Do You Miss Her?

Cynthia Shannon sat in Old Mr. Quinn's car.

She looked at the somewhat gloomy old man and obediently called out, “Grandpa.”

“You caused such a big commotion and didn't even bother to call me?”

Old Mr. Quinn grumbled, but his eyes revealed a hint of worry and tenderness when he looked at her.

Cynthia sensed that he wasn't really angry. She smiled brightly, “I didn't want Grandpa to worry. Besides, look, I'm perfectly fine now.”

She reached out and linked her arm with his, leaning against his shoulder in a spoiled manner. “Grandpa, don't be angry. I promise there won't be a next time.”

Old Mr. Quinn lowered his gaze, looking at the girl leaning on his shoulder. It was as if he saw his precious daughter snuggling in his arms and acting spoiled.

A faint glimmer flickered in his cloudy eyes, and he reached out to pat her soft hair. “You, you're so much like your mother.”

Upon hearing this, the smile on Cynthia's face faded slightly.
