Shukaku POV

From the time the little runt learned how to crawl, it kept on pestering this great me without fear. He must have thought that this great Shukaku is a plush toy or something. I must rectify this attitude of his. But who am I kidding, the kid is actually pretty cute so I'm having fun with his daily visits.

When the kid began learning to speak he introduced himself as Gaara and asked for my name. I of course educated the little runt. Who on this plane would dare not know of the mighty Ichibi?

The gall on this kid, he even asked if I'm a raccoon... a fucking racoon! This little twerp don't know the DIFFERENCE! This great me is a mighty tailed beast and not some vermin! The difference is vast I'll have to make him understand this and get his mind sorted out.

'ARE YOU NOT AFRAID OF ME AT ALL?'

He came non stop even after I threatened him. I also thought about rampaging inside his head... The thought did not sit well with me. I've probably grown to care for the little runt. Not that I can help it, he was my only company for these past few years. This kid...

"I'm the mighty ICHIBI! Tremble before me mortal for I am the fear incarnation itself! hahahaha"

The child on the contrary looked sad.

"We're the same. Other people are afraid of me, even my family is afraid. Why do you wish to be feared? I am feared and I feel so lonely. Why do you seek to be feared? Don't you have friends? Don't you want friends? I for one would love to have some friends. Its just sad that nobody wants to be friends with me. Hey. Since we're the same, why dont we become friends?"

The kid talked non stop like a senbon shower before arriving to a proposal.

"Hahahahahaha!!! Friends? What makes you think that I would want such a deplorable thing?"

I a mighty tailed beast must keep up appearances and not disgrace myself in front of a mere human child.

"But aren't you lonely? You are alone in here with no one to talk to... It means you have no choice. I'll be your friend from now on."

This is harassment I swear...

"Hmph!"

I this great one will ignore you! I pretended to sleep but would still glance at the runt from time to time. This lasted for a few months and the kid simply wont give up on this friendship thing with me. Fine. Its your luck to have reluctantly made this great me to be your friend.

"Alright little runt. I will reluctantly agree to be friends with you... but, you will have to first guess my true name before we can be true fiends!"

The child is visibly shocked. He must have not expected this development.

"Your name? That's easy. A monk ojii san told me to call you Shukaku! He said that is what I should call you. Shukaku is your name isn't it?"

'Monk ojii san? Bunpuku? Wha... How?'

This is shocking. He talked to Bunpuku? But how?

"H... How did you know this ojii san? What's his name?"

Shukaku knew many names, he's been given many names, but those who knew his true name are very few. The only other human who knew his true name was the monk Bunpuku.

"Well he didn't tell me his name he appeared in my dreams lately, he asked me to call you Shukaku he was wearing monk robes so I guessed he's a monk. Did I guess your name correctly? Hahaha we're friends now Shukaku you have to stick to your words!"

The little runt and I the Ichibi became friends from then on, of course I am reluctant. Each time he visited we talked about many things. Mostly him asking me about the myriad of things in the world. One time, I mentioned I am capable of fuinjutsu and it got him interested. From then on, he pestered me to impart a portion of my great knowledge in the field upon him. I just knew he wouldn't stop until I give in, and so I relented eventually.

"I will humor your request but know that not everyone is capable in the field of fuinjutsu."

-------------

Gaara sat on his desk at home scribbling fuin inscriptions in a piece of paper. Learning fuinjutsu with Shukaku bore fruit but the progress is very slow. Not because Gaara became dumb, but because the Beast is a natural at using fuin inscriptions in seals. He only knew how to use it. Imparting knowledge probably is the bane of geniuses, some of them if not all or at least Shukaku is like that.

'I need a real teacher in fuinjutsu.'

He thought about Princes Tsunade and Orochimaru, the only ones he knew from the show to actively use fuinjutsu.

'Wait... Since Granny Chiyo managed to seal the Ichibi maybe...'

Gaara kept on pondering possible teachers who will help him improve. Meanwhile, at the hall of... I mean in the office of the Kazekage, a meeting is being held.

"I believe Gaara is ready for intensive training. We will need to find a teacher for him."

Rasa announced to the group as he panned he sharp gaze seemingly looking for suggestions from the elders. If he had the time to spare he would have done it himself but the village is in a dire state and he has a whole ton of things that needed his attention.

"We will be teaching the boy Rasa you won't have to look for any other teachers in the meantime."

Ebizo spoke his intention while partly representing his sister's stand on the matter.

"By WE you mean..."

"Yes, WE. It means me and elder sister will teach young Gaara."

Rasa nodded as myriad of thoughts flashed through his mind which decided that this truly is for the best. Gaara can be controlled easily by granny Chiyo in the event of a beast rampage and he will also get a chance to learn puppet and poison from the great grandmother. He grew convinced the more he thought about it.

"I see no problem with that. Does anyone else have a different opinion on the matter? ...Alright moving on..."

Chiyo shook her head watching the incompetent clown in front of her. She is clearly dissatisfied with the current Kazekage and decided to intervene on the training of the most likely candidate. If you want it done right then you will have to do it yourself after all.

'Hopefully the child can survive my training.'
