Kapitulo Syete
"You have made your choice, and good God you made the right one lest there be another shinobi war with Konaha at ground zero. Now go fulfill your duty to Konoha and its people whom you swore to protect."
The boy stood up, his eyes are red like blood brimming with resolve. He did not speak lest his will could crack, thus he left without a word. He was already wearing his grey anbu uniform and a short sword was sheathed on his right shoulder.
This night is bound to be decorated with blood and screams. A burden of murder placed on the shoulder of a thirteen year old child, well that was an understatement a huge understatement. He was tasked to kill every single one of his relative with the exception of his younger brother who he managed to bargain in exchange for peace and the will of fire.

Fugaku drank the tea that his wife prepared when the door opened and Itachi came in without speaking. The father sighed and closed his eyes ready to accept his death on the very hands of his dear son. Rivers of blood flowed down and trickled under the tatami mat in the compound of the Uchiha clan.
'Strange.'
"Did you find anything strange?"
"Sure did kid. You. You're strange hehehe. Who in their right mind would kill their entire clan for some vague concept such as peace?"
'Hmph! Nevermind then, but this family for sure and the other one gave birth to a baby if I'm not mistaken. Maybe they already knew this would happen and sent them away for protection? Anyway, its not my problem anymore if they're not in here, Danzo will take care of it.'
"Keep your vigilance, nobody knows you are involved in this so let's keep it that way."
"Yeah, yeah whatever loverboy."

Gaara looked behind him where five newborn babies in their swaddle can be seen. They began to cry loudly a minute ago and Gaara who has very little experience in nursing babies became flustered with all the crying he is hearing. If they are still sneaking in the territory of Konoha then he would have been attacked without rest by Konoha shinobi.
He wanted to save some more but the shinobi on patrol already noticed the commotion not to mention the anbu sneaking around to sniff out stragglers of the Uchiha clan who managed to pass through the net cast by their youngest member. Gaara had no choice but to use more of the strong handed methods in his arsenal, mostly paralyzing poison.
It was lucky and unlucky for him at the same time, lucky in a sense that no team with a Hyuga member was deployed in close proximity to the Uchiha clan compound when he was moving to rescue Uchiha babies; unlucky because he did not get to test out his new gear which will supposedly hide his chakra from those with special eye bloodlines like the Hyuga and the Uchiha.
But that's not what's important right now. Right now, getting these poor children to safety is what comes first. Oddly enough Gaara isn't heading towards the location of Sunagakure. This is not a diversion tactic but because the ruins of the gelel mines is no longer in ruins anymore. It was upgraded and renovated by Gaara to serve as his secret base. One of many. But here, he planned to continue the research of life energy as his clones decrypted the ancient writings of the Gelel civilization.
This was also one of the reasons why he decided to dip a finger in this Uchiha clan fiasco. He received a boost in confidence from the power-up from the life energy in the gelel mine. Not just him, Shukaku was also affected by it and is now several times larger than it originally was. In Gaara's hypothesis, a great portion of the energy of the gelel mine was absorbed by the Biju.
The effect of life energy towards him can did not stop there. To cast a jutsu If he knew a technique and had sufficient chakra to support its activation then all that he needed is the intention to cast it and it will be cast the way he want it. No more hand seals. No more yelling the name of the technique out loud to augment casting.
He can also change the shape and properties of his body to fit his needs. He can grow wings, fangs, claws, tails, or any weapon he wanted his body to turn into. This of course require practice and time but with the shadow clone jutsu in his arsenal, mastering anything is never a problem anymore. A 'battle mode' form is something Gaara only dreamed of having. His natural regeneration was also enhanced and he already tried many things to deal damage to his body including stabbing the head and heart but he did not die. Actually, his clone did not die. He wasn't brave enough to try it on himself, but look at that a head stab is not considered as dealing fatal damage to his clones and don't 'poof' them anymore.
In addition to this, there is a change in the color and quality of his chakra, his chakra can be said to be denser when compared to the normal chakra produced by shinobi. Using similar jutsu will end up with his jutsu besting the other. As for the color change, it became vibrant green from the previous blue chakra. No adverse or positive effect is observed to date. For elemental affinities, the limitation of his body could be said to have loosened up a little and now he is also attuned to water and fire element.
He did not have the intention of learning every jutsu in existence like some perverted scientist who liked to cross-dress. More like cross-body, but that's more or less the same thing according to 'Altered Carbon' and the man himself.

Gaara's Tutubi hovered at his secret base which can not be observed from above anymore. He collapsed the top parts including the surrounding rocks to cover the ancient structure. He made a different entrance to the base which is more secured and more hidden from plain sight. Get it? Nevermind.
Tutubi flew dangerously close to the ground and a rock wall opened up for its entry when the gate closed, it appeared as if nothing happened to the surroundings and no trace can be seen. Tutubi gently landed and a bunch of clones came to greet them to take charge of the babies. They will also be introduced to life energy but Gaara guessed that one needed to circulate chakra in order to interact with the mysterious life energy in the gelel minerals.
The time spent on this base is not without results. Gaara and his team of clones discovered that the gelel mines is actually recovering the life energy he and the Ichibi took. The reason and the process is still unknown but he decided to proceed slow and steady in order to win the race. (That's right, talking about you BIG brother turtle.)
He didn't want to compromise this wonder of the world that he found. Honestly, how old is this ruin? Did Kagura arrive first or did the gelel civilization precede the mother of ninjas? Why are they so advanced? Space-time portal? This is something akin to timetravel if Gaara had a say in it. Well he did so that's that, more research is needed. Honestly, this world alone is so vast and interesting enough that Gaara was already beginning to wonder when he will be able to fully explore its entirety. Not to mention that there are aliens in this universe too, so there's that.
