The Slumber Spell I
Nia's POV
My heart raced with excitement as i approached Juan's room, the aroma of freshly made tamales filling the hallway. I couldn't wait to share the news with him, her steps light with anticipation. As I reached the door, a smile tugged at my lips, eager to see Juan's reaction to my surprise.
Opening the door, i was met with a sight that froze me in my tracks. Juan lay peacefully on the bed, bathed in sunlight streaming through the window. His chest rose and fell rhythmically with each breath, his features relaxed in sleep.
My smile faded slightly as i realized he was still asleep. Determined to wake him, i approached the window and threw open the curtains, flooding the room with bright sunlight. With the room now bathed in light, I leaned over Juan, planting a gentle kiss on his lips, hoping to rouse him from his slumber. But he remained still, lost in the depths of sleep.
