HE WOULD MAKE LIFE A LIVING HELL FOR THEM

Mo Moyan buried her face deep into her pillow and let out a scream, her hot tears streaking and coursing down her cheeks unto the soft material, causing it to get wet in the process.

Following their arrival back home from the station, Lu Jin had carried her straight into her room and laid her gently on the bed and as if knowing she needed time alone to herself, he left the room after telling her to call out to him when she needs anything.

Now all alone, she began, to feel horrible remembering how much her parents had humiliated her back at the workplace.

As a matter of fact, the incident had left quite a huge stain in her memory to the point she's feeling too embarrassed to even step foot back there.

Wasn't she just pitiful?

Her own mother, the woman that bore her unapologetically slandered her right in front of people and accused her of things she had no idea of and as if that wasn't enough, she went ahead to tell lies against her in public all because of Mo Youyou, a girl she herself begged her parents to take into their home.

She was nothing but a complete nobody when she had first met her... an orphan whose life was gradually rotting way in the slums.

On that fateful day she saw her, she, along with her grandmother, her father and also her mother had gone to the slum to check out the progress of their new company that was being built around that place and when they arrived there, she noticed a group of kids playing and felt like joining them.

Being a single child that she was, and not having anyone to play with ever, she thought it'd be fun to join the kids and play so while her parents and her grandmother were busy going about inspecting the work being done, she slipped away from them and walked towards the group, but before she got close to them, however, she saw Mo Youyou playing all by herself and was immediately reminded of how alone she always was.

Instantly, she felt a deep connection with her and went over to her and offered to play with her instead.

By the time her parents were done with everything and were ready to go, she had already taken a huge liking to Mo Youyou and wouldn't go home if they don't bring her along.

Although her parents made it clear they couldn't just bring her along because it wouldn't be right, she was too young to understand why so even when they left with the promise of going back later for her, she ended up crying throughout the journey home and the rest of the day.

She even continued crying for the next few days until her parents couldn't take it anymore and went to look for Mo Youyou and brought her in.

Now, as she thought back to everything, she wished she hadn't met her that day or even asked her parents to bring her into their home... their life.

Had she just listened to her parents and forgotten all about her, she wouldn't have been in this situation at all and maybe, just maybe, things would have been a lot more different than they were now and she'd have still had her parents and avoid all these drama.

With her face still buried in the pillow, Mo Moyan continued to reminisce about the past, regreting all her past mistakes that led her to present predicament.

Still deep in thought, she felt a familiar touch and slowly looked up and upon seeing Lu Jin sitting on the bed staring at her with a sad and distressed look, she jumped into his arms, and began to sob into his chest.

Earlier at the station, she had seen how he stood up for her without any second thoughts and that left her in awe.

Even while on the way back home from the police station, he had held her close to him like she meant a lot to him... like if he were to let go of her any moment she would disappear and that made her feel a sense of belonging.

It made her feel like she wasn't alone anymore and for once, she realised that although she may not have her parents love, she at least have his, even if it wasn't going to last forever.

Though the man has proven to care a lot about her on numerous occasions, Mo Moyan still can't shake off the fact that their marriage was just a ruse... a relationship that wasn't based on true emotions and it's why she kept on having this foreboding sense of feeling that sooner of later they were both going to part and go their separate ways.

She wasn't sure when it'll happen though but she was convinced it will, however, she promised herself she wasn't going to let that stop her from living in the moment anymore.

No matter what may come, she was going to cherish every single moment she shares and spends with him.

She'll make sure she makes every little second with him worthwhile and memorable.

On the other hand, Lu Jin not wanting to ruin the moment for Mo Moyan allowed her to cry freely while he continue to caress her back in a gentle manner.

Ever since their first meeting, she had always proven to be quite a very tough young lady so seeing her so broken made his heart ache.

If there was something he could do to erase all the painful memories from her mind he would gladly do it.

He wouldn't even care about what he'll lose in the quest to do that, provided she'll be happy and cheerful once again, he'll be willing to risk anything.

As a matter of fact, he would even go as far as to make her parents disappear if that's what it'll take to see her smile once again.

" I'm sorry you had to go through all these, " he whispered and leaned over to give her a light kiss on her forehead.

No matter what happens, he, Lu Jin was never going to let her face the world all alone.

He would continue to stand by her every moment of their life and make sure no one gets to hurt her ever again.

Should anyone go against his beautiful wife again, he, Lu Jin would personally make sure they wish for death instead because he would make life a living hell for them.
