When I walked on the site the first thing I felt was pure fear and a need to run away as fast as I could. I continued forward knowing I had a job I had to do and lost mortals to find. The Leaves crunched under my feet as the ruins loomed around me like sleeping remnants of the past. I came across the first site where the explorers had been digging and I started my search with a soft sigh.
The tracks of the explorers all lead down a dark hole in the ground. It was like I was staring into the void. With a sense of impending doom I made my way down into the hole. I was pleasantly surprised and delighted to find it was a staircase and not some hole I would have to crawl down or worst have to fall into.
As I walked down into the darkness the feeling of doom only got stronger making me want to turn back as every instinct screamed at me to do so. About what I assume was halfway down I took my flashlight out of my side bag and turned it on shining it in front of me to be my lone guide. When I reached the bottom I walked around the large space filled with tomb after tomb layered with dust and old bones.
Huddled in the corner I found the explorers all looking up with dead glassy eyes the final looks of terror frozen on their faces. I sigh and move away from the corpses to look around the tomb knowing that I needed to gather all the information I could before I was able to call in more agents to remove the bodies and secure the area.
I walked from tomb to tomb till I found one in the corner it was surprisingly clean of dust and bones unlike the others. Against every protocol I walked over to it and pushes the lid off. Something slammed into my face and I coughed violently and ran from the tomb out to the surface.
