Lu Nanfeng's Wrath

Lu Nanfeng was staring blankly at He Lixue, who was messing with his face. He did not feel any displeasure, but he did think that he was losing face in front of his secretaries, so he calmly grasped her hands and removed them from his face, while he straightened his back.

Seeing that he so calmly removed her hands, showed that he was not angry, everyone was shocked. Who could touch him so casually in this world?

"Be good, I need to solve this," Lu Nanfeng said, as he patted He Lixue's head as if she was a little bunny he was petting.

Feeling slightly disgruntled, He Lixue grunted from the pat, and she raised her hand to tidy up her hair again.

Every secretary was shocked to see the interaction between the two of them. Although there was no actual attraction in their eyes, they seemed so used to being close that everyone could not help but wonder, was this really, He Lixue? Had she not just woken up from a coma? How could they be so familiar with one another?

Lu Nanfeng placed a hand in his trouser pocket and looked at the many secretaries in the office.

"Zhuo Miao, you are hereby stripped of your position as a Head Secretary in this office. You can choose to either resign or become a printer girl in the planning department. I dare not give you a task where you are to meet people, as it seems you view them through tainted glasses and make your own judgment."

The head secretary, Zhuo Miao, was feeling horrible and full of fear. To get a job in the Fenghuang Group's main office was not easy, also she could not accept the ridicule she would receive from becoming a printer girl. In the end, it was better to resign and find another job.

"I will go to Human Resources and give them my letter of resignation," she said with a pale face, and her hands clenched tightly. She dared not look at He Lixue nor Lu Nanfeng. She feared Lu Nanfeng, but she was full of hatred towards He Lixue.

Everything was that little woman's fault! She had seduced the CEO and caused him to ignore all her contributions over the years and even tell her to scram!

Lu Nanfeng nodded his head approvingly, then his eyes glanced over everyone else, and then he said with a loud voice. "I am warning you all. He Lixue is important to me, and I will not accept anyone who bullies her; however, she is new in the company, and it is okay for her to be low-key, so I do not want to see anyone talking about what transpired here. Also, she will be allowed entry into my office at any given time."

The secretaries were nodding their heads and were all feeling lucky that they had not insulted her before, as they had just observed the drama unfold.

None of them had ever thought that their CEO had a relationship with this plainly dressed woman.

Now that Lu Nanfeng had warned them all, none of them dared to be unattentive towards He Lixue.

They had been eager to share the news of He Lixue's arrival on the worker's chat group on the phone, but after hearing the threat from Lu Nanfeng, all of them quickly put away their phones and pretended to know nothing.

In the Fenghuang Group's main office, everyone had signed a non-disclosure agreement as a part of their contract. If they were to disclose something that was told to be a secret, they could get sued for up to a billion yuan. No one could afford that as a white-collar worker.

He Lixue could not help but giggle when she saw their expressions, and she quickly took Lu Nanfeng's hand in hers.

Previously Lu Nanfeng had grasped her hand, and she had not felt anything amiss, but now that she grabbed his, she felt how big his palm was, it was completely surrounding her small hand. It gave her a sense of comfort.

"Well, that's good too," she said as she nodded her head in approval. "I am new here, and its not good to have rumors about me already. It is much better to deal with things myself."

The secretaries were shocked. Who would not want to be protected by the big boss? How could she happily smile and say that she wanted to deal with everything herself?

Lu Nanfeng, however, was proud of He Lixue's independence. He wanted to see her grow on her own, not as a small bird inside a cage; he wanted her to spread her wings and become a magnificent figure on her own.

Zhuo Miao was very unhappy with how things had ended. She dared not do anything else than go to Human Resources to resign. She knew that if she resigned, she would be able to find another job elsewhere, but if she were fired, it would be near impossible.

Even so, she still felt that it was unfair. She thought that this little girl was the cause of her misfortune, and her eyes were blazing with hatred whenever she looked at He Lixue.

Seeing her eyes, He Lixue completely ignored her. So what if she was going to try and get revenge? She, He Lixue, feared no one! Not to mention, this was a mere secretary, how could she possibly pose a threat to He Lixue?

As Zhuo Miao left, she began planning her revenge, her eyes glistening with malice, but no one really cared about her. Many were shocked when they heard that the Head Secretary had resigned, and many came to ask into the matter, but no one dared say a word.

They all feared Lu Nanfeng's wrath.
