A Plan

Leaving me alone, I started to think about what she said.

"Am I really doing the right thing?" I mumbled to myself. "Parasites… Apocalypse… Demetria…" grumbling, I stared out of the window, I could see a bunch of walkers walking around aimlessly. With the sun setting, visuality was getting lower and lower as it suddenly occurred to me that we would be in further danger as our eye sights are getting interfered.

"Ken…" just as I wanted to call Ken and tell him to prepare defenses, I heard a loud scream downstairs.

"Inventory!" I yelled over the commotion as I rushed towards the staircase.

Looking for a weapon, I stopped in my tracks when it dawned to me that I was left empty-handed. "Crap!" I grumbled as the sounds of screaming got louder. "Ken! Report!"

Ken came running up the stairs and panted. "The walkers seemed to get agitated! One of them started banging the doors of the hall and a girl who wanted to go to the toilet happened to see the scene. Her screaming's are now luring more and more walkers here!"

"I totally forgot to make a new weapon! Get me a weapon or everybody is going to die here!"

Pointing downwards, Ken said softly.

"Demetria is already there solving the problem. Relax and trust the people around you sometimes."

I grabbed his shoulders. "The points Ken. The POINTS I can get from this attack, just think about it." I sighed and released him. "It's getting late. Tell the others to gather around and don't wander off. I would hate for those… people.. to lose their lives today."

Smiling, Ken bowed and left.

I wanted to sleep, but the idea that I was weaponless left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Sneaking down the staircase, Devora was still trying her best to comfort the panicked crowd. She had some progress when the walker attack reduced her efforts back to zero.

"Please, everyone. Listen to me! Demetria can handle this, this Is totally considered nothing! You must believe in Tang and his team. That's why you all are here now right? So why are you panicking and adding trouble to Tang and his team?" Devora protested.

I smiled as I forged forward, making sure nobody had their eyes on me.

I grabbed a makeshift bat that was left lying on the floor. waiting for points to be produced, it came as a disappointment when nothing happened.

"Name this… Bat A?" I tried naming it for points.

Naming a weapon belonging to others that are already named is not allowed.

Okay… I was hoping by the way.

Stepping out of the hall, the night's cold air seemed more chilling than usual. Deciding where to go next, a walker appeared beside me and rushed forward. From the corner of my eye, I glanced at the walker and realized that it was just a normal walker.

Swinging the bat, the walker's head flopped onto the ground.

"Upgrading to level two used me 100 points, upgrading to level three cost 150 points…" I muttered to myself, doing the math.

I needed to be at least LV 10 to access the shop. Starting to calculate, I shook my head and sighed. "Why am I doing math at a time like this…" I muttered to myself as I looked up at the sky.

The game of the gods… according to No. 11.

I gritted my teeth. "One day… I will topple the thrones of you so-called gods…" I swore silently. "I will inflict the pain I feel upon you when I have the power to do so."

A hundred pair of eyes laid their attention upon you.

First-day rewards arriving in 4 hours 52 minutes.

You are ranked No.1 for being the first player to reach level 3.

The gods have their attention on you now.

The first player to reach level 3. That was something more comforting. At least I now know that people who could become a potential threat to me were lesser than I thought. I grabbed the makeshift bat in my hands and stepped forward.

If the gods were putting their attention on me, then they may as well see how am I going to topple them off their thrones. Surging forward, I started batting the heads of the walkers off with ease.

So this was the power of a man with 15 points of strength. It felt so good that I almost felt like I could continue fighting all day.

Not forgetting my purpose coming out, I slowly battled my way toward the warehouse located east of the hall. Before the apocalypse, it was the place where we used to store equipment used by clubs. Most of all, the weapons from the wushu club took up most of the space. There were a bunch of plastic-made spears, swords, maces, and a bunch of other weapons. But what caught my attention were the weapons from the war club.

There was a bunch of steel weapons inside at the back of the warehouse, if I didn't get it wrong, the war club was created by a billionaire's son. He was so much into war that he sponsored real weapons from the old days to the school just so he can create a war club and have miniature battles once sometimes. Even though sometimes people tend to get hurt by these real weapons, the only thing he ever did was just throw a wad of cash as compensation and move on.

He was a son of a billionaire after all.

Nobody liked him much because of his proud attitude. But today I'm going to thank him silently for all the weapons he sponsored.
