CEO CHEN HAD A LIKING TO HER

"What is it you want to say?I hope you're not trying to reject the offer because people are dying to get this position that you've been given."Lu Jin's voice rang in her ears with a trace of unhappiness but she knew she couldn't allow him to steer her off her plans.

"Sir,sorry to be rude but I'm not people and I've never dreamt of working for L Star so I'll prefer to be signed under CJ."She felt the weird looks being addressed her as she spoke but she still kept her cool and seemed reserved.

"Can you give me a tangible reason why you're rejecting this offer?"The truth was that Lu Jin knew she'll be hard to get and he knew why she was rejecting the offer but he still wanted to know."Go on...give me a reason why you don't want to be signed under my group?"

"I think working under a woman is probably the best option for me coz I don't want anyone to think I jumped unto anyone's bed to get the job."In an instant,Lu Jin's hard gaze darkened and everyone felt that Mo Moyan was putting herself in danger.

Who would dare talk to someone like Lu Jin in that manner?

"Alright,since you're the one being signed,I guess your opinion matters the most so off you go."Lu Jin's face was full of smiles as he talked but Mo Moyan knew he was still angry and was just using the smile to cover it up...But to the others,it was a blessing since Lu Jin was known to rarely smile.

Afterwards,the rest of the conference went well other than Mo Moyan being suffocated to death by the vicious gaze he was passing at her,everything went on fine and she was signed under CJ.

But even though she was happy,she knew she was in a very big trouble.

As the first ray of sunlight shone brightly in the spacious bedroom,Mo Moyan's alarm beeped waking her up in the process.She extended her hands backwards to see if the man had come back to sleep beside her but was disappointed to know that she was alone on the bed and sighed.

It had been two days since she was signed and in these two days,she felt bad because she knew he was avoiding her due to what had happened at the conference.

After getting up and cleaning herself,she headed downstairs towards the kitchen."Good morning Nana!"She greeted as she walked into the kitchen and saw Nana busily cooking.

"Yanyan...how was your night?"

"It was very good..Had he been home?"

"No...He sent Ning Jie to get his clothes."

She doesn't want to be entangled with him so why is his absence affecting her?

As she was thinking,her cellphone rang and after seeing that the call was from Suyan,she pressed the receive button and placed the phone to her ears.

"Suyan,how are you?"

"Fine dear...I have good news for you."Song Suyan's voice rang out full of excitement and Mo Moyan's mood lit up.

Song Suyan's calls are always of good news so she was keen on knowing what the news was about.

"Go on Suyan,tell me the good news..I'm dying out of curiosity already."

"You know the CEO of CJ,the one I told you about,she asked to meet you today."

"Really?She did..?"

"Yep,and she's meeting you specially..."

"So when are we supposed to go?"

"She's meeting you privately so I'll just send you the details of the location.Alright,well talk later."

Several minutes after she had breakfast,Mo Moyan found herself in front of Tang restaurant,the location that Song Suyan had sent her and walked in."Hello!"She greeted the receptionist warmly when she got to the reception desk.

The receptionist looked up from what she was doing and smiled politely at her,"Hello!"

"I have a meeting with someone here...Uhm the CEO of CJ."

"Oh!You mean CEO Chen,you must be Mo Moyan."

"Yes!"

"Yanqing,take miss Mo upstairs to the business suite."

"Thank you!"After thanking the receptionist,Mo Moyan was led by Yanqing,a smallish looking girl with a pretty but solemn face into a spacious room that was decorated in warm colours with a table set in the center.

A look of surprise flashed past her face when she noticed the figure sitting behind the table.She had prepared to meet an old fragile woman supporting herself with a walking stick but what she saw was a young looking lady with beautiful long black hair that fell on her shoulders making her look like a model.

As she was led to the table,Chen Jiahe stood up with a smile and hugged her warmly.Looking at the woman in front of her,Mo Moyan was perplexed;it was as if she was staring at the goddess of beauty.

After dismissing Yanqing,Chen Jiahe turned towards Mo Moyan,"Have your seat Mo Mo."

It was then that Mo Moyan realised that she had been staring at her for a long time.

"I'm very sorry."Mo Moyan apologized as she took her seat.

"It's fine...Who would've thought you would grow into such a beautiful lady."

At the frown on Mo Moyan's face,Chen Jiahe let out a light hearted laugh."You seem confused right,dear?"

With confusion written all over her face,Mo Moyan nodded her head in response to Chen Jiahe's question.

Apart from a slight resemblance to Lu Jin,she doesn't seem familiar to her at all.

"I used to visit your grandmother when she was alive but you were young by then."A light shone in Mo Moyan's eyes when Chen Jiahe revealed this to her.

So it means the CEO of CJ was her grandmothers friend...

"I had promised to take care of you after she dies but I couldn't do so and I felt so bad when I learnt you had been sent to jail.You know I had visited your parents and told them of my plan to bail you out but they threatened to sue me;not that they would've hurt me anyway but by then I had some issues to take care of so I had to let go."

As she listened to Chen Jiahe talk,she realised that her grandmother was the only one who had really loved her;if what she's hearing about her parents is true,then they're the ones she had to blame for her misfortunes,although she was the one to have brought Youyou into the house.

After pausing for a while,Chen Jiahe continued with what she was saying,"I had tried to get you out later when I was done taking care of the issues I had but I realised your parents and your sister paid people to keep you from coming out...I should've strived and get you out by then,because I feel sad for letting such talent like you waste in jail."

So her parents even paid her off to rot in jail?She had never thought that the two people who gave birth to her would behave towards her in this kind of manner.

Right now she can't cry because it will not help her,now that she knows what her parents were doing to her,she'll strive hard and make it to the top.

"I invited you here today to repay you for not fulfilling my promise to your grandmother...So now that you're under me,I'll make sure they pave way for you,to make things smoother and easier and also your grandmother asked me to marry you to my son so I'll make sure you redeem yourself and then marry him."As Chen Jiahe spoke,Mo Moyan immediately understood what she meant and smiled faintly.

"I'm sorry CEO Chen,but I joined the industry because I know I can make it though I still have a lot to learn I don't want to be treated differently from my colleagues and also,thanks for caring but I'm married now and I also don't want to cause any problem for my parents...I'm still hurt knowing they chose a stranger over me but I don't mean to destroy their peaceful family."

Looking at her as she spoke,Chen Jiahe felt she was a kind soul and was set on helping her to the top.

"Alright then..So when did you get married?"

"The day I came back from prison.It's a weird marriage."

"So your husband,who is he?"Chen Jiahe was concerned about her especially when she told her she married just when she came back from jail.

She can't allow any harm to come to her again.

"It's okay if you don't want to talk about him."Chen Jiahe spoke when she felt Mo Moyan's reluctance to answer her.

Right now she knew she couldn't pressure her so she'll just give her time to get used to her.

"I don't mean to seem rude to you,it's just that I promised my husband not to reveal his identity to anyone."

If not for that,she would've asked her if she had any relations to Lu Jin...

After their chat,Chen Jiahe ordered for a huge banquet and soon,three chefs appeared with varieties of food with nice aroma and served them.

When she tasted the food,a questioning look appeared on her face.

"Mmmh!This tastes nice.I guess I now know why you chose this place for our meeting...But I'll probably be an expensive restaurant."

"No it's not and I didn't po pick this restaurant,I own it."

"You...This restaurant is yours?"Mo Moyan asked with surprise written all over her face and Chen Jiahe nodded.

"My mom and dad used to work as chefs in a restaurant while I was young so growing up I had an attraction towards restaurants and I decided to build one to continue what my parents started.Maybe I'll treat you to my killer recipes one of these days."

Mo Moyan thought Chen Jiahe would be a proud person yet after meeting her now,she realised that she was a very nice and amicable person.

Who would've thought that a wealthy CEO like her would know how to cook?

After their sumptuous meal,Chen Jiahe gave her contact details to Mo Moyan and after that they said goodbye to each other.

Whilst sitting in the car on her way home,Mo Moyan kept thinking about Chen Jiahe's welcoming attitude and was glad she made the right decision by declining Lu Jin's proposal to sign her but what she didn't know was that Chen Jiahe was a very strong and cold person and was nice to her because she had a liking to her...Even though she was a nice person,Chen Jiahe was strict and firm and projects herself as an unapproachable person to the outside world.
