Tears fell from Rexana's eyes to her shell as she held it close to her heart. Her tails started to change back to feet, as she crouched.
Daerin was still staring at her, however, she tried not to look back at him. It would only hurt her to see him that way, scared and looking disgusted at her. He didn't say another word again until Rexana finished wearing her dress and walked out of the door.
As soon as Daerin's bedroom door clicked to close, she leaned on it and blurted out the pain in her chest by whining silently. She simply opened her mouth and let all her frustrations out unsound.
However, there was a pain in her distorted face with the almost unending flow of water from her eyes.
Nevertheless, she had to remember the reason why she was there. She just had to let Daerin know the truth, and the painful truth was slapped on her hard enough for her to take.
