Chapter 14: Dice

The first round of dice was about to begin, with the goal of achieving the lowest score. Each player had to roll five dice, a task that required exceptional skill and control. Four players took their positions! Wang Lei slammed his hand on the table, sending the five dice soaring into the air. With his other hand, he swiftly captured the dice inside a shaker, beginning to shake it vigorously. Li Yang and the others immediately followed suit, creating a constant chorus of rattling dice. Eventually, all four simultaneously slammed their shakers down on the table, with Li Yang gently pressing down on his lid.

Zhao Ming unveiled his score first: four dice showing a 1 and one dice showing a 2, totaling 6 points. He challenged, "Now, let's see who can beat me." Wang Lei burst into laughter, revealing, "Sorry, all my dice are ones, totaling 5 points." Lan Xi quietly uncovered her dice, which surprisingly matched Wang Lei's score. Wang Lei immediately shot Lan Xi a fierce glare.

Yet, no one paid any attention to Li Yang, acting as if he wasn't there. Breaking the silence, Li Yang spoke, "Aren't you curious about my score?" Wang Zhen retorted, "Do we even need to see yours? What can an outsider like you possibly achieve?" Calmly, Li Yang lifted his lid, revealing only four dice, all showing a 1, for a total of just 4 points, the lowest score in the room! The fifth dice had been crushed into powder. Li Yang had held back, showing restraint. While he had the ability to crush all five dice, he chose to break only one to not fully reveal his capabilities.

The room went silent, only broken by Red Phoenix's applause and praise for Li Yang's performance. Lan Xi was visibly stunned by Li Yang's skills. Wang Lei snarled, "Don't get too cocky. There are still two rounds to go." The second round was about to commence.
