Tonight Show Interview

Pearl was in her dorm room, sitting in front of her mirror and getting ready for her talk show appearance with James. She wore a cute red top and a short skirt, carefully applying her makeup when she heard a knock on the door."Yeah, dude, you can come in," she said, still focusing on her reflection. The door opened and in walked Alex, looking dashing in his well-tailored clothes. He sat down on the bed, took out a magazine, and began to read."How long will you take, Pearl? I called you like three hours ago," he said, his eyes still on the page. Pearl looked up from her mirror, slightly irritated. "I told you, Alex, getting ready for the talk show tonight with James. It's a big deal, and I want to make sure I look good," she explained.

Alex looked up from his magazine and met her gaze. "Yeah, I know, but we were supposed to go out for dinner before the show. I don't want to be late," he said. Pearl sighed, putting down her lipstick. "I'm almost ready, just give me a few more minutes, okay?" she said, hoping to appease him.Alex nodded, going back to his magazine. "Sure thing, take your time. I'll just keep reading," he said. Finally, after what seemed like hours, she was ready to go.

"Okay, I'm done. Let's go," she said, grabbing her purse.Alex looked up, a smile on his face. "Finally! I thought we were never going to make it," he joked, standing up from the bed. Pearl rolled her eyes, but couldn't help but smile.

=======================================================================

Pearl went hiking in the middle of the night even though Alex said it was a bad idea as such Alex and Pearl had ventured into the wilderness, hiking in the stillness of the night despite Alex's initial misgivings. Pearl had dressed haphazardly, sporting clothing more suited for a night out in the city than an ascent up a mountain. But where the Fire Queen went, rules and practicalities were mere suggestions. As they reached the peak, Alex gazed out at the breathtaking view of the city below, feeling a pang of emotion he couldn't quite place. The success he had achieved, the very heights he had climbed to, had always seemed just out of reach for him, something he had been unable to share with his father. But as he stood atop that mountain, something in him shifted, and the memories of his father flooded back. Alex tried to blink back the tears that had formed in his eyes, but they betrayed him and trickled down his cheeks. Pearl, sensing his mood, broke the silence with a sarcastic quip, masking her own emotions.

"What watching a hot women in stunning clothing climbing a mountain made you cry?" she said, a sly grin playing on her lips.

Alex looked at her, his eyes red and watery, and shook his head. "It's not that, Pearl,"

after atleast 30 minutes of banter,

Pearl couldn't help but roll her eyes at Alex's comment. "Forger is not boring," she retorted, "he's actually quite charming and funny. I just wanted to ask him out the other day" Alex simply shrugged, not wanting to get into a debate about Pearl's dating life.

As they made their way down the mountain, Pearl slipped out of her heels and into a more comfortable pair of shoes. She leaned on Alex as they walked, not minding the closeness between them.

Once they hailed a taxi, Pearl directed the driver to her house. "You know, we could have gone to our own dorms," Alex commented, raising an eyebrow at her.

Pearl just smiled mischievously. "But I wanted to play video games all night, and I'm not lugging my gaming console all the way to the dorms. Plus, you're such a good gaming partner."

Alex couldn't help but chuckle at Pearl's enthusiasm. "Well, I do have a reputation for being the best," he said, grinning.

Pearl just rolled her eyes. "Modesty isn't your strong suit, is it?" she teased, opening the door to her room.

They settled down on the floor, surrounded by pillows and snacks. Pearl started up the game, and the two of them got lost in the world of virtual adventures.

As the night wore on, they talked about everything and anything, from school to their future plans. Alex couldn't help but notice how comfortable he felt around Pearl, how easy it was to be himself when he was with her.

Eventually, they both grew tired and decided to turn in for the night. Pearl got up to grab a blanket for Alex, setting it down on the floor beside her bed. "You can sleep here if you want," she said, a hint of shyness in her voice.

Alex nodded, settling down on the makeshift bed. As he drifted off to sleep, he couldn't help but think how lucky he was to have a friend like Pearl, someone who understood him better than anyone else.

The morning light seeped through the blinds, casting a warm glow in Pearl's room. As Alex stirred awake, He regretted sleeping in Pearl's room, he felt an uncomfortable weight on his chest. Looking down, he saw Pearl sprawled across him, her leg resting atop his chest. He carefully moved her leg and slipped out of the bed, padding quietly to the bathroom to freshen up.

As he emerged from the bathroom, he found Pearl holding his phone, scrolling through his messages. "Hey, give me my phone back," he said, reaching out for it.

Pearl pulled the phone out of his reach and smirked. "You said Forger was boring, but look who you're following- Maria Kenes!"

Alex's face flushed, and he snatched the phone from her hands. "How did you even unlock it?" he asked, furrowing his brows.

"Well, I know you," Pearl replied smugly. "Of course, I knew you'd keep your father's birthday as the password."

Alex rolled his eyes, but a small smile tugged at the corners of his lips. "You're impossible, you know that?"

Pearl grinned, hopping out of bed and playfully shoving him. "That's why I love me."

Alex and Pearl went down to the kitchen and made themselves breakfast. They made some pancakes and scrambled eggs and sat down at the table to eat.

As they were eating, Pearl said, "You know, I was thinking about what you said last night about Forger being boring. Maybe I should cancel the date."

Alex shrugged. "It's up to you. You don't have to listen to me."

"I know, but you're my friend, and I trust your opinion. So, what should I do?"

Alex thought for a moment. "Well, if you're not feeling excited about the date, then maybe it's not worth going. But if you're just nervous, then maybe give it a chance."

Pearl nodded. "Yeah, you're right. I'll give it a chance."

After they finished breakfast, they headed back to the dorms. On the way, they talked about random things, making each other laugh.

Once they reached their dorm, they went to their respective rooms to freshen up. Alex changed into a comfortable t-shirt and sweatpants, while Pearl put on some makeup and changed into a cute outfit.

They met up again in the Alex's room and Alex suggested they watch a movie.

"How about we watch that new action movie that just came out?" Alex asked.

Pearl wrinkled her nose. "Ugh, I hate action movies. They're so predictable."

Alex chuckled. "Okay, how about a rom-com?"

Pearl raised an eyebrow. "You want to watch a romantic comedy?"

Alex shrugged. "Hey, they're not that bad. Plus, I heard this one is really funny."

Pearl sighed. "Fine, but if it's terrible, I'm blaming you."

They settled down on the couch and started the movie. As they watched, they both laughed at the witty jokes and enjoyed the heartwarming moments.

After the movie ended, Pearl yawned. "Well, I think I'm going to turn in early tonight. I have to get up early for my date."

Alex nodded. "Yeah, I should probably go to bed too. I have a meeting with the LocalEats team in the morning."

Pearl gave him a playful punch on the arm. "Don't work too hard, Mr. CEO. Remember to take a break once in a while."

Alex smiled. "Thanks, I'll try to remember that."

They said goodnight to each other and She went to her room. As Alex lay in bed, he couldn't help but feel grateful for having Pearl as his friend. Despite their differences and occasional arguments, he knew she had his back, and he had hers.

For those that will go around shouting NTR! just because a female friend is trying to go on a date with a guy other than the Mc, Please use your brain.

I had to put this here because I have seen many Novels having Reviews loaded with commet saying NTR but when I read the Novel there is no such thing.
