Ghost God System (Dropped)

*This novel has been dropped Zeph has been a worker at a haunted house for 8 years now. One day, Zeph was hiding in his usual hiding spot where he would jump out and spook people. As he heard steps coming towards him, he got ready to jump out with his scary clown mask and fake chainsaw, but something made him hesitate. The appearance of the approaching group was really sketchy. With scars and tattoos covering every inch of their body, they were obviously not normal people. 'Well, what's the worst that can happen?' Nevertheless, he decided to jump out and scare the gangsters, but this was a decision he would come to regret. After he jumped out of his corner, a tragic incident followed and Zeph found himself in an unknown field surrounded by a lush forest. He was missing his physical body, but could still see, smell and hear. He thought that this was the afterlife and he could finally rest for all eternity, until something rudely interrupted him. [Ghost God System Installation 100%] 'W-what? Ghost God?' [The host can grow stronger by making other organisms feel fear] This is where the story of Zeph, the new God of Ghosts, begins. ------------------------------------------- Author Note: This is my first time writing a novel, so don't expect a masterpiece.. Ghost God System is meant to be practice for me to improve my writing skills, so constructive criticism is heavily appreciated. Chapter Length: ∼1500 Words Update Schedule: Don't expect consistent updates. Like I said, this book is just practice for me to improve my writing skills and could be dropped at any moment. Regardless of all that. My Goblin Follower

[Stealing [A+] Camouflage from {Moon Chameleon}..]

[Task Completed. The skill will be available to the host once the possession period ends]

[The possession period has ended. Returning the host to his original body]

'Phew! It seems that luck was on my side this time.'

I was very relieved that I didn't get an arrow shot at my face during this possession.

After gaining the new skill, I decided to test it out right away.

I tried camouflaging using all kinds of textures in my Gel Body, from sand to magma. It truly seemed like this skill was all powerful, in regards to what textures it could disguise as.

I was extremely happy with my new ability and started my journey to find some living beings again.

Luckily, with my Ghost Aura turned off, it was easier than I thought.

After floating for a few minutes, I came across my next target,

A short humanoid creature with green skin, pointed ears and sharp teeth.

'Inspect'

=== {INSPECT} ===

Type: Goblin

Health: 150/150

Mana: 0/0

Tier: Silver (3)

=== {INSPECT} ===

'It seems relatively weak, I guess I can use this little guy as my first test subject.'

After making sure that the creature in front of me had no skills that could put me in a large amount of danger, I decided to use my new skill.

'System, Activate my Gel Body.'

Firstly, I activated my Gel Body skill and morphed into some sort of giant four-legged creature.

'Now activate my Camouflage skill.'

After activating my Camouflage skill, I thought about a texture in my head and seconds later the color of my Gel Body started to change.

My body went from its original light blue color to bright red and then settled on reddish-orange.

Over that reddish-orange base, black stripes started to form and at this point most onlookers would already realize what the creature was.

A tiger, but not just any regular tiger.

This tiger would easily tower over any tiger from earth, standing much taller and having a much more muscular and broader body.

Coming from its mouth were a pair of colossal fangs that seemed to be able to bite through everything and anything.

'I hope something like this would be enough to scare this green alien looking guy.'

I decided to disguise myself as something from Earth this time, just to switch things up.

I was standing behind the Goblin inside a bush that did a horrible job of hiding my massive body, but luckily it seemed like the green guy hadn't noticed me yet.

I was still thinking about the route I should take to ensure my complete safety.

Even though the Goblin was relatively weak, with no skills and mana, I still had to remember that I was technically even weaker.

My Gel Body was incredibly soft and could not do fatal damage and my Camouflage skill was only cosmetic, which meant that I was stuck with this squishy body for now.

After a little bit of thinking, I just decided to go for it.

I jumped out behind the bush and leaped over the Goblin, landing in front of him.

''Krieek!''

A high pitched noise escaped the Goblins mouth, most likely due to shock.

I opened my mouth, revealing the terrifying fangs hidden inside and started slowly walking towards it.

The Goblin didn't make a single move

'Sweet! It looks like I underestimated the terrifying appearance of a tiger. Now what I have to do is…'

///

A Giant Tiger was currently walking towards a small green Goblin, who was frozen in fear.

Anyone looking at this sight would think that the Tiger was gonna lunge towards the poor small Goblin any moment now and completely devour him.

And this is exactly what happened… Excluding the devouring part.

The Giant Tiger used his muscular back legs and closed the gap between the Goblin in a split second, but instead of the Goblin becoming his breakfast, something unexpected happened.

Just as the Tiger's fangs were about to rip open the face of the green creature, he disappeared into thin air, only leaving behind a shocked goblin who was still stuck in one spot.

After a few minutes of silence, the goblin finally opened his mouth.

''What the fu-''

The Goblin somehow managed to get away with his life, but instead of happiness the emotions he felt were confusion and a bit of fear.

''I knew that I shouldn't have smoked that Glitterleaf joint that Wobblebottom gave me…''

Said the goblin with an angry look on his face.

After finally being able to move again, the Goblin started to walk again.

///

'Ahh!! Seriously, how far away is the place he is going? I've been following him for hours..'

I complained while looking at the Goblin walking in front of me.

'But to think he had the ability to speak, that means he was more intelligent than I first thought.'

While I was reassessing the strength of the small Goblin, he suddenly stopped.

''Ahh, sweet home!''

He said in a warm voice, which sounded like the total opposite of his looks.

The goblin started walking again and after a few steps, I finally understood what he meant.

A few hundred meters in front of me was a clearing filled with strange looking buildings.

After following the Goblin inside this mysterious place, I understood what it was.

A Goblin VIllage.

Inside, were a countless number of goblins, a lot of them holding onto some type of weapon.

'Wow, this is unbelievable, to think monsters could actually accomplish something like this.'

I was completely stunned at this, since the only beings back on Earth that were able to do something like this were humans.

But my astonishment was quickly overcome with excitement, as a small grin appeared on my transparent face.

'Intelligent ones are always more fun to scare than simple animals.'

After witnessing the amount of Goblins in this village, I started formulating plans to terrorize them.

Firstly, the thought of using the GIant Tiger's body again came to mind, but I quickly threw that to the side, due to the Goblin's having weapons that could pierce my body.

Then I thought about using my stone bombing skills to demolish their entire village. But this was impossible due to the sheer size of this place.

'Hmm… Should I try imitating some god again?'

A thought that was actually relatively reasonable came to my mind.

But, I knew that I couldn't just appear in the middle of the village and claim that I was a god, they would just stab me with their spears.

I needed to somehow gain their trust first.

But after thinking for a while, nothing really came to mind.

'Arghh! This is so annoying, how am I supposed to know what these Goblins want? Should I just try the stone bombing idea?'

After thinking about it even harder, I finally got an actual idea.

'Gosh, why am I so dumb.. I don't need to gain the trust of the entire village population, just 1 Goblin would be enough.'

I needed to find my own apostle, who would spread my ''teachings''.

And hopefully after a while, I would gain a loyal set of followers from this, that could scare other Goblins in this village for me.

'Hmm.. So who should be my first apostle?'

Luckily, I already had a perfect candidate in mind, the first Goblin I've ever encountered.

Even when I was deep in my thoughts, I was still keeping an eye on him just in case.

'It's decided, he is gonna be my first messenger.'

{Goblin POV}

''Phew! It's great to be back home, especially after that strange experience.''

I still couldn't believe what happened to me in the forest and was still hesitant if it really was a hallucination.

''Gosh, I really need to take it easier on the Glitterleaf… starting tomorrow.''

I rolled a joint and started smoking it, which instantly calmed me down.

''Oof, that's the good stuff!''

As I was relaxing on my bed, I thought I saw something from the corner of my eye.

'?'

'I thought I saw something.'

As I readjusted my vision I couldn't see anything out of the ordinary.

'Whatever..'

Just as I was about to go back to relaxing, I saw something move again.

This time though, after turning my head again, I was shocked.

One of my walls was covered in some strange red liquid.

''I-Isn't that human blood?''

I said while looking at the ominous texture on my wall.

Upon closer inspection, I could tell that there was something written on it.

{Small one, I have chosen you to be my next successor}

''W-what?''

{I have chosen you to be the next Goblin God}

'What the hell is a Goblin God?'

I thought while looking at the text appearing in front of me.

{Fear not, even though the journey there is gonna be difficult, you have the power to change this world}

''M-me?''

I was getting more and more confused, but for some reason I felt something divine from that pile of blood on my wall.

{Do you have the resolve to become the savior of the Goblin Race, the Legendary Goblin Hero?}

''Y-YES!''

I don't know why I was so easily convinced, was it the heavenly power I felt from that text or maybe it was just the fat Glitterleaf joint I still had in my mouth.

But that didn't matter.

Even when I was still confused, I had to take this chance.

I felt a destiny in front of me. Destiny to become the Greatest Goblin Of All Time, the G.G.O.A.T.

''Oh, Great Goblin God. What is the first command you give this lowly goblin?''

I was extremely excited about what it would tell me to do.

'I just hope that someone is not playing a prank on me..'

After a few moments, the blood started moving again and formed a single sentence.

{You have to gather as many followers as possible and scare the crap out of anyone you can}

'...'

''What?''
