gonna lie.

"No. From my experience wall battle will mostly be held as a skirmish between the attacker and the defender. Either by siege weapon or ranged infantry." I said.

"But how this city's layout is totally different from Genka's cities. They don't have an inner wall for civilians to refuge and soldiers to man if the outer wall got breached." I went on.

"If our enemy manages to break into the city, then our mission will be held as failed. Sun's know how bloody it'll get."

"So in short, we'll be raining them with projectiles from above the wall and prevent them from even reaching the wall?" Chiya concluded.

"Correct." As I agreed, I saw the waitress walking in our direction. "Oh, the food's here. Scoff it, then we'll go scout the wall."

"Roger."

"Will do."
