```
The mysterious lady was the one who was controlling all those blade snakes from the movement of her fingers. When Jessica's power seemed to be drawn little by little again, that lady started another incantation and formed a huge red magical circle with different figures in front of her. The inner side of the enchanted shape is a perfect circle with multiple layers, and the outside was a square shape along with transparent reddish light emerging from it. From that circle, multiple reddish ropes came out, shining all over the night sky. Those ropes fluttered in their movement and headed towards Jessica.
Jessica continued and focused on her battle even though she didn't seem conscious. Her wild instinct, along with that dark killing attitude, made her stay in that fight longer. But when all her concentration was on those snakes, the red magical ropes grabbed her from the waist, tying her hands to not let her free.
Jessica tried to free herself from those ropes, but she was on the brink of exhaustion of Sisyphus Energy. Even after that, the red ropes were still sucking her energy.
(Sisyphus Energy, also known as "SY," is an ancient form of Trickster energy. It exists in everything around the world—plants, animals, the surroundings. It is more sensitive than a subdued presence in one's soul.
The utilization of this energy depends on the being. Those who can harness its energy can ascend to realms beyond imagination. People who have manifested this energy properly can strengthen their weapons, magic, combat skills, alchemy, and arts. However, the majority of people cannot utilize this energy, leading to envy and often resulting in wars throughout history.
Despite the potential of this force, political disturbances have hindered its proper use. Instead, it has caused chaos among different races throughout history, leading to isolation, hiding, fear, and thirst for revenge.
"But the source of this Sisyphus is still unknown.")
While flapping slowly from her wings in the sky, the mysterious lady closed her distance towards Jessica with silence and cold vibes. She approached near, regarding Jessica.
"What the hell happened to you?" she asked with a curious voice, directing her expression towards the rampaged Jessica.
"Grrgh," Jessica made weird noises.
When that mysterious lady was curiously looking towards her, Jessica broke free from her left-hand rope and tried to tear the mysterious lady's flesh with her sharp blade nails. However, the mysterious lady quickly grabbed her neck, strengthening her distance from Jessica.
Jessica was again caught by another red rope.
"You are pretty dangerous to let you free," the mysterious lady mumbled towards Jessica. "Well, not for long."
The mysterious lady turned around while swinging her hands in the air. As soon as she turned around, the snake-like structures were trying to form a square structure around Jessica. All the red ropes bound her wholly from head to toe. She was hanging in the center of the box attached from both ends, turning into shackles that started draining her energy. A moment later, Jessica lost consciousness again.
With the final loss of consciousness, Jessica's vision dimmed, silencing her pain with the closing of her world.
Mysterious lady relaxed for a moment, sighed.
"What a disaster? Didn't expect that she would go on a bizarre like this. What a day? Heavily breathe. What else do I have to witness today? Well, things can't go any worse than this, right?" She questioned herself, thinking while still hovering in the air. She seemed a little exhausted from that battle.
"Hmmm," with a big nod from her head, she self-explained her questions while placing her hands on her chin. "..."
Only a moment of silence later, she watched towards high up in the sky.
"Huh?" A gust of wind came along and removed her hood, revealing her face.
"Hey, Silvia!" a loud voice echoed around those valleys. It was Charles' voice from the mansion, which seemed to direct the mysterious lady's attention.
From Charles' words, it was confirmed that the mysterious lady was Professor Silvia Earnhardt, Professor Ray's daughter.
She swiftly directed to that voice. Her relaxed expression faded away from the hideous scenario in front. Those hands, which were covering Miles' body up until now, were incredibly increasing in numbers. Charles was still holding his ground, standing at the door of Miles' room. From the door, he was trying his best to get Miles out of that bed. But now, Miles was fully covered from those hands, and even his existence was unable to sense.
"Oh, no!" Silvia realized something important that she had forgotten from the battle with Jessica. She swiftly came down with a worried face.
Silvia quickly came down while leaving Jessica in the air, hanging on that square box.
"What's going on, Charles?" she asked.
"Can't you see?" Charles said in a frustrated way.
Silvia directed her vision on that room.
"W-what the...?" Her expression was distressed. "What is all this, Charles? Did you know any of this?"
"Where is he? Where is Miles?" "I can't sense his presence. Where is he, Charles?"
Silvia questioned, continuously watching that room and Miles in a worried expression.
"Relax," while calming Silvia, Charles said, "Look, I don't know. And I can't say for sure that he is alive or not. But first, we need to check out in there. Last time when I saw him, he was still in that bed covered by those hands. So, you see, I tried to get through, but as you can see, it burnt my leg." Charles said, directing attention to his injuries from the burn earlier. "So, get yourself together."
Silvia calmed her mind a bit. ((But why is she worried about Miles? What relation does she have with Miles?)) She straightened up her stance, tied her hair in a straight line, revealing her neck.
"Good, good, that's it. So, what's the problem, you say?"
"Well, as you already see, I can't get through. Can't you do something?" Charles said, directing attention to the situation.
She tilted her head to the left, her long hair juggling to near the ground. While looking at that wrecked room full of corpse hands with green flame, she tried to fly near Miles, but those green flames rose up high.
"Hmm, this won't do then. Well, how about this then?"
She quickly moved her wand and stuck it in the floor from the door. From both corners, the ice was starting to spread, covering those hands. The ice spread almost all over the room except the bed. Then she used another of her incantation and formed smaller ice needles in that room. With sharp blades, those ice needles spun on themselves and attacked those hands above the room that were covering Miles.
Those icy attacks continued for a while. After those efforts, Miles' head, along with his body, finally started to appear.
"Huuuuh!" gasped Miles in a long breath. From the gaps of the hands, he was desperately trying to breathe in. When the cover of hands in front of his eyes removed, he looked around while huffing deeply.
"W-what...? W-what...?" huffing continuously,
Here's the corrected version of your text:
Miles was in such a state that he was forcing his words to come, but from a loss of oxygen. He was unable to complete his sentences.
Even if he does get enough to breathe in, he can't move fully anytime sooner. His body was still covered by those hands. And his mind was still not completely covering up the situation.
The cause of Miles' situation was unknown, and his actions were so dull from the first incident that occurred in Mace Publisher. His actions and personality seemed to differ in such a state that he appeared to be a completely different person.
He was looking around like a newborn baby trying to learn about things, but at the same time, his memories were still intact. He saw a person in front, but he was still confused, unable to place his mind in one place.
"Don't worry, Miles. We will get you out from there," Silvia said while making a sad face.
Silvia tried to comfort him with her voice, but Miles looked in the distance towards Silvia, making her a little sadder and changing her expression to a bit dim.
While still struggling with those hands, he had regained some consciousness but couldn't comprehend the situation. He endured the pain from the scratches on his body from those hands.
From Silvia's attack, the number of hands started to decline, but the existing ones were still attached to Miles' body. Silvia used her wand with multiple spells in the room, creating a blizzard around the room and calming the green flames.
"Let's go." From Silvia's spell, the room froze around them. Both moved near Miles.
When they came near the bed, the hands on Miles' body faded away, but his upper clothes were torn at most parts. Silvia bent a bit near Miles, holding his hand with both of hers together. Her silver chilly hands were placed on his hands, but he didn't feel anything.
He was still in blurred vision with a hazed mind while sitting up in bed. "Miles, can you hear me? Miles, miles.... Mil...." He addressed his cold vision towards that dim voice in his ears. Silvia felt sad again with his expression towards her, and the temperature started to increase simultaneously.
"Careful," Charles said while rubbing his chilled hands. "U-Ah, yes!" With a stunned expression, she replied. "Doesn't seem like he is still in his mind," Charles said with a grumpy voice while looking at Miles.
"Yeah, it does seem like it," she replied with cold eyes. With the declination of their number, the remaining hands crawling out from the frozen ground started crawling up to Miles' chest. With sharp small blades, they pierced the crawling hands and stacked them on the other side of the wall.
"Nuisance." With cold eyes, Silvia threw those hands away from Miles' body. She stretched her hand in the air, producing a purplish liquid ice from her left hand and forcing it into the ground with cold eyes. The purplish ice spread not only to that room alone but all over the mansion and the nearby ground, freezing everything around except Miles, Charles, and herself.
The purplish ice was astonishing, turning the mansion into some sort of frozen castle. From those attacks, a frozen purplish mist formed around. Silvia sucked out that frozen mist, revealing the room conditions. All the remaining hands were frozen, and Miles was still stunned, moving nothing but blinking his eyes in a dull way.
"This shall do," Silvia said in a cold way, with purplish energy flowing around her. "Hmmm, with a grump way," Charles was standing there, analyzing the situation.
"Yeah, that may be, but why is he looking up into the sky? What could he be searching for in this dark night?" Charles said while stroking his beard.
"What?" Silvia directed his vision towards Miles. He was staring at the sky.
"But a moment ago, he wasn't moving at all." Huh, Silvia tried to wake him up by shaking his body. "Miles, miles, look here." Silvia's words seemed to be fading little by little to his ear.
It seemed like he was not aimlessly staring at the sky without any concern for the situation around him. Rather, it seems some familiar feeling is approaching towards him. A huge black mist was hovering with its dark, shapeless appearance straight above Miles' head. When Miles started to look closely at that figure, it started to form a shape—a huge feminine appearance.
Her head was down, along with her black hair covering the whole region of the sky around that valley. Dressed in dark mist all over appearance, her face was covered by a torn white mask with small cracks.
Her whole appearance was more or less like mist. Her hands were reaching out to Miles, trying to hold him from his back.
((A huge figure, appearance in the dark. What is that situation? Who or what is that thing?))
