Lucas didn't say anything. Only a soft hum flowed out between his lips. His eyes remained on Liliana as he silently took in the little expression she tried not to show.
Even now, Lucas the faint traces of what he had seen on himself. Neither of them had yet to be able to put their past heartbreak behind them.
But, he also saw a tiny flame of hope, flickering as it was swayed by the gentle breeze. It was small yet, not easily distinguishable.
Not only he but, she also would be able to move forward without ever looking back someday.
Giving Liliana a smile, Lucas said, his soft tone was imbued with sincerity, "If you ever meet someone in the future, I hope he's the irreplaceable one to you. As how you're to him."
