A Fine Weapon

Opening a way to the warehouse, I hardly even broke a sweat even after all those fights.

A walker roared as it rushed forward after I opened the warehouse door. I sidestepped and batted the walker in the head. Breaking it into pieces.

Makeshift bat condition: 60%

I cursed silently. This bat was just too fragile.

Closing the door to make sure to walker would suddenly attack me, I turned around and stared at the pile of goods.

I picked up a plastic spear. Although it was just made out of plastic, the tip of the spear was still sharp enough to pierce through skin. Though whether will the tip break after doing so was still a mystery.

Stuffing the plastic spear into my inventory, I rummaged further through the pile of goods. I collected almost every weapon I saw and threw them inside my inventory. I was so excited I nearly didn't notice the rapid increment of points.

Grinning at my discovery, I threw aside a few weapons deemed rubbish. Suddenly, something caught my attention in the corner of my eye. Picking it up, it was a guandao about 2 meters long. Picking it up, I strained at the weight of the guandao.

Guandao. (Reclining Moon Blade) A weapon created during the Song to Qing dynasty.

Length: 2.1 Meters Weight: 48.28 KG

WARNING: Inappropriate Strength! Minimum Strength Needed, 30

I nearly threw the weapon away in frustration. 30 points in strength?! That must be kidding me. But looking at my hands straining to support the guandao, I sighed. Holding the guandao was difficult enough for me, much less swinging it.

Stuffing the guandao in my inventory for future uses, I continued rummaging through the pile of stuff.

Epic Weapon Stored.

Raising my head and looking at the notification, I was stunned. It never occurred to me that I would be able to earn 50 points just by searching for a weapon.

"Screen"

Name: Tang Jun Wen

Age: 18

Race: Human

Condition: Healthy

LV: 3 (Upgradable)

Abilities: Death's Grasp

Points: 290

Mana: 100

Health: 100

290 points but still not enough to upgrade myself to level 4.

I needed to be sure how the weapons were considered epic so I called out my pixie.

"How are the weapons categorized?" I asked as my spirit wife appeared. "How many tiers are there for the weapons?"

She chuckled and leaned so close to me that our faces nearly touched.

"Well, vir meus. Have you made up a name for me? It wouldn't be polite to ask someone for help when you didn't even prepare a name for that someone."

I rolled my eyes.

"Would you like the name Alcmene?" I asked after a brief thought. The name suddenly appeared in my mind as I recalled the Greek mythologies.

She gasped as I asked. "This is… a good name." then she bowed. "May Alcmene be my name from now on."

"Now answer my questions Alcmene. How are the weapons categorized? How many tiers are there for the weapons?"

Alcmene spread her arms and a wide screen appeared. There were pictures of all kinds of weapons, but almost all of them were darkened and labeled with a question mark. Scrolling through the screen, Alcmene stopped scrolling and spoke when she finished scrolling.

"Listen carefully. There are a total of four tiers in the weapon category. Common, rare, epic, and legendary. Until now, you have unlocked a total of 5 kinds of common weapons and one epic weapon."

Nodding my head, I kept quiet as Alcmene continued. "The weapons are categorized by who made them. Up to now, there are no legendary weapons as….." Suddenly, Alceme's voice seemed to be filtered. I couldn't hear a thing until she changed a subject. "… That's all I know at this time."

Shaking my head, I sighed. "I couldn't hear what you were saying when you went into the legendary category."

Alcmene pouted.

"I'm sorry about that but it seems that your level is not enough to learn about this."

Nodding my head, I accepted the explanation.

"vir meus," Alceme whispered in my ears. "There's another epic weapon here. Continue digging."

My ears stood up when I heard this. Not caring about the other weapons, I started digging through the pile of stuff until Alcmene yelped in excitement.

I picked up a hook sword and examined it carefully.

Hook sword. A sword with a sharply curved hook tip, a crescent moon-bladed hand guard, and a spear tip pommel.

Length: 98 CM Weight: 12.5 KG

Holding it carefully in my hands, I felt disappointed when I realized that the hook sword just couldn't fit in my hands.

Epic weapon stored.

"Is there anything else that fits me?" I turned towards Alcmene and asked as I stuffed the hook sword into my inventory.

She nodded her head and pointed at another pile of weapons.

Rummaging, I rested my hands upon a plastic swordstaff about 2 meters high. Holding it up easily, I inspected it and tried swinging it. To my surprise, the swordstaff was just heavy enough in my hands to deal lethal damage even though it was made out of plastic.

"Damn… Leonard really doesn't care about the consequences if people get hit by these weapons…" I muttered. "Name this swordstaff…. Reality."

"You really have a knack for naming things, vir meus." Alcmene smiled as she stood beside me. "I suppose you would love to spend the whole day here finding your perfect weapon but I hate to bring it to you that it's already 8 in the night. You would need to rest up if you are to do whatever you want to do tomorrow."

Without Alcmene notifying me about this issue, I never realized that I actually spent so much time searching for weapons.

"Can you help me check the perimeter? It's getting dark, I wouldn't want to end up back in the hall covered in blood."

Studying me, Alcmene nodded her head and passed through the door. In a few seconds, she appeared again and reported. "The perimeter is clear, the walkers you've slain before have disappeared for some unknown reason. I suggest you rush back now while the other walkers are away."

Nodding my head, I opened the storeroom door and rushed towards the hall. I was so keen on rushing back that I didn't even bother killing a walker that was following me.
