CHAPTER 77

" Are you ready to apologize now "? Troy whispered in Alice's ears during biology class.

Alice stared back at him with a sneer and thought of shoving a knife at his Adam's apple " Stay away from me " She spat at him ferociously.

Troy scratched at his newly shaved hair and thought of how else to get her attention, since after the excursion he had felt like she was avoiding him but she started with the cold shoulders right before the excursion so what happened to her? was it because he didn't support her with the girl that fought with her sister? .

" Alice you're acting childish I don't even know what I did wrong and you should apologize to me for ditching me during the excursion " .

" Really you don't know what you did wrong? What have you ever done right in your damn life huh? "

" I don't understand the reason you are acting this way " . He complained shifting close to her but she increased the distance between them.

" Nothing is wrong Troy and you're will do well to shut your mouth before I get caught talking while lesson is going on " .

" When did you start caring about rules? I want to speak with you now " He ordered.

Alice knew this route and have ventured into it with numerous times , she had always prided herself in being a badass queen and doing whatever she wanted even ayra believes she has males right under her feet so why had she allowed troy to control her this long? She had stayed offline right after the excursion and he hadn't even being concerned about her welfare, and now he was demanding for her attention as though he owned her or something. Angry and bitter she opened her mouth to put him in his place but she remembered her birthday which was fast approaching and swallowed hard, after her birthday she promised herself leveling her eyes with his " One more word from you Troy and you will have to find another girl to cheer for you during the football finals " She threatened knowing that Troy loved his reputation and would never want to ruin it by taking another girl apart from her which would lead to tongues wagging, following her threat he turned mute and relaxed back on his chair. Alice took a relieved breath glad he wasn't in close proximity with her anymore and immersed herself back on the lesson going on but once again it was interrupted because a junior student came in and whispered something in the teacher's ear and immediately she was done Alice knew it was about her and merely wore a facade of superiority and waited for her name to be called and it came soon enough.

" Alice Thompson the principal requests for your presence immediately after this lesson".

" I would rather go now " She started standing up from her seat " This lesson is luring me to sleep as it is and this visit to the principal's office is a welcome relief " She concluded satisfied with the look of shock on the teacher's face and that of awe from her fellow classmates.

Getting to the principal's office she sat gingerly on the seat and thought of the last time she had been there , the school had wanted her to participate in cheerleading squad for a competition around their district and she had obliged with hard work and gut she had brought the cup home to the praise and worship of the whole school, somehow she knew this time her visit to this museums alike room filled with medals , cups and pictures of outstanding students was gonna be different. Patiently waiting for the principal she contented herself by starring at ayra's profile smiling at her from a picture snapped when she had won a math competition .

" Miss Alice I thought I made it clear you should come only after the lesson " Mrs Louis intoned cooly stepping inside her office .

Alice stood up respectfully and waited for her to have her seat before sitting down herself . Mrs Louis was one person you can never catch with a strand of hair unruffled, she was an embdioment of perfection herself and her designers suit was always ironed and well suited for her frame , she spoke with a direct peculianess that can only be attributed to her alone .

" I didn't want to keep you waiting ma'am plus I have an appointment after the lesson therefore I figured we would help each other by being here earlier than planned " Alice replied sweetly.

Mrs Louis raised a perfectly arched brow at the arrogant girl before her and wondered the best manner to approach the matter at hand. " Alright miss Alice I don't appreciate your actions but I would overlook it as there are more important things I have to say " .

" You have my undivided attention ma'am " She replied still smiling sweetly .

" I will go straight to the point fighting in this school is greatly frowned upon and prohibited in this our esteemed school and you miss Alice broke that rule during the just concluded excursion " . She muttered with a heavy tone.

Alice had to stop herself from yawning and simply retained the gaze of the older woman. " I know about all the rules in this school I have been here like forever " .

" Yet you broke them miss Alice " . Mrs Louis mouthed greatly disappointed.

" With all due respect ma'am you haven't stated the purpose of this meeting, are you asking me the reasons for my actions or just rubbing it on my face? " She muttered before she could stop the words.

" Hmm you would do well not to disrespect me miss Alice because I can give you an indefinite suspension or worse explosion if you don't behave yourself and since you mentioned it, you might as well explain yourself before your punishment commences .

" I'm being wrongfully accused I didn't fight with anyone it was a case of self defense " Alice stated folding her arms.

" That's not the report I got from my teachers and the victim in question was hospitalized for some time why will you beat someone till the point of death? " .

" My sister was the victim ma'am did you ask your teachers the reason I beat her up the first place? The girl in question tried to physically harm my sister and disgrace her in a new land !!! ".

" Miss Alice there are other ways to go about it physically harming her leaves you in the same level with her " .

" I don't care fighting is prohibited in this school but is there any rules against attempted bullying and embarrassment? " Alice asked her blood boiling the only thing stopping her from having one of her fits is because she was speaking with the principal. " From your silence I presume the answe is No, so before you even think of punishing me for defending my sister from a bully bear it in mind that ayra was the real victim in this situation and Natasha would share the same punishment with me else -" .

" No need for threats miss Alice you can go back to your class and sorry for any inconvenience " Mrs Louis murmured feeling hot from the animosity emniting from Alice's eyes.

Relaxing her facial expression to a sweet demure one she thanked her ,bowed like a respectful student and stormed out of the office with a smirk .
