Doubtful Thought

"Just stop it, if you really want to be thankful, just defeat those things by yourself!" "Bvan said while he held him in the head, stopping him from going closer and pointing his other hand into the monster.

Alev stood still as he rubbed his hair, "I'm not really sure whether I can do, any hint?" He doubted while he shrugged his shoulders.

"There is no hint, and there is no quickest way of learning magic than you already did right now!" Bvan sighed and shook his head, not getting any idea what he can do to him.

Even though there was a record of the prodigy of magic in this world, there was no record of what Bvan knew, how old are 'they' when they started to learn magic.

It was just his own assumption that they started to learn magic around 13 years old because it was the age of what people called in this world 'ripe' or near reaching adulthood. After all, their magic energy will get stable when they reach that age.

Although for the Alev case is slightly different because he learns magic because the help of Bvan who is his contracted spirit, and even though his mind was old enough the body, where the magic energy getting stored is not stable enough to control the flow of his magic, and that's why Alev getting a bit hard to control it.

But Alev still tried to do it once again using the same method as before, he holds the knife with both of his hands in front of his chest, he focused on feeling the flow of his own magic energy and transferred it into the knife until it reaches the tip of it, it magic energy, who looks like a fire slowly wriggle into the knife.

Bvan and Tina were curiously looking with eyes wide open when they saw the magic armor that was layering in Alev's body slowly moving to cover the knife with a magic layer too, but still, it was rather a slow movement as it looks like a snail climbed up into the tree.

Bvan turn his gaze toward the monster and carefully looked at the monster's movement, who still looking aware while curing its own body of the slash wound before, by stitching its own wound using its roots.

"Hemm, it's strange." Bvan hummed while rubbing his chin, thinking of something.

He seems to feel that something was not right when looking at the monster, he thinks the monster is more on guard than before, and a question pops up in his head, 'can it feel the presence of dense magic energy too? That's why it seems aware as it thinks if that dense magic comes from me?'

The strange behavior from the monster made Bvan more realize if that dense amount of magic energy he felt until now actually exists, and not just his imaginary thing, he looks at the surrounding area as he was a bit aware if there were some third party that might not be friendly with them.

Crisp - Crisp!

On the other hand, Alev already fully coated his knife, layering it with magic armor, but it was slightly different as it seemed like a blazing fire from the holder into the tip of the knife.

"Is it just I or the temperature is feeling kinda hot right now?" Tina asked in wonder while she swept a sweat on her head.

Bvan didn't feel any heat, but when he heard her speak, he rushed to wake Alev from his focus, "hey! Alev! That's enough, your magic is leaking out! You're going to melt her down if you keep going!" Bvan shouted while grabbing him by the shoulders.

The leakage from the magic energy that Alev did is the cause of the rising temperature, if he does, it properly there will no side effects like raising the temperature in his surrounding area like what Bvan did before, and that was the reason even if Bvan physically is a blazing fireball, it was not affect Tina to feeling a sweat when they were standing close each other.

"What? Did I do it wrong?" Alev asked, raising his eyebrow.

"I can't say if that was wrong, but I think that was enough magic energy you transfer into the knife, you can hold much of it because you have trouble with the magic leakage," Bvan responds with a doubtful face.

"So just that's it? Is it enough for me to defeat those things?" Alev said while carefully watching his knife.

"Yep, that was enough and slightly better than before, just keep your focus to control the magic, so the knife will still be blazing with fire." He crossed his arms and added, "What're you waiting for? Do you want me to defeat those things?" Bvan smirked.

Alev gives a chuckle when he heard Bvan respond in some manner like that, this time he does not feel annoyed when looked the smirk that comes out of him, but he feels strong-willed to show him if he can do the magic properly this time.

He steps close further toward the monster, he carefully watches it and the monster gives a hateful gaze while watching him back.

"Hmm, hey boy!" Bvan called him suddenly.

Alev didn't know where the monster's weakness is, but as long he saw, the monster didn't seem to protect anything in his body like the first attack when he thrust a hard root into the body or even when Bvan give a slash that slightly hit it too.

He just had an option in his mind if he wanted to defeat those things, just burn them to dust. Alev knew what exactly he needed this time, he readily prepared to defeat the monster and give stance as he wanted to swiftly attack the monster.

"Hey!" Bvan called him repeatedly, but Alev didn't hear.

The knife in his hand suddenly blazes with more fire and extends long enough as it looks like a one edge sword, his magic somewhat responding to what he actually needed to defeat it. He takes a step, willing to do a dash.

"Here we go-" Alev gave a sudden stop when he heard Bvan shout his name.

"Are you deaf? " Bvan shouted while he gives a frown to him.

"What? What was it? Am I doing something wrong again?" Alev asked with a strange gaze while looking back at him.

"No, it wasn't that, I just wanted to ask. Did you see something strange while using your magic eyes?" Bvan said while he gave a curious look on his face.

"No!" Alev shook his head, "why you ask?" Alev responded while he frowned as he was curious too when looking at him showing that face.

"Forget it, it was nothing, just defeat those things quickly!" Bvan said, while he turned his gaze away from him and looked around the woods.

Bvan just feels the magic energy is going denser as it gives a shudder for him while thinking bad feelings for something unknown still hiding in this illusionary forest.

Is it better? Am I improving?
