He felt her anger through the bond when Odele stepped on her pride and he knew how much pride matters to Nessa. Not only did Odele dare to flirt with him in front of her but also treated her like an insignificant being.
Damon knew how much these over-pampered socialites tend to look down on ordinary people. But then, Nessa was not an ordinary person, by the reason of being his girlfriend, her status was elevated already. He would have interfered, but this was Nessa's battle and all he could do was to help her.
