Nobody Says No To Damon

Waking up every day was a lot of work for Damon because he had nothing to look forward to. The cracking of dawn brought him closer to his death date.

Each day was just the same; wake up, wash up, eat, go to school, have some fun, come back home, eat, and go back to bed; nothing changes.

Yet, something has changed somehow in his life: Damon looked forward to teasing Red.

Funny but recently, she became the reason he goes to school steadily unlike the uncountable times he skips that aggravating human learning institution designed to torture young minds aka school.

Just like a kid who found a profound love for a new toy, Damon was so taken with Red, that one could mistake it for an obsession.

Preparing for school that day, he chose a black leather jacket he never wore because it belonged to his late brother Mark.

Unconsciously, he dipped his hand into its side pocket and felt something hard and cold against his skin. Puzzled, however curious, Damon pulled out a handcuff to his amazement.

Suddenly, his face fell, having remembered that he and Mark used to play detective when he was still alive. But now, Mark is gone, what was he going to do with this?

He contemplated leaving the item at home when an idea popped up in his head and his eyes brightened with anticipation as he left for school.

At school, his eyes darted around the hallway, searching for Red meticulously. When he found her with Luke, anger boiled through him for unknown reasons. He just didn't like seeing her with that guy - no guy at all but him.

Damon showed no interest in whatever they were discussing and until the male whore left, did he approach her. The clumsy girl was distracted as usual and bumped right into his chest as deduced.

And of course, he began to bother her, having known that yesterday incident's still annoyed her. He was having the time of his life until she said

"Then you should know that I live to hate you, Damon!"

Damon was short of words, this was the first time someone was declaring her sincere dislike for him.

Yes, the thought of Red disliking him saddened him - like who in the world doesn't like him? but Damon was elevated at the same time, the girl was immune to his charms.

This meant that he could have all the fun he wanted with her without fear of getting trapped in a relationship or getting repulsed by her lovey-dovey stares.

"Guess you have no choice then" he immediately cuffed her to his wrist leaving her bewildered.

He was amused watching her try to shake the cuff off her wrist all to no avail. Was she stupid or what? Does she think that shaking her wrist would set her free?

And of course, the obtrusive Damon ignored her demands for the keys and her shallow threats. Not to mention, her crazed look when he swallowed the keys. If eyes were bullets, he'd be long dead.

For a few minutes, Nessa stood in shocked silence until she was finally shouting and raving at Damon with all her might.

That was more like her, Damon thought.

"You must have finally gone crazy!" Nessa gritted her teeth, stomping and punching the air out of vexation while the audience -Damon excluded- gave her questioning looks.

He bet she wanted to punch him so badly that she took out her frustration on the innocent air - which she can't punch anyway- she was just stressing herself. Why was she afraid to throw a punch or two at him? He wouldn't hurt her anyway.

"What are you doing, Red?" Damon was interested in her little drama.

It was so obvious that she imagined the air to be him and God knows if that air was him, his face would be a bloody mess by now. Did she hate him that much?

Well, who cares? Damon reasoned. The girl should've known she's in for a shock when she rejected him; nobody says no to Damon.

"Are you blind? Can't you see what I'm doing" She glared at him, which Damon was now used to.

"Beating the living hell out of an imaginary me?" He asked the obvious.

"Bingo" She acquiesced, not even sparing Damon a glance and that interested him further.

He grabbed her arm which she eyed at once

"What do you think you're doing?" She asked suspiciously.

"Let's go have some fun," He said, dragging her away amid her protest and squealing from the female audience swooning over their drama.

"Are you crazy? You're cutting class? What if - "

"Don't worry about anyone finding out, I technically run the school" Damon boasted which irked her further. Just because his parents were major contributors to the school doesn't mean he should leave school grounds during the lesson period.

But she couldn't complain since she was dragged into his car and true to his words, no one stopped them. What kind of school was this?

"I hate you" Nessa muttered as soon as Damon drove away.

He smirked and faced her saying, "That's good because hate is a very strong emotion which has the liability of changing to love given a space of time"

She scoffed, looking at anything but him.

Damon smiled, he was right, this girl was his therapy.

"I'm dead meat if my mom finds out I skipped school" Nessa freaked out causing the narcissistic jerk to shake his head pathetically. If only the girl knew how much influence he had over the school.

After minutes of driving, both arrived at the destination. Damon packed his car in the parking space before stepping out with her.

Nessa dropped her heated gaze on Damon after taking in the surroundings "What are we doing in here? "

"Shopping, of course. What else? "

"Thanks for your concern but I don't need a change of wardrobe" she rejected as usual as Damon anticipated.

To be honest, that comment got him, but Damon was well prepared and lied his way out "Who said I was shopping for you? You're just the mannequin that would model the clothes I buy"

A smile crept to his face when he saw her cheeks flush with embarrassment. She looked so adorably cute. Apparently, Red had misunderstood the whole situation - if only she wasn't faster than her shadow, she would have discovered his white lie.

Walking into the large shopping mall, Damon led her into the area for female clothes, and there, searched for clothes her size.

Nessa watched him with irritation as he continuously scanned through the rack for God knows what and it annoyed her because he dragged her along with him. It seems it wasn't his first time here since the store department sales clerk didn't bother him. She bet he was buying clothes for his girlfriend - how worse could get day get?

"This is stupid" Nessa blurted.

"What is stupid?" He questioned.

"It's nothing," She replied with a huge scowl on her face.

Damon stopped shopping and turned to her. He lifted her chin with his hand tenderly, bringing her face to a level with his eyes, "You don't have a choice here" he reminded her.

Nessa seethed with anger as the asshole turned around, resuming his shopping and this time made some progress by selecting some items.

Everyone in the mall had stared at them like crazy when they first walked in, yet no one bothered them; it was none of their business. To most people, they looked like two teenagers who were madly in love with each other and didn't want to let go, instead, decided to shop  together handcuffed.

Nessa could have screamed for help but Damon's warning gaze was apparent: unless she wanted a death sentence, she should try screaming.

Damon continued shopping until his eyes settled on a red jacket with a hood. The color was the same as her hair which gladdened him.

"How is it?" He asked, testing the jacket on her body but she wasn't the least grateful, rolling her eyes in boredom. Well, what was he expecting, a thank you?

Damon was about to give up on this stubborn ass when he noticed she was restless. She was sweating and seemed to have problems walking.

"Hey, you alright? " He asked out of worry.

However, like the  other times, she just glared at him, hissed scornfully, and looked away.

"You're not going to say a word?" He pressed, watching her bit down on her lips as if trying to suppress herself from speaking.

"Fine, you can keep silent and die. Just so you know, I have enough money to fund your funeral" he goaded her.

As premeditated, his incitement brought a response out of her, "I want to pee so bad that it's fucking driving me crazy!" Nessa raved, her face red with anger.

Confused, Damon muttered "Then go do your thing"

But the girl gave him a dirty look, "Are you blind or what? I can't go to the washroom in this condition" she lifted her handcuffed wrist.

"Neither can you go into the lady's restroom with me" The girl noted down irritatedly until she saw Damon's eyes brighten with an idea?

"Don't even think about it, you pervert!"
