Cynthia subconsciously gripped Jacob's arm while simultaneously bending her knee and raising her leg. The person behind her seemed to have anticipated this, grabbing her leg.
Cynthia was slightly surprised. She looked up at Jacob with a slight frown. "Jacob Quinn, are you out of your mind?"
Jacob's face darkened, his eyes as black as ink. The muscles in his cheekbones tightened into a sharp line as he gritted his teeth. "Shouldn't I be asking you that?"
Knowing Jacob well, Cynthia understood that if he didn't get a satisfactory explanation today, he wouldn't let it go. Seeing Cynthia silent, Jacob asked again, his tone filled with a seriousness she hadn't heard in a long time. "Did I not warn you to stay away from Tristan Ford?"
Cynthia pursed her lips, preparing to answer, but Jacob spoke again, "Listen to me. I don't care when you started, or how far things have progressed, but you must immediately sever ties with Tristan!"
