Chapter 50

Itzy stormed out of the living room, clearly upset by Gerard's decision. Xinthy let out a sigh, her face filled with concern. Gerard himself shook his head, realizing he might have been the reason for his daughter's outburst. Meanwhile, Laszlo, Linus, Ryker, and Jace watched as Itzy distanced herself from them.

A heavy silence enveloped the room, broken only by Gerard's eventual words.

"Chase after her," he said. Everyone turned to look at him when he spoke; they weren't sure whom he was addressing.

"What did you say, hon?" Xinthy asked, moving closer to her husband.

Instead of responding to Xinthy's question, Gerard turned to face Jace and issued an order. "Go after my daughter and talk to her. Help her understand why I made that decision, because I know you understand my reasons."
