Iclyn

"He is the only key of your accession to the crown," Dalon said.

"I know that but why him?" I asked.

"Where does your power resides?" Dalon asked me.

"In my hair"

"Besides that. The main source of your power," Dalon looked at me expectedly.

"The Hail tree," I mumbled.

I remembered the hail tree mark on his chest.

I am born with it.

"Exactly. It's him because that's his fate. He is the chosen one for you," Dalon said.

I glanced at Jackson who looked as clueless as me.

"Your Majesty, you are royal blood. You know, how prestigious the crown is. We are aware of its power. It's the crown who chooses the person as it's the owner. None of us have that power. And Leo Miles is the only one who can touch the crown. That's how your fates are entangled. You are supposed to make him bestowed us with his presence in this world, he will have to be here at your coronation ceremony, to place the crown on your head," He explained, observing my every move.

"What the witches hell? An ordinary human can touch the supercilious crown, when none of us can't," I fussed, standing up.

"Yes Your Majesty. Why do you think Serena and Kaen want him to die? Because only he can retrieve the crown from The Hail tree," he elaborates further.

"And why he has that mark on his chest?"

"You saw his chest, Your Majesty?" Jackson asked and I gave him a look.

"Leo is connected with the source to maintain your powers. You protect him from the demons from our world, he protects you from the demons from their world. His warmth energized you. My apologies to say this unfortunate sentence, Your Majesty. But you might have not survived there without him," he said.

"Is he safe? In my battle, he is dragged just because of his ridiculous fate. Will he survive after retrieving the crown from The Hail Tree?" I asked, just the notion of him being in peril pounded my heart.

I don't want him hurt.

"He will if you protect him. The witches, Serena, Kaen, and all the people you are against of your coronation, will try their best to harm him. So anyhow, he must be protected, Your Majesty"

Serena and Kaen tried to kill him thrice already.

"Jackson! Where is he now? Is he alright?!" My icy voice echoed in the palace.

"Yes Your Majesty. I perished their memories of you. He and the other boys won't remember you unless you want," he clarified.

"But, I not with him. What if Serena and Kaen are on their way to kill him?" I asked as uncertainty commenced to unravel within me.

"Your Majesty, I enclasped the ring given by your mother, around his neck. He and the people around him will be safe due to the ring," he said.

I glance at my hands, my ring finger was bare. Just the dent of the ring dwelled.

"Then how did Kaen tried to harm me yesterday?" I asked.

"The ring operates when your powers are at the significance. You were drained, your pulse was low, almost all your powers succumbed when you created a blast of snow hail, to safeguard Leo," Dalon said.

I grind my temples stooping on the throne. Why he has to be towed in this bunch? He was living his happy life then I crashed into his world.

"Don't fight your fate. You both exist because of each other. Your fates are entwined and you can't disavow that. Please take care, I will have to take my leave as the conference of ministers began," Dalon stand and smoothened his white satin robe.

"Permit me, Your Majesty," he bowed.

"Later send me the details regarding the administration, Minister Dalon," I stand.

He walked revered and departed from the throne hall.

I settled down, the string of thoughts all about him invaded my mind.

"Your Majesty, a human has blessed you with long life, would you like to know about it," Jackson asked.

I motion my hand so he can present the visual. Jackson's hands glinted with gold and a neon screen was depicted on the crystalline wall.

The picture of a woman with a baby in her arms, her hus, band, and her son was portrayed.

"Let beautiful girl, who helped me,  be blessed with immense happiness," she muttered.

The newly born giggled and I laugh looking at their bond.

"It's been years since I saw you laugh, Your Majesty," Jackson commented.

"I am envious of humans now, they laugh now and then," I told him.

"Don't I make you laugh?" he pouted.

"I told you that you look like a duck when you do that," I said.

"Quack quack quack!" He demonstrates a duck squatting down, I laughed looking at him.

"There you laughed," he pointed.

"Yeah. Jackson, I want to go back to another world. I will be anxious if he is not in front of my eyes. But no one should know, that I am not in the palace except you and Minister Dalon," I said.

"Yes, Your Majesty. Permit me to make the arrangements," he bowed and disappeared from the room.

I heaved a sigh fiddling with my rings.

Will Leo risk his life for me?

Will he trust me with his life to leave his world and come here?

I laughed. He must be delighted that I vanished from his life.

Leo

I drive from Black hallow street, at an exceedingly stagnant pace. It's been a month and no sign of her. None of the members remember anything. I showed them her clothes, I even inquired about her to the HOD. But everyone thinks I am gushing absurdity.

I am not.

She is real.

At least for me, she is.

The flickering blanket of luminaries garnished the dark sky, the deliciously slow breeze thumped on my face. I raced the bike down the street.

"Witchy witch witchdam asshole Jungle book!"

"Yah Fetus, shut up!"

I smiled remembering how she used to fuse at me.

Will I never see her again?

I halted the bike and seized my gun from the belt. I pull on the trigger and walked into the underground club. Owen and Logan caught my eye and I nod.

"Hey dude, you seem new in the area, who are you ?" The guard in front of the metallic door asked.

"Officer Leo," I replied and Logan knocked him to the ground. Owen took care of another guard.

"Let's get in. Owen from the south, Logan, I will enter from the front," I said and we separated our ways.

"Leo, I have parked the car right behind the club," Ian spoke in intercom.

"Okay," I muttered.

I walk into the congested club witnessing dim disco lights, a strong smell of alcohol and cigarettes, and the sweaty bodies dancing here and there.

"Leo, he is on your 4 O'clock," Owen said.

I turn in the instructed direction and saw the guy. I scoffed, he is just a freaking youngster and involved in narcotics dealing.

Logan and I silently converse with eyes.

Our target was encircled by the girls and his mobs. Clutching the gun in my hand, I approached him. He saw me and shoved the girl off of his lap. I saw him getting ready to run with his gang, I surged through the crowd to get them. Logan fled in another direction to get the three of them, Owen already caught the one, while I chased four of them through a dark alley. They took a swift right turn, I followed their lead and a kick in my stomach almost knock me to the ground.

I grunt in pain, lifting my head to look at that bastard.

But man, they were nearly twelve of them.  I am strong but I certainly can't take down all. They will crumble me easily.

I need to trick them.

I started showering the bullets on the concrete path. They instantly screamed and became chaotic. I scan their faces rapidly.

Goddammit! They are not the ones we want.

"Look dudes, I don't want you guys, let's separate our ways quietly," I said lowering my gun.

Before I knew a knife slides the side of my arm.

"FUCK! YEAH, YOU BASTARD!"

Four of them already ran away, I need to divide them to fight. I turn around and ran through the narrow streets, as expected they detached from each other, to get me. I easily took three of them down. But the last one aimed the gun at me. We stood head to head with the guns in our hands.

"You think I don't know your pistol is desolate?" he laughed.

Fuck my luck.

He pulled the trigger, and I kicked his hand. The gun went flying up before we both could catch it. Someone else did.

"You both are so noisy," she said unloading the gun and scattering bullets on the solid street.

"Woah beautiful, are you lost? It's not a place a lady like you should be present," he said.

I just froze, staring at her.

She laughed and her esoteric oceanic eyes gleamed her hairs sparkled.

"H-hey officer! Do something!" He nudged my shoulder.

She took a step closer, the guy screamed in fright and sprinted away.

She finally looked at me and smile, the familiar lavender scent feast in the atmosphere, the icy waves emitting from her gave me luscious chills.

The feeling I craved all this time, settled in me.

"Hello to you, Leo Miles," her frosty sensual voice said.

I couldn't comprehend a thing, I was just so overwhelmed by her presence.

I close the distance between us, she hoisted her brows. I held her face and crashed my lips on her.
