Just a moment before

Orchid's mom saw his son with Racquel, they were both waiting their turn just like everyone else. She knew that the 3 were going together thus left after sending him off with his friends. This was why she had arrived later than the three.

She had no qualms with sending her firstborn off with his friends. She didn't want to spoil his fun, to her, festivals like this are best spent with people no matter who they are. Plus spending such occasions with one's friends is a good way to strengthen their bond.

She lived her life having that sort of mentality, she loved spending time with people who made her happy, no matter who or where they are from. Such a personality not only made her happy but go through many heartaches but she eventually found the people she wanted to be with, she never regrets having opened up to so many people because if she didn't she would have found such genuine people in her life.

Seeing her son have such good friends made her so happy, she could only wish the same for her daughter when she enters school. This was exactly what she was about to wish for, her lotus that she was about to present to her almightiness, was with the hope of her second child to be able to foster such friendships when she enters the academy. She wanted the same for both her children.

She wore a flower-patterned kimono. The petals resembled that of an Orchid, the flower that she named her own son after. She looked elegant and anyone who saw her wouldn't think otherwise. She paired her kimono with her daughter's, they both looked like two peas in a pod dressed up like beautifully.

"Mother, can I go with brother and sister Racquel?" Orchid's little sister asks as she spots them. She loved Racquel, they hit it off every time they meet.

"No dear, let's not disturb brother okay, I am betting on the fact that those two get closer." she smiles devilishly, scaring both her husband and daughter.

"Dear, please don't try to push this on the both of them, knowing you, you already have the wedding day in mind..." her husband replies, truly concerned for his son.

"No..No...No...dont worry I am not going to do anything." just as she replies, the three hear a sudden scream.

"Run!" she didn't catch who it was but by the sound of it, she was sure it was her firstborn. She stood stunned for a while not knowing why there was a sudden panic spreading like wildfire.

"Dear hurry!" her husband shouted, pulling both her daughter and his wife along, running with the crowd.

"Why? Are we running..." she manages to ask her husband while trying to catch her breath.

Her husband brought them to the supplies room where all the prayer items were stocked. He rushed in slamming the door.

"That statue was possessed by a lesser demon..." he said looking around the room making sure it was safe.

"Then what about Orchid?" she asked worriedly.

"Mom? Dad? What's going on?" their daughter asks anxiously. She didn't know what was going on, she didn't look like she was coping with the whole situation all too well. No one could blame her as it wouldn't make sense if she did.

"Don't worry honey, everything is going to be alright..." her dad assured her. Holding her tight, he squeezed her tighter when he felt droplets of water collecting on his shirt. He didn't like when his daughter cried, it was something all fathers wouldn't want to see, in any circumstance.

After a while of hiding out in the closet, they decided to move out of the room, Orchid's dad had realized after that long, it would be wise to move out and escape. As they walked through the temple, they moved quietly trying their best not to step on any bodies on their way to the gate. Orchid's dad was carrying his daughter, he had asked her to not open her eyes for anything, he sternly told her not to, his wife followed right behind him following his pace.

There was a sound heard not far off from a distant room within the temple, the three hid trying their best not to be caught by the monster causing all that screaming. They saw two people running hand in hand towards the gate, they didn't notice who they were until the girl being pulled by the boy casted magic, a wall made out of the sand bloomed from the ground right in front of them.

Orchid's mom was so happy to see them both, she was about to run after them but was held back by her husband worrying that it might cause them to slow down.

"Let's meet them outside, we can't slow them down that thing is going to come after us if we don't speed up." just as they were about to make their way to the gate, the two parents saw the two stop in the middle of the hall, talking. They got concerned and they were right to be, as the monster blew the sand wall apart and was about to snap them both into two. They both instinctively ran towards them, pushing them out of the way.

Orchid's sister fell to the ground, not knowing what was going on, she didn't get sight of her parents death but saw her brother, she walked towards him asking about their mother and father but before she could get an answer, she met her demise too.

Orchid wasn't able to process the whole thing as it played out eventually his body responded by going autopilot, he summoned the same being he did when he faced off with Jake, there was nothing that could hold him back this time, he let everything go. It was now a battle between the two goddesses, one made out of water and the other of gold.
