The window was a lot more different than I remembered, but that's to the fact that we where on a different plane than I normally take with my family, it was rather more expressive and friendlier than this one. My eyes shine looking at the sun above the clouds, "isn't that pretty?" April says sitting next to me, I slowly turn my head and nod with no verbal response. April is a class mate of mine who I gained an interest to considering her mutuality towards everyone, she can dislike your actions yet treat you the same as everyone else.
Nick was laughing in the seat behind us with his friends and i couldn't help but to watch what ridiculous activities they where doing, sadly the air hostess walked up to us covering the boys asking us what we wanted. It wasn't long till we arrived at our destination, Yakutsk. The teachers lined us up and me and April stayed together as we where close friends. "Where do you think we are staying? In a big place!? Oha what if it's luxurious?", April couldn't stop jumping with excitement and a big smile. I was going to respond until I bumped into a tall figure, a figure that I didn't want to look up at but i did. "River, why so dull put a smile on that face", I nod looking up at Nick, I didn't smile even when we arrived at the hotel. His words mean nothing to me, all I know about Nick is that he is in my economics classes and is from this town in Russia. Both his large rich family own this hotel that we're staying in, kind enough to fund this field trip. I look at Nick sideways and he realises looking at me, we make eye contact and he walks in flicking his hair back.
We enter the Ethno Hotel Orto Doydu, and the teachers assigned us our rooms. Me and April shared a room, nothing to my surprise she was very happy about the quality of the place. Before I new it everyone went to sleep and I put my scarf on walking in the halls with a candle light, it was cold, the dry cold which wasn't too bad. Stopping my walk I exhale cold air and look at the same tall figure, "River...", Nick walks close to me from the shadow and my eyes widen slightly. "You're so quiet... yet you stare at me? Why is that? You do know staring is rude right", I didn't want to respond yet I had an urge to tell him my true feelings, how I dislike his inability to be different from everyone else. "You really don't speak", he touches my angel necklace whilst looking directly down at my eyes. He pulls on it slightly pulling me closer to him, I could feel his warmth and my candle was far from his reach. "One day... I'll make you mine River".
The following morning was not the worst, we ate a warm breakfast and started looking at landmarks together. April and I enjoyed ourselves buying souvenirs near Lena River which is one of the longest rivers in the world, some of our acquainted class mates took pictures together with me and April. I didn't smile a slight bit. It was if it's not allowed in my book of life rules. It was a fun afternoon, April and I ended up getting our hands on hats and gloves to protect us from the snow. The snow would gently place itself in my eyelashes, it amused me.
Nick surprisingly didn't speak to me this time. We went back to the hotel and I unpacked with April and Mia, nothing had seemed abnormal until I saw a little drop of blood in the sink of our bathroom. We're girls so I didn't question it too much, Mia had tampons in her bag so my natural thought is that something could have happened. Deciding to walk around again after I left the room from unpacking. Too admit this place is beautiful is difficult for me, but I do like looking around to see the richness and tidiness. I see Elijah and walk to him he seemed uneasy. Elijah is another classmate of mine who I've spoken with before and he is extremely shy yet very kind. "River... thank god you're here something happened, I don't know where Miss Wood went. Can you help me look for her?". Ultimately I agreed but part of me had a bad feeling about what was happening, my head started overthinking about the blood in the sink.
I walked into the garden of the hotel looking at the lovely water fountains and checking the coins if any of them are fresh considering Miss Wood loves to make wishes in fountains, I couldn't quite understand what makes someone enjoy it. My face goes closer to the water and I look closely at a coin that was glycining brightly, my eyes blinked slowly and I put my hand in the freezing water and to my surprise my entire head gets pushed in too completely splashing water everywhere. My body struggles a lot enable to breathe someone was gripping the back of my neck really tightly and I get pulled back from the water my hair and face dripping gasping for breathe. I turn and pass out immediately from something hitting me hard in the head.
My eyes slowly open after what felt like a faint, I hear slight humming from above me my hears where cold. I was hanging upside down on someone's back getting dragged by my one ankle. This position was so painful but I managed to deal with it.
