Chapter 5 Becoming an assistant 2

Lex knew Pius would suffer but he had to do it to clarify himself. Pius became hot at the sound of the alpha tone but to everyone surprise this little girl didn't bulge. the alpha tone had no effect on her. That means she was human.

"Of course I do and I am deeply sorry sir" Iva apologize.

"Who are you" Lex asked in wonders.

"I am Iva, a new intern here" Iva asked.

"Do you know Enya?" Lex asked

"No I don't" Iva answered. Lex looked at her for a minute and they was no hint of lies in her eyes.

"Leave" Lex said. Iva nodded and left. 'what a weirdo' she thought.

"what was that for" Pius queried.

"I was only making sure of something, am sorry but at least now I know she isn't Enya. but the resemblance is alarming and the tattoo" Lex said

"Couldn't you try a less sacrificing test, please leave me out of this. you could have just tested her with Cold" Pius said sadly.

Yes that wasn't a bad idea. Enya goddess of fire hate cold as that was her only weakness. why didn't lex think of that earlier but thanks to Pius he got the idea now. the only problem was getting Iva or Enya to his house and that wasn't so possible. suddenly an idea came across his mind.

"Call Iva, tell her she has been promoted to my personal assistant as an intern. Give her all the details and tell her to come to my house to take a few things later." Lex said

" whose personal assistant?" Pius asked

"mine of course, any objections?" Lex asked

"No I was just saying, I thought you hated humans?" Pius asked.

"well I have changed my mind" lex said.

knowing that his alpha was a man of few words, Pius stopped the questions and carried out the orders he was given.

Iva was surprised, how could she get a promotion on the the first day at work. this was indeed a punishment, why was the president being so childish. from what she has gathered, the president was cold and never socialize. he never needed anyone apart from Pius so why would he suddenly need an assistant and chose her who was just a new intern if not to get back at her????

Really the universe hated her.
