Chapter 1: Paths Align

----[MC's POV]----

I can't breathe, I feel like my body is getting weaker and I'm slowly losing consciousness

As I feel an anguishing feeling in my body and my eyes barely holding to stay open.

I could see my father yelling at the doctor talking about my condition "What do you mean you can't help him!?! Isn't it your job to help him recover?!!"

"But sir we've done everything we can. All we can do is..."

I couldn't hear what they were saying as I focused my attention on my mother who was holding my hands tight and expressing 'It will be alright sweetie...'

And I see my sister l looking at me holding herself back from crying "I... please d-don't leave us Tailor!!!" she broke down in tears as she said to me these words affirming to me that...

'I'm dying I guess' I thought to myself with an indifferent face.

Why? Because I knew of my condition. I have been bed ridden for almost my entire life in this hospital. My father hired all the professional doctors and paid no expense to see me recover.

I'm basically one of those terminally ill extras but at least I enjoyed my time in this world. I got the chance to eat a lot of delicious food, play video games I wanted, read books, etc.

I even got a loving family that's with me right now in possibly my last moments. I know I should be thankful.

Now it's time for me to say goodbye to my family.

"Mom, Dad, Sis" I mustered the last of my strength before I died just to say "Thank you"

I couldn't hold won anymore as my vision faded so I couldn't see their reactions. 'Goodbye family I'll miss you' I thought to myself as my eyes finally shut closed

I seem to have finally died huh... I wonder what will happen to me now. All I could see is nothing and I mean like almost pitch black nothing that I could mistake it to being closed with no light shining through this place.

'Wait is that a door?' thinking that 'I guess this must be the way out' I arrived at this presumptuous conclusion as that's the only thing I could come up with as I was lazy to think much.

I decided put those thoughts aside for now as I opened the door. Within it seems to be a hospital room that seems familiar I'm guessing this is and entered as I went through.

"Why!?' I flinched as I was met with a sudden scream "Why couldn't I just live a normal life!?!! Why couldn't I be loved?!!" the sad-depressed voice started to sob as it slowly went silent and the room faded to black. Before I could even see the figure and think about what I just heard and witnessed. I felt that my body got pulled and the scenery changed from my perspective almost instantly.

"Huh, Where am I now!?" I exclaimed loudly as to what just happened as now I'm in a place where I can only see white this time feeling agitated from the events happening after my death.

I could only contemplate in my thoughts 'Am I in heaven or hell!?' while screaming inwardly as to this predicament "Your in my domain" I was met with a cheerful neutral gender sounding voice that startled me to look at the direction where the sound came from.

The source was a girl wearing a loose white shirt and mint green trousers. For some reason her face looks like a god from the turn-based RPG game, Honkai Star Rail but there's no way so "You don't happen to be Yaoshi right?" I asked jokingly as I thought 'There's no way I could meet a beautiful girl in the after life let alone a literal god right?' laughing as I deny that but the girl looked at me with shock and excitement "Wow how did you know my name is Yaoshi" tilting her head as she smiles with her arms behind her back.

'Man she looks so pretty' as I was in a daze looking at her beautiful smile I snapped out of it as I just realized I felt like I misheard something "What?" my head was confused if I heard wrong but she confirmed "My name is Yaoshi and I'm the god of eternal paradise nice to meet you child" Yaoshi smiles as she looks at me at me wait

"Eh?!!!" I screamed in this belief as to what I just heard "You're Yaoshi!?" my mind was in disbelief as I asked "Yes, I'm Yaoshi why are you looking at me like you don't believe me?" she looks at me with her arms crossed as she wonders why I'm questioning her she continued "Is it that hard to believe I'm a god or something?" "No it's not that. It's just that" I answer her question with a shy voice "I thought you're a girl"

An awkward silence befell the place. I thought to myself one thing as I covered my face with both my hands 'Man I want to die again for saying that! I'm such an idiot!!!'
