In past years, fierce battles for these tokens sometimes even led to the fall of elite cultivators.

Although each of these elites had the potential to become future leaders against the devils, human nature is complicated. Even the most honorable people can be tempted by the allure of power, and the fights often lead to casualties. This brutal competition was one way humanity chose its strongest. Devils did the same, but their methods were even harsher.

The crystal tokens didn't appear as quickly as the silver and black tokens had. In the dense fog of spiritual energy, they rolled and churned as if being chewed up, the movement growing more intense, as if any moment they might burst out.
