Prosthetic limbs on the market now are really just 'prosthetic limbs', capable of providing support and balance for the body, but almost incapable of operation. Most high-tech prosthetic limbs are robotic arms with many functions, but the vast majority of them are impractical, and some are even inferior to ordinary prosthetics.
"If a prosthetic can be developed that utilizes the human nervous system to detect touch, the prospects would definitely be good,"
Zhao Yi said.
That was his idea.
If a prosthetic had the function of human tactile sensation, it would be almost like a real limb.
But to have the function of human tactile sensation is extremely difficult, considering the theory of tactile nerve conduction, to research and develop such a feature presents many challenges.
Zhao Yi explained, "We're not actually aiming to develop a prosthetic limb, but the technology for prosthetic touch points to be captured by the human nervous system."
