Yang Strikes Again

Call her behavior unreasonable, sassy, or overreacting. Nobody knew.

Weiss then proceeded to turn away from Jin in a huff. The man himself just had a helpless smile while the bickering female trio made their way to their seats.

"Hi Jin!" Ruby greeted.

"Why, hello there." Jin said with a greeting hand gesture.

"Well, your here early." Blake remarked.

Jin smiled, "I woke up earlier than the usual."

Hearing this, Yang stared at her brother with a scrutinizing gaze before taking a sip of her coffee and letting out a "Hmmmmm".

"It just happens sometimes, eh. You would occassionaly wake up so early in the morning, its been like that for a long time now." Yang said before slamming her hands down at his desk with a loud thud, which made Jin slightly startled.

"At home, you would do some weird things when you wake up early. Sometimes you would go out of the house and Dad would always have trouble on finding you in Patch again and again. But now that we're in this Academy, what would you do when that stuff happens?"

Jin's left eye twitched, "What do you mean 'weird things'?! I just do some exercises and some training in my free time! And I would still do it right now in this school!"

"Then why would you go out of the house sometimes, eh? No matter how Dad locks the doors and windows, you would always somehow magically get out." Yang interrogated Jin.

She was having these weird suspicions until now, like he was meeting with some girl in Signal or even causing some trouble somewhere on the island or even doing some dangerous things as he was sometimes found in the mountains.

This was the time where she can finally ask this sneaky brother of hers on his actions. Everytime her old man would ask Jin about his actions, he would just say that 'I got lost in the path of life' or 'I was just horsing around and having fun'.

"Fine, I would roam around the island and hunt some Grimms down and test my might. There, you happy?" Jin said.

He can safely admit it now, because it was now done in the past. He wouldn't obviously say it to his old man in that time, or else he might really be locked up or be grounded constantly.

The siblings know how overprotective Taiyang is to them.

Even if he did tell Yang and Ruby in that time, the two would immediately tell their dad on what Jin was doing for safety's sake. All the more reason why he didn't tell them in that time.

"Welp, what's done is done, no use of telling Pops." Yang said as she drank her coffee.

Jin gazed at Yang weirdly, and then he looked at what she was holding in her hand, "Uh, By the way Yang, why do you have a coffee?"

Yang glanced at her brother while taking a drink before saying, "Hm? What's wrong with that?"

"We're in the classroom. No food and drinks remember."

Yang made a hand gesture of assurance, "Bah, don't worry. I'll just hide it when class starts."

"Uh-huh...."

Meanwhile, the other girls were now already seated on the front row of the class, where their team would usually sit together.

Ruby then took out some books from her bag to prepare for her strategy. Yang and Jin saw what she was doing, but they didn't really mind it.

'Well, this is Professor Port's class after all. She's not the only one doing it.' Was the thought of the two siblings.

They could even see the other students preparing their own books from the corner of their eyes. It was like they treated this time of the day to extend their sleep or gaming time on their scrolls.

A few seconds later, Jin heard some loud footsteps on the hallway again. Yang and the other students present also heard it, and they all turned to the classroom door.

In the next moment, two male and two female students barged in on the door way and they hurriedly entered the Lecture Hall.

"Oh look guys, Its Nora and the others." Ruby pointed out at the quartet that was catching their breaths.

"Just....in time..." Jaune said as he panted.

Ren just immediately went to his seat, "One minute left till class...."

"Thankfully we're not yet late." Pyrrha said.

Hearing this, Yang's eyes gleamed in red light at an inspiration. Jin saw it, and he knew what was coming.

Never missing the opportunity for a joke, she then held her own coffee mug in hand and declared.

"Its good that you guys managed to arrive just on time, you wouldn't wanna be LATTE for the class."

..

..

Silence.....

..

..

Nora then took it upon herself to break the silence, "Ey....."

Ruby then let out a loud groan at the awful pun and the rest of the class cringed and began having some chest pains.

"That's not funny, Yang." Ruby scowled at her elder sister.

"Latte...?" A random student asked.

Almost all of the students in the room heard that guy, and they all turned to him for his stupidity. While Yang just widened her eyes in disbelief.

Usually, everyone would get the joke and they would only either not laugh at all or just cringe. But this was the first time that someone actually didn't get it and she has to explain what the joke was.

A first victim of her Whoosh.

Another student, who seems to be the friend of the asking student, answered for him, "Cause you know.....Latte sounds like late. And they were going to be late."

All of the students in the room could practically see the cogs shifting in the student's head. But then that guy finally put the two together and something astonishing happened.

Suddenly, that guy's shoulders started shaking and he was now holding his stomach as his eyes were screwed shut.

Ruby and Jin then looked at the guy as if he had brain damage.

That guy was actually holding his laughter.

"Latte.....late.....sounds like....late.....pfffttttt..."

What happened next, was the student leting out a loud booming laugh, causing his friend besides him, other students, and even Yang to jump back in alarm.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAH!"

Receiving that kind of response, Yang's face brightened up, as if she just achieved her life long goal. Whilst Ruby just went a ghastly pale.

'Oh no.....At this point, Yang will be encouraged to make more bad jokes again!' Ruby thought with terror on her face, while Jin looked at that student with a deadpan face.

He then turned to Ren, "Dude, give me the name of that student. He needs to go to rehab."

Thankfully not long after that, a person that has a fairly rotund belly and a nice piece of mustache, walked in and the incessant noise in the room somewhat died down.

"Settle down students, settle down." Port spoke in a jovial tone as the noises completely died down and everyone going back to their seats.

"Now I'm sure all of you are eager to begin today's exciting lesson in to the nature of the fiendish Grimm. So please sit properly, so we can begin the lesson."

Muffled groaning of people can be heard coming from the back rows, indicating that most of the students were not exactly as 'eager' as Professor Poop hoped.

"Today we shall be covering a King Taijitu's habitats and nesting behaviours, which interestingly enough, relates back to a story from my youth..."

The class collectively sighed as they braced themselves for another of Port's long winded stories that were still debated as to whether or not they were even true, as the tales itself was so rampantly expressive and massively exaggerated.

Port was consistently over the top with his boisterous tales of bravado that always took up more of the lesson than what was probably acceptable.

The students then now started playing on their scrolls, as well as Jin.

But Weiss appeared to be writing down notes whenever the man stopped to take a breather or whenever he said anything of actual relevance to the subject matter they were supposed to be learning.

'Very glad to be a student again....'

Eventually, Port finished his story, but that didn't stop him from talking as he continued to actually teach the class about the natures of Grimm.

There! Two Chaps today!

Now feed me power stones! I need the power! I need energy to continue writing!

And please give me ideas for more Yang Jokes
