As soon as the messages rang out. Tom, who was excited fell back on the floor and started writhing around like a worm.

His body turned crimson red as dark red veins appeared on his whole body, Tom felt like he was about to burst, this was different from when he received his previous abilities and powers.

Instinctively, new information about his acquired quirk filled his mind as he understood Damage absorption.

It was as simple as it looked, he had the ability to store Damage done to him, though just like his previous quirk, this one needed to be developed as well.

Soon his body that was starting to return to normal began burning as a black and dark aura surrounded his body.

Though he soon realized that there was no pain…only power.

"So this is cursed energy…wow!"

Tom had no idea how much cursed energy he had or how to use it, soon the info of other gifts also entered his mind.

Tom felt like he had hit the jackpot this time, especially the last two rewards he got, as well as the Shares of Baxters foundation, although it was still in ruins according to his understanding, even a mosquito has meat, no matter how small it is.

Stuck in a dream as a shadowy figure taught him how to use cursed energy and all about it, the worst thing was that to him, it felt like a week had passed and the weird figure wasn't much of a talkative person.

"Should I take the other pill as well, already took the red one, might as well take the blue one," Tom thought as he looked at the blue pill that will seemingly be able to train him in his new quirk.

To be honest, Tom felt like these training pills were the best thing that came in the epic Gachas since they will shorten his training time by a lot.

Tom took a look and put the pill in his mouth, repeating the same process again.

Tom woke up with a shout sometime later, the sound woke him up.

"The nightmare is over," Tom thought as he remembered being run over by vehicles in the nightmare until he became able to absorb the damage that he gained from them.

The process was much more brutal than with the cursed energy training, but everything was good in the end.

"Sigh! If I had this much strength back then, I would have KO'ed that damned lizard on our first meeting," Tom muttered as he got into the bathroom and cleaned himself.

Once he was done with that, Tom looked at the other rewards and his eyes fell on a blank book that had a small skill book written on it.

"So this is the skill book, I just need to write the name of a skill that is in the Epic category and I will get the skill," Tom mumbled excitedly as he looked at the small book in his hand that had only a single page in it.

Though soon his expressions turned dark as he remembered the darkside to this book,

"Though if the skill mentioned is not in the Epic rank, I will lose the book."

After thinking for a while, Tom decided not to play with fire and put the book back as he prepared himself for his adventure, he was sure that he will be able to survive in the other world.

"Alright system! Let's go," Tom said excitedly as he vanished from place.

Maybe it was because of his previous actions, but the system didn't even bother asking for a confirmation this time and sent him into the world of MHA.
