Chapter 5- Returning to Earth

After Arc ran in circles for few times as he did not know the way to his assigned room, which made him tired. But, he did reach the room at last.

Walking into the room, Arc who had now seen the normal room which is quite spacious including a bed made out of stone. 

He walked to bed and sat thinking to himself as to what to do right now, calling his Dagger monster soul, he kept looking at it and thought he should first go back home by using the teleportation station mentioned by Tanisha.

His clothes were not in a good position but it wasn't torn so he could still make do with them after spending so much time running and walking down the forest made him sweat covered him in some dirt. This made him quite smelly.

He walked out of his room which was now empty again after closing the door. He continued walking out of the corridor and saw some people going on about their ways.

In the hustle of those people was a young man around 19 or 20 who was sitting on the stairs of the corridor. Arc slowly walked in the direction of that man while focusing on not making much voice.

When Arc was getting close to that man, he suddenly turned around while pointing a sword at him. Which sword might be Monster Soul?

"You are still too new for sneaking up on me. You should focus on learning before trying such things on anyone in this shelter because they have strong senses and have learned many different types of skills and martial arts."

As that man was saying this, he noticed that the person who walked behind him was a young man which made him a little surprised.

He called back his sword while sighing.

"I thought, It was someone trying to pick on me, but I did not know that it was just a mischief from new blood."

Arc who was taken by surprise by the reaction of this unknown man, subconsciously called his dagger while glaring at the man. 

But he did not see any reaction from him but just a playful glint in his eyes.

"Oh! I am scared, really scared." Man said.

Arc noticed that the man was in no intention of harming him so he lowered his pointed dagger.

"You are silly, Are you new here? You should know that attacking someone in Shelter is prohibited. I would not tell anyone this as you are new. Tell me your name as a payment for my favour."

Arc understanding the words of man said, " My name, it's Arc. Do you know where this teleportation station is?" At the last of his words, he added his question.

"I will guide you there myself, but you have to sell me that dagger monster soul of yours. You can say, I am a bit of a collector and like to collect ten same monster souls." 

"Why would I sell you something, when I don't even know your name." Arc is not ready to part with his only offensive beast soul, even though he needs money because this beast soul can help him hunt more beasts and defend himself.

"You wouldn't be able to go there anyway if I decide to tell others to not help you. As for my name, It's Yogesh Vora."

The man's reply this time was offensive and filled with threats and it is said that the man had stern expressions on his face made it more horrible.

Arc didn't want to offend anyone here before getting to know more about the situation here.

"Okay, I would sell this dagger, but what price are you proposing," Arc asked continuing the conversation.

"Price, it depends on the rank of beast soul. If it's the lowest common level beast soul then I can offer you around 1,40,000 rupees. So, what do you say? It's the best offer you can get in this shelter by far. So, think before deciding."

"1,40,000. That much." Arc who wanted to look like he had experience suddenly lost his cool because he didn't get to so much at once even when his father was alive and had a good business.

"Hahaha, You acting like this makes it more natural, as you are just a kid. Anyway, let me give you some advice that the beast's soul is a more precious resource here because the chances of obtaining it are hard even by killing many beasts of the same kind. Its preciousness is highest here. The second thing is the bodies of beasts, from which you can get gene points. Although there are things which are also precious you would learn about them along the way."

"So, are you showing me the way to the teleport station also included in this deal? Thank you for this information. I will help in some way in future if I can."

Arc said after thinking many times in mind about what he wanted to say now.

"Of course, it is included in the deal. So, I think this deal is good enough for today but if you want to make another deal in future, you can come to me." Yogesh said, when saying this, he had an unusual glint of seriousness in his eyes.

Then after guiding Arc to the front of the teleportation station, he immediately left after completing the deal there by getting the soul transferred from Arc and giving him the money from the bag he was wearing on his back. Arc at first thought is it common to carry so much cash?

Then Arc entered the reception of the teleportation station.

Yogesh who was now in the forest alone said, "You can come out and say what you want to say."

"Master, do you think this newbie is worth investing in? He may die even midway before even reaching the level you want him to achieve." A man who came from behind one tree in a complete black uniform and one sword on his back said while getting in position placing one knee on the ground and placing his hand on his heart.

"That thing is left in future. But, I am curious about character and personality." Yogesh said.

"Should I gather information on him?" Man in black clothes suggested while still on one knee.

"No, need. Let this thing stay mysterious and interesting." Yogesh replied.
