The Start

The Conservation Center for Forests covers more than 15 million acres of land and is one of the largest centers in the world. The Forest is covered entirely by a dome of hexagon shaped glass, with Arkri reinforced steel separating each piece.

As the team came closer to the conservation center, the noticed lots of cars parked near the entrance. Near these cars stood other teams who were chatting contently with each other. As they came closer, the teams stood instantly quieted down and they stood at attention.

Kira turned to the person nearest to her, a short girl with brown hairs and brown eyes. "Has everyone arrived?" She asked.

The girl straightened her back as she was being addressed. "Every team has arrived."

Kira "Good. I'm sure you all know the plan by now, so there's no need for talk."

In a louder voice she yelled, "Everyone separate into your designated groups! We will be entering in 5 minutes."

Teams grabbed up their bags and split up to stand behind their captain for this mission. After the time was up, Mason pushed open the double doors leading to the inside of the center.

The second the doors opened everyone was hit by a strong gust of warm air. As they walked further inside, sounds of animals of all kinds got louder.

In front of them lay a small reception area where a man who looked to be in his thirties sat behind a large desk tapping away at his Holo-Pad.

The man glanced up briefly at the group as they passed by his desk, but went back to work after Kira showed him her bracelet.

The forest the teams now treaded through was alive with color and life. The trees were sturdy and tall and their branches were thick of green foliage. In some trees lay small nests where birds chirped loudly and other animals hidden in the leaves that also made sounds to be heard for dozens of feet. Deeper inside the forest were species to big to fit in the trees and instead chose to stay inside their caves or holes in the ground.

As they walked further inside, the came to a large empty circle of space surrounded by forest. Inside, the animals noise seemed to be miles away. As if they had avoided this specific area.

Wish set her bag down near the edge of the circle and looked at the time on her bracelet.

"10 minutes." she told Kira.

"Alright. Hede's group, Lucy's group, Pax's group and Mason's group, get in position."

Hede and Lucy nodded. Lucy and Mason's group went off to the center of the circle. Hede instructed his group to get up into the air.

One by one, an intense look of concentration passed over each of their faces as they began to float upwards. About 3 inches off the ground, their eyes opened back up, and they flew smoothly above the trees.

With that out of that way, Kira ordered the other teams to get in position and waited for the Aliens arrival.

While they waited, Lucy and Serenity passed out MALUM enhancers to people. Those who took one flicked of the biodegradable cap and drank it. 5 minutes in, Hede called out.

"Wormhole forming! Directly above!"

Sure enough directly above them was a wormhole the size of basketball and it was expanding quickly.

"Everyone prepare for landing!" Kira yelled out.

Everyone went to stand behind Pax's group.

Pax pressed her hand on her chest. {Sko, Summoning.} She slowly pulled her hand away and a bow started to slip out of her chest. Once half of the bow was exposed, she pulled out the bow. She then put the upper limb on her forehead and under her breath, Pax mumbled, "Creator of life, lend me the advantage to end my foe. Enhance."

The bow changed color changed from grey to red and a gray arrow formed on the bow. "Level 5, Achilles's Shield." She pulled back the bowstring and then let it loose, sending the arrow fly. It only flew a feet in front of them before expanding into a giant shield that covered the entire circle.

"Weapons ready!" Kira yelled to the crowd.

As the teams got out their weapons, the wormhole expanded to the size of 1 and a half football fields and a white thing began to try to shift and contort its way out. Seconds later, when everyone was in their positions to attack-the hole became smaller and smaller, until it was no bigger than tennis ball. Then suddenly it expanded and aliens rained down from the sky.

Their outer layer was a mix of jet black and snow white and their body was like that of a squid and their face was ugly and disproportionate with teeth like a shark and a face like a blob fish. Their entire body was jellified in their own mucus.

As they came falling down, Pax ordered her group to draw back their bows.

"Only shoot when you know you've locked on to a target." She yelled. "Keep the power of the spells to a minimum."

Her team nodded and aimed carefully at each alien.

As the first one came down, a boy in Pax's team yelled, "I got it!", and released his bow string, and let the arrow fly. As it flew further away, the boy yelled "{Circulum iecit}", and mid-air, the arrow changed it's trajectory and aimed for the alien above the first one. The arrow drove itself through the aliens heart before looping around and doing the same to the first-lodging itself in in heart. As both aliens fell to ground, dead, more and more aliens poured from the gash in the sky.

As Pax's team took down the oncoming intruders, Hede and his team took care of some of the aliens by grabbing them from mid-air and punching or stabbing through their flesh and ripping out their, big, grey, oval shaped hearts out and dropping them.

Mason and his team also did their fair share of battle. When an alien touched the ground, one of them would grab its and say the hymn, {Prohibere, Diminish.} The aliens would immediately stop moving and after a second also fall to the ground.

Lucy's group, including Serenity, had started picking up the stuff on the ground and also dragging dead aliens to a pile where they got to work taking parts of the aliens body so that they could trade them at the Supply Cores main building.

Everyone else on the field were making sure no harm was coming to the forest. If one of the aliens lived long enough to work up an attack, one of the designated protectors would cancel out their attack with one of their own and then proceed to wipe the alien out.

This whole operation went on for about 10 minutes.

And then, the Supports arrived.
