As my ears rang and my body was in pain I found that the blonde-haired man that saved me somehow got his bindings off and rushed over to help me up.
"Come on get up! We have to get moving!" Shouted Ralof.
As he helped me up from the ground I looked up to find that the town was on fire as the Dragon sewed chaos.
With his help, we managed to rush over to an intact tower where some of the other prisoners escaped to.
Once inside the tower the man released me, allowing me to lean against the wall and regain my breath.
"Jarl Ulfric! What is that thing? Could the legends be true?" Shouted Ralof as he looked towards his leader who was freed from his bindings and gag.
"Legends don't burn down villages," Ulfric replied.
"Agreed, can someone help me get these off?" I asked raising my hands which were still bound.
Ralof walked over and pulled out a dagger before cutting the bindings off.
Rubbing my wrists I asked, "Where did you get the knife?"
"Picked it off a guard during the chaos," Ralof informed me.
Once again another beastial roar echoed from outside as the dragon continued sowing chaos.
"We need to move. Now!" Shouted Ulfric.
"Up through the tower, let's go!" Shouted Ralof.
"Up the tower, are you mad?!" I shouted at Ralof as he rushed up the stairs.
Grunting in annoyance I followed him up to find him standing on the stairs with one of our fellow prisoners digging through the rubble that blocked us from going any further up.
Suddenly the whole tower shook as a massive dragon head bashed through the wall, crushing that prisoner with rubble.
With the dragon leaping off the tower and flying back to the sky Ralof and I moved over to the man and found that he died upon impact.
Looking through the hole on the side of the tower we could see a burning house on the other side.
Ralof looked over at me and said, "See the inn on the other side? Jump through the roof and keep going! Go! We'll follow when we can!"
Looking over the edge I took in a deep breath before looking back, "I wish you luck!"
With a leap, I jumped from the tower and rolled into the top floor of the Inn.
Looking back up I gave a thumbs up and watched Ralof head back down the tower.
Looking around I found that there were a few bottles around, a bed, and a chest.
Storing the bottles of...mead away into my inventory I quickly moved over to the chest and found inside an iron dagger and a pouch filled with some kind of coins.
Storing everything in my inventory I looked ahead and could see a hole in the floor that would allow me to drop down to the first floor.
Upon jumping down I quickly left the building and found myself before two men and a boy who was standing out in the open holding onto an injured man.
"Haming, you need to get over here. Now! That a boy. You're doing great. Torolf! Gods... Everyone get back!" shouted the soldier as we all watched the dragon land before burning the injured man to death.
Then the soldier noticed me, but to my surprise, he didn't attack me instead he said, "Still alive, prisoner? Keep close to me if you want to stay that way. Gunnar, take care of the boy. I have to find General Tullius and join their defense."
"Gods guide you, Hadvar," Prayed the man holding onto the crying boy.
Having me follow along we reached a wall as Hadvar shouted to stay close to the wall.
Suddenly the ground around us and the wall shook as the dragon landed on top of it.
Thinking the dragon noticed us I was relieved to find that the dragon only burned a man who was not paying attention.
As we rush past a few soldiers we soon make it to a large structure which the imperial soldier called 'Helgen Keep'.
Then rushing out from the corner of my eyes I see Ralof holding a small war axe.
The two soldiers crossed their eyes before looking at each other and then at me.
[A/N: Just so you know instead of the game both Hadvar and Ralof will survive no matter what]
Without hesitation, I chose to follow Ralof into the keep since you know, he didn't just attempt to execute me for no good reason at all.
Once we stepped into the Keep we immediately saw a corpse of a Stormcloak.
Walking over to him Ralof said, "We'll meet again in Sovngarde, brother."
He looked over to me and said, "You may as well take Gunjar's gear. He will not be needing it anymore."
