Chapter 6: mission: visiting the family, and the guesthouse!

As he was calling back the memories, from the corner of his vision, he saw a familiar face for him

But that same familiar face isn't what he wanted to meet yet, he panicked as it wasn't time for him to search for

It was his sister

He wasted no time in finding a spot to hide in, he never expected that he'll meet her this early on!

As quickly as he searched, he found one and quickly dashed towards the alley between wanmins and another random building

'Darn it… that was way to close' ryuma thought with a complicated look on his face, if he got caught by his so-called 'sister', he would have to answer a lot of questions and maybe admit he was from another world

As he was momentarily relieved, he remembered something that ticked him off, he then began looking for his future stand and buddy

And as he expected, he saw him eating a grilled tiger fish with an innocent look on his face, which the frustrated ryuma knew was a act as he never warned him that HIS sister is coming

Going back from moments ago, xie shen told him that he can make a spiritual body which ryuma and the system to see, and the former somehow began eating the food the latter bought him

'He and paimon are very alike, both are gluttons that make you use more mora then you have to' Ryuma genuinely thought

The spiritual body of xie shen could only hold light objects, meaning he cant fight like as the usual stand the we all now. But that will change if he completes the quest as the system will fo some tweaking to make him a stand

Going back to the present, he was extremely frustrated at the fact that his friend hasn't warned him upon the incoming danger

'You bastard! You knew she was coming! Why haven't you notified me!?' Ryuma yelled out in his mind

'Well you did say you were training… so I assumed you'd notice from a safe distance, so I didn't say anything as it would improve your observation more.' Xie shen muttered back to him with a teasing face

'…thats the stupidest shit I've ever heard so far' ryuma replied with a stupefied face

Upon reading this, both had had 1 similar expression, and it was surprise as both never knew that it could do that, but both had different feelings about this new fact

Ryuma had a joyful expression as he could have his revenge at xie shen for making him lose his braincells

The latter had a look of terror at the fact, he really treasured his jewels before his death. So hearing this made him feel guilt for not reminding the former sooner

Just as ryuma was about to give an answer, he heard the voice of his 'sibling' greeting the chef running wanmins

Despite being interrupted from his revenge, his curiosity persisted for him to take a peek, so he did exactly that

"Can i please get some.." the neutral face that she had quickly turned into a sad one, but immediately turning back to the original expression "grilled tiger fish?" She completed her sentence, she had a small expression of nostalgia

Despite having a weird look on his face, chef mao agreed and quickly began preparing her order

The sudden realization hit ryuma, from what he gathered, xie shen and his sister always used to go to wanmins and order together. So he and his 'sister' ordering separately was unusual, which caused him to worry

But that worry came to an end as the chef finished the dish he was cooking, quickly gave his 'sibling' the food which then the latter took and gratefully thanked chef mao, then began wandering away

See this, He quickly respected the chef for not snitching on him and noted it

'If im correct then you are Chef mao… you are good in my book so far, thank you' he admired chef mao, he will surely repay him in the future if he's able to

'She doesn't like grilled tiger fish.' Xie shen mentioned to ryuma with a grim expression

'Huh?' The latter was confused at his sudden information

'She usually doesn't order it for herself, she prefers anything else, she…' the former assured, with each second his face becoming more and more depressing

And from that, Ryuma understood what he was trying to say, silently listening to xie shen each word. Hoping to at least comfort him by staying by his side, until an idea popped up in his mind

'Why dont we follow her? You still need to see your mother after all' ryuma informed him with his outrageous idea

This sudden plan of ryuma broke him out of his sorrowing state, and instantly shot him with a question 'but didn't you say that you'll get out when you let me see my sister? It'll be suspicious if you follow her with a crowd of people present'

'You see, you do know that the night will give us a better advantage not getting caught, plus we do know where they live, so think of it as a kind gesture from me' assured the chef to the future stand

Xie shen stayed silent on this matter, he didn't know what to say

'Look man, this is the usual "mc assuring his friend with a emotional task" cliche, but you gotta see your last family members remaining, im not that power-hungry to abandon the quest here, so you cant just give up now. Your only human after all' ryuma assured him, he might be training to get stronger, but isn't really quick to rush as xie shen has emotions too

'…thank you, ryuma' xie shen replied with a smile

'You didn't get the reference… eh alright, lets go' the former was disappointed for a moment, but quickly recovering began following his sister

Although the latter was confused for a moment, but simply ignored it

In the night breeze, the air was cold, the stars shined beautifully as they always were.

It was nighttime, and here we see a young man standing in front of an house, seemingly patient for something

'So you have a fixed amount of distance you can stray away from me, thats correct?' Ryuma Confirmed the answer

'Thats correct, so if you stand right in front of the door, i can essentially visit every part of the house' xie shen assured him

'I see, ill just stand infront of the door. You do your business and hurry up while doing it, i dont want to ruin my sleep schedule by that much' he told him, he already guessed that his sleep schedule will get ruined. So he at least want it by a few hours as thats still fixable

'Alright! Ill be very quick!' Xie shen only said with a wide smile on his face, and quickly departed into the house

Seeing this, ryuma only sighed and put his back on the door

He could not shake off the feeling of being constantly watched, so he really needs to leave liyue harbor as soon he finds the opportunity. Liyue has intelligence networks, fatui and spies for him to deal with, if him talking to no one and currently standing in front of a home wasn't suspicious enough, at worst he could be discovered that he is a person from another world that knows a lot information, so he better be careful starting now

So he just endured the feeling and patiently wait for his friend to finish his goals

But that thought came to an end as xie shen appeared out of thin air next to hin

'Heya!' He said with a big grin

'CRAP! Cant you just approach me normally…' Ryuma wondered, xie shen loved popping out randomly

'Well, its in the middle of the night so we will need some rest, why don't you go to Baiju Guesthouse?' He suggested to a tired ryuma, who considered the thought before nodding as he really sleep deprived

The latter appreciated the thought of kindness, so he began walking towards said place

As he arrived, he saw a waitress standing infront of the door, so he guessed she would help him as he never cared for this place in-game as it was extremely useless until now

The waitress saw him approaching her, so she prepared her introduction

"Greetings young sir, are you here to take a meal, or to find a room for the night?" she began talking to the new potential customer

"Im here to book a room for 2 nights, is that okay?" He questioned xiuhua

"Thats no problem! that will cost 2800 mora, do you have that amount? If not, im afraid you cant enter." She questioned him, she had to deal with a lot of people who forgot their wallet, especially young masters…

"Indeed! Just let me get it" he reached out in his pocket, and with a quick thought 'system! Extract 4000 mora please!'

[ extraction complete! A pouch of 4000 mora has appeard on you hand ]

That was a new trick he recently learned, his mora was stored in the system and he can take out and put in mora willingly, so wallets were useless for him

Back to the story, he pulled out the pouch of mora out of his pocket and gave it to the waitress, who seemed a bit surprised

"So, which room am i in?" He questioned the waitress, getting impatient as she counted the mora

"G-go ask the staff inside, they will lead you to your room. by the way sir, H-how much did you give-" she was cut off by him

"Thanks for your service ma'am, thats 4000 mora. The rest is yours, ill see you next time!" As he rushed inside, leaving her slightly stunned

The door to a room opened, revealing 2 men outside the room

"Thanks for leading me to my room sir!" He thanked the staff that guided him, he entered here not to long ago and saw someone at the entrance, who helped him book a room and finding said room

"Its no big deal, have a fun stay!" The staff replied as he walked in the opposite

Ryuma entered his room with a happy expression, closed off the door and began looking for the bedroom

When he found it, he instantly jumped on the bed and began feeling blissful as he finally layed on a real bed instead of the rocks he was usually sleeping on back in the small cave

'Your not gonna shower? Im sure you haven't showered onc-' xie shen got cut off by the tired ryuma

'Shut up, ill do it tomorrow, so go to sleep so i can sleep' he said to xie shen

After a few seconds, ryuma felt his vision getting darker, indicating that his drifting to slrep, which he didn't resist at all
