Something Surprising

For a moment Alev ran and glanced at the tree monster which still seemed to be swaying trying to free itself from the roots that pierced him until finally, Alev could not see it anymore because the thick fog blocked his vision.

"He's not after us anymore? What exactly did you just do to him?" Tina said while glancing at him curiously.

"I just used a chance when he was pulling me and then stab him with his own root, I didn't expect that thing to harden like solid wood when it was cut off from it," Alev said while wincing in pain.

Looking worried, Tina stopped herself, "We have to do something with that sprained arm of yours." Tina said

What Tina said was true and made Alev see his own arm, Alev leaned back closer to the young-looking oak tree, and leaned back.

"Can you help me?" Alev said as he raised his hand.

"What do you want me to do?" Tina looked at Alev's hand which was pointed at her in surprise.

"Pull it with all your might!" Alev said with a serious face, asking Tina for it.

Tina scratched her head, feeling confused and unsure of Alev's request, which sounded so strange to her.

"Quick!" Alev shouted at her.

With a little hesitation, Tina dropped the stone in her hands and both hands tightly gripped Alev's arm which was being pointed at her, seeing Alev's serious face as he endured the pain made Tina feel that she had no choice and did as he said.

Tina inhaled slowly and with all her might she pulled Alev's arm so that his body tilted to the side, and on the other hand Alev also pulled his own hand when Tina started pulling his arm.

Crack!

The voice that came from Alev's arm made him close his eyes for a moment, along with the voice that appeared to feel the sensation of pain he felt was slowly disappearing.

Alev realized when he held the root to stab the tree monster making the joints in his arm feel shifted from the impact, that was the only way he could do first aid for his arm because he still needed it to survive.

Tina was speechless when she heard the voice, "oh my god, did I break your arm?" Tina said as she was surprised to see his face feeling the pain.

Slowly Alev opened his eyes watching Tina who was looking him worrying and to prove his arm wasn't broken Alev turned his arm slowly clockwise and felt his hand look better.

"That's fine, why do you look so surprised?" Alev said while frowning at Tina.

"How am I not surprised, you suddenly asked me to pull your hand with all your might, and then that 'crack' sound came out, obviously I was thinking if I was doing something bad with your arm," Tina said complaining about it while she imitates the sound by clapping her hand.

Alev just shook his head for a moment. Tina went back to blabbering like that to him, "Haven't you ever had a massage technique?" Alev said with a grim smile.

"Ha?" Tina said as she was approaching Alev and clutching his shirt, "How can there be such a thing like that as a massage! You almost made me think that I have injured yourself!" Tina repeatedly shook Alev's body while gripping his shirt.

"Please don't do that, do you really want to break my arm," Alev said while his body was rocked like dirty laundry.

Tina stopped herself from doing that and was silent for a moment. She released her grip on Alev's shirt with pursed lips and with that annoying face she moved away from Alev.

Then he took the stone back and thrust the stone towards Alev "You said you want to make Fire with this stone." Tina said while glancing at the stone in her hand.

"Tsk" Alev clicked his tongue while his brows furrowed even more.

Alev was silent for a moment, watching his left and right hands, and then he looked up to see Tina in front of him, who then tilted his head to look at her with that poker face.

"How can I make fire out of that rock if I can only use one hand?" Alev said with wide eyes, looking at her with that innocent face as he blinked repeatedly.

"Sigh" Tina sighed with a long sigh.

"So, how do I make a fire with this stone?" Tina said while tilting her head looking at the stone.

Dropping his jaw, Alev looked at Tina with a look of surprise for a moment that even made Alev gulp for hearing such a thing from a country girl who couldn't possibly know the simple trick of making fire like that.

"It's the same as a stone lighter, you just have to hit it so hard and bam, it gives off sparks. It is a common thing, why you don't know it? Are you a princess?" Alev said while chuckling when making fun of her.

Hearing that made Tina pout, "so that's the way it is, it sounds so easy." Tina said while glancing at Alev with confidence on her face.

After that, Tina gathered the leaves around her and hit a rock in her right hand firmly, "Like that?" Tina said while glancing at Alev with her smug face as she ducked down to do that.

Alev nodded his head, confirming what he was doing, only Tina didn't know that making a fire at night like this would be more difficult than making a fire during the day.

So Alev just laughed in amusement when he saw Tina hitting a stone in her right hand over and over again trying to bring out the embers for the dry leaf.

"Looks like it's a bit of fun pranking a little girl," The Death said while he was chuckling beside Alev.

When he heard the voice, Alev turned his head towards him and was surprised by the Death being suddenly next to him, while watching the two of them with his body looking tall like an adult.

"What?" The Death said while he glanced at Alev, "Are you surprised to see me?" The Death said while he gave a smirk mockingly at him.

Alev rolled his eyes as he looked away from him with a sigh that come out of his mouth, Alev felt that the Death came back here just would bother him again, and instead, he would feel happy when he found out that there was a tree monster had attacked the two of them.

"Why are you still here? I thought you had disappeared along with the wind?" Alev said while for a moment he was still watching Tina.

The Death was still smiling smugly while he was still watching Alev, and because of that, Alev didn't want to see the Death because it would only irritate him more.

"It's not my wish to search for you anymore, but I have to tell you this, you're not in the real world… to be more precise you're in the illusionary dimension of this forest." The Death said while giving a bitter smile, pitying him.

Alev turned to him with narrowed eyes as he raised his eyebrows, even though he wanted to say something, but it was stuck in his mouth.

Tina, who was still having trouble making fire with the stone, made her feel even more annoyed, hitting the rock in her hand so strongly with a rhythm that sounded increasingly messy.

"You're lying, it's impossible to make a fire no matter how hard I try," She said while looking at Alev with a frown in her head, "what are you doing?"

A moment of hearing that made Alev turn to Tina, "You can't see-" Alev paused for a moment while opening his eyes wide while seeing what was in front of him, "Watch out for that creature!"

Tina quickly looked back to see the tree monster moving quickly appearing from behind the fog, with the rock she was holding, Tina threw the stone at him like what she planned earlier and ran from that place.

"Ah," the Death exclaimed, "so you've met the creature, great!" The Death said while dropping his hands feeling weak, and then he ran after Alev who started to leave.
