CHAPTER 3 SISTER

The woman looks at him with a tearful expression; she starts to cry once again. The people around them were watching in shock; they could not believe what they were seeing.

She once again wipes the tears from her eyes, takes a deep breath to calm herself down, and asks one of the people behind her, "What about that trash? Have you found any traces of him?"

She is shaking in anger; it seems that the person she is talking about earned her hatred. Leon shivers as he feels the biting cold aura emanating from the beautiful woman in front of him.

'Killing intent! ' He immediately knows what she is exuding; this is a very familiar aura to him. Since his dad was once a captain of his former country's most renowned military troop, he had sensed a similar aura from his former comrades.

His nerves become tense; he cannot believe that he is sensing an aura comparable to and probably even stronger than the veterans that participated in some of the most brutal wars that his original world has.

'This world is much more dangerous than I expected! To think someone so young would develop such a powerful killing intent! ' He screams inwardly; he knows that this person in front of him has killed not only animals but also humans.

'What a very scary sister. I must be careful around her; she will definitely beat me to a pulp if I piss her off.' This thought flashes in his mind.

He whispers in the ears of a man that transformed into a huge dog, "Who is she talking about? Looking at her face, she is incredibly angry at that person."

The man sighs and says, "He is your friend; he is a known trash that only hunts normal-grade worms in the outskirts of the Crystal Forest."

"I do not know how he did it, but he managed to get lucky and kill a variant of the Gluttonous Worm that is actually a supernatural-grade monster, and not only that, he even managed to obtain a soul blessing from it."

His tone is laced with jealousy; meanwhile, Leon's eyes start to twitch. He takes a deep breath and asks, "What about his family? They should be ecstatic that he managed to obtain such lucky encounters."

He might not know half of the things the man has said, but he still asks this question; he must know the answer, as a foreboding bad feeling runs down his spine.

"That trash? Other than his crippled sister, he does not have any family members left. According to the information that we have gathered, it seems that his parents both perished in the third realm. It is a pity; there are only a couple of people in our sector that were capable of reaching the third realm."

'Yep, I am not the main character of this f*cking world. Looking at the people around me, it seems that I am a rich second generation that has befriended the unlucky lucky main character. If I were in a novel, I would definitely be a side character that only exists in the first couple of chapters before dying in the hands of some sort of monster, only for the main character to obtain some sort of lucky encounters after my death.'

Taking a deep breath, he tries to calm down his raging emotion; unfortunately, his hands that were shaking betrays him. He quickly asks his most trusted companion, 'System, tell me, have I been transported into a world inside one of the novels I had read? '

[Negatively, there are an infinite number of universes around us, a multiverse that has different types of laws existing in their place. In this world, the system has discovered that there seems to be some sort of genetic evolution in the bodies of human beings.]

'Similar but not the same, unfortunately, there is still a chance that I might truly be a side character in the story of the main character's rise to greatness.'

He looks at the people around him, but looking at the beautiful woman in front of him, he shivers. He seems to have realised something.

'No f*cking way! If I am not wrong, the story should have continued after the death of the original owner of this body. This beautiful but cold woman would chase the main character and try to confront him about her brother's death.'

'After a couple of ups and downs, she would fall in love with the main character.'

He asks the person besides him once again, "Elcio, tell me honestly, is the person that my sister is talking about handsome?"

Elcio hesitates a little bit before answering, "Actually, other than his low status and trash ability, everything about him is actually superb, including his appearance and intelligence, including his willpower."

"He even earned your respect, and you started calling him your leader after hunting with him a couple of times."

Leon finally accepted the fact that he is none other than some cannon fodder side character that only serves as the main character's subordinate. With his status, the latter is capable of selling some of the stuff that he luckily found without retaliation from the major forces.

Not only that, he would also be a bridge that would connect his beautiful and cold sister to the main character, leaving him with nothing but some background character that would die at the first hint of danger.

He is smiling outwardly but inwardly; he is cursing loudly. His former life is already pitiful enough, but even in this life, he is cursed with nothing bad luck.

He is born with incredible luck, is rich, and has doting family members, only to suffer for the rest of his life after reaching adulthood.

It seems that this is the case for this life. He clenches his fist tightly, and he might be smiling in front of everyone, but he swears in his mind that he will not be helpless anymore, not in this life.
