The Veiled Woman

The Bright light which had attracted multiple entities throughout the city was currently filling up with 'people' some with different colored hair or something that didn't look like it belonged to the human race.

The bright blood red hue was on top of a building nearby the park.

The light had shown over the top of a bright red circle around 15 meters in diameter some people filled the circle and some surrounded it however no one had made a move yet.

The place was currently dead quiet besides the sound of some people shaking in their boots or someone sidestepping away from others it was desolate when it came to sound.

Although it was quiet everyone was skeptical of their neighbors so, many were looking all over completely overwhelmed by the amount of people making their eyes dart back and forth.

Although everyone wanted the point there was no point if they died before getting that sweet succulent exp so most were slowly trying to back away or out of the circle.

However before anyone could leave someone came bursting into the circle screaming "THE XP IS MINE!!" but before he could do anything he was blasted off of the building with a spike made from the roof they were standing on.

The building they were all on was 2 stories the same as the other buildings next to it so it was easily accessible since it was a business district and was surrounded by other buildings similar to it.

The two actions which had caught everyone's attention sparked an all out war that seemed to be every man or woman for themselves.

Back to the park that was adjacent to the building that held the battle royal Leo sat beside a hunk of meat that had just rolled over to reveal the burly boy Leo had just met.

He was a giant made of muscles that wore a leotard and had only one strand of blonde hair combed to the right side of his head.

Leo had many times tried to wake up the stupid mass of muscle that was laying before him but it had always ended in his defeat.

Now though the amalgamation of meat and muscle was starting to move. Which had resulted in it screaming "Pancakes" as it flew on to its feet.

He was facing away from Leo and as he turned around he saw the shining red light which had immediately caught his attention.

His first instinct was to dash toward the shining blood red light but something stopped him.

Currently the place was being barraged by explosions and spikes coming out from the top of the roof.

He realized whatever or whoever was over on the building he couldn't contend with and just fell back onto his butt.

Leo finally spoke to him after the guy realized it was hopeless "You made a good choice to stay back"

Leo's words only startled the man because he hadn't noticed Leo the entire time "FUCK!! Where the hell did you come from1?!"

This immediately made Leo mad "I was here since you crushed me with your ridiculous amount of muscles"

Stunned by his response he only responded with "Jason but my friends call me waffles"

In turn Leo was stunned not by his response but by his nickname 'Waffles' how is he supposed to respond to that

But like any normal person would do he chuckled a bit and said "Nice to meet you Waffles"

Two screens Had popped up in front of Leo and Had now made Leo think about the possibilities of the system and why this achievement which was clearly easy rated as 'Rare'?

"YEEESSS!!! I LEVELED UP!!" A scream coming from Waffles startled Leo out of the Achievement screen

A different scenario however was playing out at The King of The Kill quest point

The area of the rooftop was littered with bodies, many burnt or impaled half of which were by spikes that were made out of the rooftop itself.

One of those individuals was still alive however was on the brink of death, he was dripping red liquid that looked like blood however was the mana that powered their ethereal bodies.

Suddenly all of the spikes that had protruded out of the roof were suddenly forced back into their original position leaving the bodies that were impaled on them lying on the floor with holes in their chests.

The one that was still alive had a buzzcut and was clad in green army camo. He was barely breathing and was trying to suck back in the mana his body was losing when a woman stepped on his face.

She leaned down and whispered "You are too green to have accepted the King of the Kill quest, it's too difficult for a newcomer like you" as she stepped off of his face two spikes went through his eyes from the back of his head.

She walked away from the poor sap and sat on top of a rockslab she made and watched as red and blue particles floated up from the corpses lying on the roof indicating they were dissipating.

The clothes she was wearing were rather fitting for the scene in front of her.

She wore a long black fitted dress along with black high heels, a black veil covering her rather young face and a wooden cross hanging around her neck.

As she watched the corpses slowly disappear a smile cracked along her face revealing pearly white teeth and a smile her victims would never forget.
