As I walked down the streets of California, I heard a small hum of music. I listened more closely and walked to the source of the sounds. The music was coming from a human radio in a large town square. There were shops all around and people laughing and dancing and generally having a good time. I listened to the song on the radio and smiled. Humans and their funky music. I liked it, I wanted a radio for my own. There had to be a shop around that sold the same radio that was playing the music in the square. Luigi pizza, 10 Bellow, Sugars, and Sweets, Mary's Electronics. Bingo! I smiled and walked over to the shop. I passed some people dancing and talking, they looked so happy and carefree. I wish I could be happy and carefree. I put that thought aside, I'm supposed to be on a break. I opened the door to the shop and walked inside. There was a plump woman behind the counter shaking her bottom to the same music on a different radio. She was putting something away in a shelf. "Erm...Excuse me-?" I asked embarrassed. "Oh-" She said and bumped her head on a shelf while getting up to face me. I gasped and asked. "Oh my, are you alright miss?" She chuckled nervously and said. "Oh yeah, I just forgot this shelf was here...hehe." She smiled. "Ok good, um do you have any radios in this store or...." I said. "Yes, I do young lady! These songs are really catchy aren't they?" She said and walked towards a stand with radios on it. "Would you like the handheld radio or the large radio?" She asked looking at me. I thought for a moment and then said politely. "The handheld one please." She picked up a small radio and waddled back behind the counter. She typed some numbers into the cash register and said. "That will be 22.57 please." She said smiling. I reach in my jean pocket and pulled out two 20 dollar bills. I handed them to her and she handed me the radio and started to get some change. "Erm- keep the change," I said. "Oh, thank you, have a nice day come again soon!" She said as I was walking out. I walked away from the town square with the dancing people and walked into an empty alleyway. I looked to see if anyone was around and lightly leaped away.
