Commander Ava Bennett is walking through a busy hallway leading to the officer planet-side lounge. She is in command of the 5th Special Interstellar Force (SIF) Platoon, 2nd Interstellar Special Operation (ISO) Division. Her Platoon was responsible for the destruction of Marikar military command hub which resulted in the total collapse of the Empire's military. The operation was a daring assault and descripted as "Suicide Mission" in hope of ending the war quickly and despite overwhelming odds, the 5th SIF under Bennett's command succeeded despite 1/3 of the platoon was KIA.

--Interstellar Special Operation--
A SIF Platoon is consist of 16 operators including 2 junior officers and 4 to 6 SAT-8 combat bots depend on the nature of the mission. There are 24 ISO Divisions in the UNE military, each consist of 30 SIF Platoons, 5 logistic Platoons and 2 fleets of 5 Phantom Class Destroyer for behind enemy line deployment. Since the foundation of ISO right after the First Intergalactic War, ISO had never operated as a division but assign its platoons to fighting fleets in the frontline or deploy small units on special operations wherever they are needed.

The SAT-8 Combat Bot or just simply SAT8 is 1.5 meter (5 feet) long and 60cm (2 feet) tall 4 legs weapon platform assigned with infantry units for more effective combat performance. Each unit on its dorsal is fitted with 1 three-barrel rotary 10mm and a grenade launcher, SAT8 is fully armored with KEL, personal energy shield unit and KEL claws. She heads to the table by a large window where Lieutenant Commander Ashley Le, Lieutenant Rob Anderson, Lieutenant Jimmy Parson and Lieutenant David Smith are sitting and seem to be laughing about some story.
"Comandarrrrrrr!" Rob called to Ava, "Happy Unification Day, how are you feeling?".
"Thanks Rob, I'm feeling ok" Ave replies as she take a seat "So what are you guys talking about?"
"Just talking about the good old times Commander" Ashley says with a smile, "Just before you arrived we were talking about that David was so drunk he walked into Admiral's Taylor office in his underwear, Admiral was so mad he stormed into the barrack so hard looking for you we thought that the base was under attack".
"And I was in the toilet taking a dump but was dragged outside to stand and watch this Drunkvid here doing push up" Jimmy laugh as he mess up David hair.
"Hey it was you and made me drink all that bottles, stupid bet, I shouldn't have agreed to that" David struggle to get out of Jimmy's arm "I wasn't the only one too, Ned was so drunk he couldn't even stand"
"Oh I remember that time, it was 3 months before the Suicide Mission right? Taylor was yelling at me for not controlling my men in his office for an hour and a half" Ava replied with a laugh "You are a SIF unit Commander, Control your men or I will have your platoon do janitor bots' job for a month" quoting Taylor is a sarcastic voice, "Good times, but then came the Suicide Mission".
"You know it's not on you that the mission went to hell right?" Ashley says as she put a hand on Ave's shoulder to comfort her.
Ava leans back on her chair and look out of the window to Eden Prime "I know, but I can't shake the thought that I could've done more, maybe I could've went back and…I don't know…maybe I could save someone? Maybe I could've saved Ned".
"If Ned hadn't stayed behind and held that blast gate, a lot more of out men were going to die Ava. Don't be so hard on yourself, we gotta move on and honor the sacrifices they made" Raising his glass David propose a toast.
"Here to Ned" Ava and the group.
"So, do you have any plan for today Ava? Me and the boys are going to Eden Prime moon to watch wheel cars race, you should come with us" says Ashley. Wheels was replace by hover pad for ground vehicles since the invention of anti-mess technology using negative mass theory, but wheel cars racing is still very popular among the UNE population.
"Thank for the invite Ash, but I want to see the Unification Exhbition on New Ginza, they're displaying all the ancient 21st and 22nd century weapons" Ava says "Speaking of which I'm already late for it, you guys have fun. I should go".
--New Ginza city, Eden Prime--
Stepping out from the Planetary Transit Hub, greeting Ava are massive and aesthetically beautiful skyscrapers with beautiful sunlight shining on the city of New Ginza. Despite being over hundred years old, constructed with advance materials and continuously maintained by advance construction technology still giving the city a new and clean scenery. The city traffic is buzzing with busy traffic and people that are enjoying the cheerful holiday atmosphere.
Transit pod system that allow people to travel different section of the city conveniently has a station just right outside of the Planetary Transit Hub.
"Maybe I should grab some snack before going to the exhibition" Ava thinking to herself while asking her phone for the nearest convenience store to the exhibition location. After note the phone's suggestion Ava input the location of the 7 Eleven store on the pod's console and transfer the fee. The transit pod made of mostly glass spare for the floor and the back section where the engine is located fly up into the air revealing the beautiful city bellow and surrounded by magnificent skyscrapers, some of the skyscrapers reach up to 2 kilometer (1.24 miles) tall.

In the middle of the big New Ginza Square, a mysterious Roman like structure appear out of a sudden and attract bystanders' attention. Police quickly arrive and secure the area around the structure and keep the civilian away until investigation team can figure out what is happening. Looking through the visor they can detect no radiation or energy signature of any type emitting from the structure but the massive gate way measured 10 meters (33 feet) width and 15 meters (49 feet) height leading to the unknown is pit black.
"First Contact Protocol initiated, assume hostile, I want 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) radius from this thing clear of civilian. Get to work people" the captain of the police unit giving command after receiving transmission from Eden Alpha stating the object is alien and unknown.
First Contact Protocol is UNE plan in the event of discover an alien civilization or signs of alien civilization. Created shortly after the form of UNE, the first draft of the protocol dictate that when a new alien civilization make contact, open and friendly diplomacy will be used to initiate relation. However, the protocol was revised after the First Intergalactic War that UNE will assume all new alien civilization hostile until further investigation can be made and their intention made clear.

"What is it?" Rear Admiral Zhang ask as he's walking into CIC.
"We don't know sir, the structure just appear out of thin air. We don't know where it came from, none of our sensors detected it before it appear. I ran analysis and there's nothing coming from it, no wormhole connection, no warp signature no energy of any type and Eden Prime's planetary shield is still at full power. There's no way anything gotten through without us knowing" one of the CIC crews responds.
"Apparently something did, I want to run a full diagnostic of our system and then a full scan of the planet surface. Have Rear Admiral Robert of Eden Prime Defense Fleet on the line" Zhang giving his command and turn to his XO "Send a report to Terra Sphere and let them know we have a possible first contact situation".
The holographic image of Admiral Robert show up on the communication ring when the line is connected "Admiral Zhang, I assume you hear report from the surface by now. The data from Eden Alpha and from our ship sensors are matched which indicate that it is not a malfunction, I have had my fleet on yellow alert and prepare for deployment" Robert says as his bridge light turn red and alarm light strips turn yellow.
Planetary defense consist of a planetary shield and a series of automatic defense platforms deployed at strategic locations around the planet. A defense fleet always present in the system, named after the colonized planet or system's capital in the system, consist of 30 frigates, 15 destroyers, 15 cruisers, 5 battleships and 1 command ship all belong the Guardian doctrine design for the sole purpose of defending UNE border and occupied territory. The command ship is larger than a battleship but its firepower is just slightly better than a cruiser, its shielding is the strongest of all and extremely specialized in electronic warfare with advance EW and counter EW suits. For ground combat, in addition to each battleship's marine battalion, the command ship carries a full marine division with tanks and IFV. For air support, each battleship carries 2 wings of multi-mission SF-40 star fighters and the command ship carries 10 wings of multi-mission SF-40 with the additional of 2 wings of GS-12 gunship.
--New Ginza city, Eden Prime--
While the police are busy evacuating the civilian away from the strange structure, from the pit black a formation of men dress in armor like ancient Roman army with sword and bows march out into the square and form up. Before anyone understand what is going on, a person on horseback with fancy and distinctive armor gives a speech in strange language while more and more mem are marching out of the strange structure.
"Sons of Sadera, today we fight, today we find glory, today we bring honor to our families and the Empire. Show no mercy, take everything. Charge!" As the general command, mem, all kind of monster and beast with cavalry charge forward and slaughter everyone in their way, wyverns with their raiders pour out of the gate and attack police as well as civilians.
In the 31st century, crime in the UNE is nearly none existence. Therefore, the police force is lightly armed with stun guns and no personal shield. Without any real means of inflicting casualty to the enemy, New Ginza police is being overwhelmed quickly. Order was given to take the civilians to their nearest bunker, these bunkers can withstand planetary bombardment and act as mass live pods incase of the destruction of the planet.

Ava is standing in front of a long snack aisle then she suddenly hear people screaming outside with loud explosion. A wyvern throw what seem like top half of a man into the convenience store breaking it window.
"What the hell?" Ava upholster her plasma submachine gun and rush outside. In 31st century, the military stop producing and issuing pistols to its troops as advance mass accelerate technology allows SMG to be compact while offering the same accuracy and firepower with a faster rate of fire. Looking at the opposite direction of where everyone is running, Ava sees an army make up creates from the manga she used to read as kid that is slaughtering innocent people. Pulling her phone out to contact Eden Alpha "Admiral, are you seeing what I'm seeing?".
"Planetary defense units are being deploy ETA 5 mike, just hang on" Admiral Zhang replies.
"Roger that" Ava replies while trying to get a better understanding of the situation.
A mother carries her babies while holding her other kid hand trying to run for safety but the enemies are almost catching up with her. Ava aims her SMG wanting to shoot the perusing soldiers but can't get a clear shot as there are too many people in the way. The Commander without combat armor and personal shield, rush to the direction of the woman but it was too late. An arrow hit the woman's leg as she falls to the ground and the enemy legionaries catch up with her who then mercilessly slaughter the 2 children and then trying to rape the poor woman. A camera crew nearby record the entire crime of the invading force but the camera operator is grabbed by a wyvern's claws then squeezes him in half.
Ava fires a burst of plasma bullets up at the wyvern, which punch straight through its scale, body, and the raider as well as his armor instantly kill them. Seeing that the enemy is quickly advancing on her position, Ava makes a tactical decision to retreat to the nearest bunker and wait for the reinforcement. At that moment, a strong wind push against Ava as 2 D-20 Troop Transports carry the 5th SIF and 2 SD-20 Super Transports carry 4 Lancer-2 tanks land and active their deployment shield which emit a powerful shield that protect 3 meters radius around the transport ship.
"Cavalry is here Commander" Ashley runs up to the Ava and hands her the combat gears. Ava takes the combat armor nanotech box and attach it to the chest, then in seconds the Tactical Armor for Combat or TAC covers her body with personal shield activated. "Intel say that the enemy is building a camp at Ruby park 1 klick North East of our current position, our orders are to push for it and capture as many pow as possible with the 20th Marine Company cut the enemy from their escape through the gate, other units are also closing in on the enemy" Ashley continue.
"Show time everyone" Ava says as she activate her plasma rifle PAS-5.
--D-20 Troops Transport and SD-20 Super Transport--
These 2 transporters belong to the newest design using experience gained in the war with the Marikar Empire. The main different is the carry capacity, D-20 is troops transport capable of carrying 10 fully equipped soldiers or 1 IFV, the SD-20 is bigger and capable of carrying 2 Lancer-2 tanks with the additional of 10 fully equipped soldiers. Both are capable of limited fire support with 1 SWARM (Smart Weaponry Assault and Replicate Missiles) pod and 2 three-barrel rotary 20mm, they also fitted with a deployment shield for a more effective deployment in the heat of the battle.
--Lancer-2 tank--
The Lancer-2 is a hover tank with retractable tracks in case of emergency. Its main armament is 1 120mm gun capable of firing superheated plasma round for armor penetration or HEIP (high-explosive incendiary plasma) round. For anti-infantry it has 2 SWARM pods at the back and 2 three-barrel rotary 20mm that capable of tracking a jet flying at march 3. In addition to the powerful firepower, the tank is fully armored with KEL and a powerful shielding unit. Everything are powered by a single zero-point energy power cell.
--Tactical Armor for Combat--
In 31st Century, the advance replicate technology allow the UNE to easily mass-produce the best equipment for its troops. Therefore, all of the military use the same best equipment available with the only different is training. The TAC is designed and inspired by 21st century movie iron man nanotech suit but a lot more advance.

As you can see, the lights on the helmets are only visible by friendly troops, to the enemy UNE soldiers are faceless. The suit has an active and adaptive camouflage system which will change color and pattern base on the surrounding environment.
--Plasma weaponry--
In the known space, the UNE is only nation that have the technology level advance enough to create and mass-produce plasma weaponry to use from infantry ground troop to spaceship armaments. It is one of the best-kept secrets of Humanity. Although detail specs are not published, a plasma is a multilayer bullet, when the trigger is pulled, before mass effect field push the bullet out of the barrel at near speed of light the firing chamber will subject the bullet to an extremely strong electromagnetic field which completely ionizing the matter of the outer layer of the bullet. This process will continue until the bullet leaves the barrel and travel to its target, the result is a bolt of plasma 10 million Celcius (18 million F). Spaceship plasma beam is magnitude more powerful.

After 1 hour of clearing buildings and pushing enemy back, UNE forces has successfully stopped the invasion. The Marines was unable to stop the enemy from taking civilian through the gate in time but was able to cut the entire high-ranking enemy from escaping. It is estimated that 104 people were taken through the gate, civilian and polices death number in the thousands.
"Bravo Zulu Commander, we won the day" Admiral Zhang talk to Ave through her helmet.
"We're not fast enough sir, a lot of innocent people died" Ava frustrated "Do we have any plan of counter attack sir?".
"Terra Sphere sent word that the 9th Terra Fleet is on its way here, we will build a blockage around the gate and when the time come, we send our troops through and broadcast wherever that place location so our fleet can start traveling there" Zhang informs Ava.
"Copy that sir" Ava salutes.

2 weeks after New Ginza Incident
"Citizens of the United Nations of Earth, never before since the First Interstellar War has any enemy caused so much loss of life such as this. Our people were slaughter, rape and taken as slave by an unknown enemy who though they could bring humanity on its knees so easy, and they paid for it. But it is not enough, the people demand retribution and retribution they shall have. The other side of the gate is now designated Special Region, the 6th Marine Division with the 5th SIF will spearhead the invasion through the gate and broadcast Special Region location for the 9th Terra Fleet. Operation Retribution begins!" The president of the UNE finish his speech which is being broadcast on all frequency throughout UNE. People cheers with fire burning for vengeance and families with missing loved ones have hope.
The entire invasion force consist of the 6th Marine Division, 5th SIF, 75th Armor Division, 14th Logistic Division, 3rd Recon Battalion and the 29th Marine Division with the rest of 2nd ISO will be carried by the 9th Terra Fleet. All of which is gather at New Ginza Square and the avenues that connect to it for pre-invasion ceremony.
"I am General Adam Nguyen, I will be in charge of the joint operation in Special region. Non-classify detail of my service record is available to you all through MNet so you see for yourself and trust me when I say, I won't fail you. Soldiers! Oath!" General Nguyen gives his speech in front of the troops.

From the deepest of Marina Trench, to the furthest reach of the Universe,

Every soldier speak their oath in perfect unification, each of them is burning with fire for the battle ahead.
The invasion of UNE has begins and it seeks retribution.
